Here is an example, and to be clear, it's a fictional account of what might be an exchange between us: "I'm sorry I made fun of your haircut, Kay. It doesn't actually make you look like a mental patient." In your example, an exchange would be more like this: "I'm sorry I made fun of your haircut, Lehn. It's incredible of course, but I find myself quite distracted and unable to concentrate, so please consider wearing a hat." See the difference there? It's the old "Hat and the Haircut" paradigm, Kay. Word is they've been trying to unload this plane on the open market for a few years but there are no takers. So gifting it is one of few other options. Sure, a properly executed squib kick puts us in a better position to win that game than a touchback, but there's no guarantee. The next regular season game we played KC we scored with 16 seconds left in the 1st half, squibbed it, and they still scored a FG before the half ended. There's also a famous playoff game we were involved in where we scored with 16 seconds left in the game, squibbed it, and it was returned it for a TD. I've never had a problem with the touchback decision (the miscommunication over the decision is a separate issue).
