I go back and forth on whether I view this as “price controls” It certainly blurs the line, which I’m not a huge fan of. Any Republican just gobbling this up without hesitation is probably doing so as a cheerleader rather based on any serious contemplation of how this will work. It’s also in line with his whole “we’re getting ripped off tariff” talking point where he’s now wanting pharma companies to raise prices elsewhere to make up for lowering prices in America.. because he is correct on that point - Pharma companies are ripping Americans off to subsidize lower drug costs around the globe. Price controls vs supply and demand doesn’t truly apply here given we’re held hostage by being a wealthy nation that is forced to pay these prices due to their not being competition in this space via a global marketplace.

Just a guess but I think the Bills open up on the road this year. Last year they opened at home against the Cardinals. Next year is the first year at the new stadium. You know how the NFL likes to make a big deal about everything. I think they put the new stadium in the spotlight week 1 of the 2026 season. If the Bills don't win the Super Bowl and play the 1st Thursday night game, then they will get week 1 at home on SNF or MNF so the 1st game in the new stadium gets national exposure. I don't know if the league will have the Bills open at home 3 straight years which is why I think this year they open on the road.

ditto but have plenty of Ryobi gear so a few backup batteries Hearing it’s a thick turf - I definitely notice the struggle a good before before it goes out so I do my really thick section first and the average sections go fine through to the end. I’m normally right on the edge of 1 charge

nice. Greetings. I am always open to hearing good new music. What I find dauntiing is sifting the wheat from the chaff. There is so much music I could care less about. This to me is fresh and my guess would be played on an indie rock channel. I'll have to Google this band. thanks for posting. This for me is a garage band tight vocals and interesting changes. Nice.

FYI - Please refer to the part of my post that discusses EO vs Legislation. I specifically stated that, regardless of how one feels about this EO, it will have popular public support. The rest of your post is just Trump hating. Who knows if the India/Pakistan ceasefire holds, but at least the WH got involved and seems to have made the situation a bit better. Those like you were accusing them of having no handle on the situation just hours prior to the announcement. I’ve mentioned multiple times that I’m on the fence about tariffs, but the China 90 day deal is objectively a good news cycle. Regardless of us going scorched earth on all countries, China NEEDED to be the one country we did do this with and Trump is the only one to actually try it. Oh, sorry.. Now we’re mad at Trump for taking 5 months to get a hostage released that would’ve never happened under Biden or Harris? Ok.

Beane elaborates on the process of picking Josh Allen
Mr. WEO replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs by the end had totally messed up Josh. Forcing him throws just to shut him the F up. This was all predictable. Josh made Diggs--not the other way around. Again, players get injured--that's why extrapolation is a completely meaningless exercise. Coleman had a decent first half of the season--although nearly 1/3 of his 8 game output came in 1 game. Take out that clear outlier and you get a more accurate picture of what he did. -
I was going to mention a robotic lawnmower but the good ones ain't cheap.

Beane elaborates on the process of picking Josh Allen
Mr. WEO replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
George Allen was a HC, not GM. Not sure what the Reagor comment means--a dig a a bad pick? That pick really slowed them down, lol. 2020 Bills draft brought Epenesa/Moss/Davis/Fromm/Hodgins/Bass. the only "keepers" (as it were) were Epenesa and Bass. Roseman's Eagles would go to 2 SBs after that draft. The Bills would be bounced by the Chiefs 4 of the next 5 years..... Drafts are generally very poor forms of prediction, thanks for confirming my point. I don't know who the Philly podcaster would be or if Roseman even talks to such. The Beane interview was with Rich Eisen, not some local yokels, questioning Beane. I thought Allen was a risky pick because he didn't play much high level college ball. He was raw and seemed pretty poorly coached at Wyoming. Lots of bad habit left uncorrected. I liked him better than the predictable disaster that was Manuel a few years before. -
I don't know why you think this. If Bowers played in Buffalo he would walk in the door as the team's best receiver. Josh would use him to the point of taking reception numbers away from out wideouts. I can't even imagine the TD numbers that Bowers would put up with Josh Allen as his QB. I do see your point that comparing Kincaid to Bowers is not fair, in that Bowers has the potential to be as good as or better than Kelce, or even Gronk. Don't you think that Josh would be tossing Bowers TDs almost at will, to the point that the numbers of every other receiver would decrease? I think that a healthy combination of Josh and Bowers would be unstoppable and make the Bills Super Bowl winners. Of course this is jmo.

Derek Carr, possibly out for 2025
Captain Hindsight replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
They are going to suck with or without cousins. Save the draft capital and don’t bail out a division rival on a bad contract -
Let the disappointment in Dallas begin early!

So, the Presidents you originally listed (Obama, Bush, Biden) bypassed the democratic process previously? So, it’s primarily the number and the agenda this time? I don’t disagree with you, but we deal with what’s in front of us. This is the way government works, and it seems unreasonable to complain primarily when your guy isn’t in office. That’s the standard these days, and when it’s brought up, the fallback position is “Whatboutism”. I see that as fact avoidance, because how it works in practice is pretty important when considering what things might look like in the future.

I have an EGO 21" mower with self propelled system. Much needed on the sloping lawn here in WV. On many occasions the mower will stop for an over heating issue with the battery and I have to remove, then re-insert the battery. The battery mowers are light and that is a plus. As is the lack of noise. The battery life and the high price of a replacement battery are big minuses in my opinion But if your lawn is small and flat, I'd go with the reel style mower.
