For a December move, you can’t ask for a better add. I think it’s a great move
-
I totally agree, he is an amazing coach.

I'm getting a different result with the NYT playoff simulator through the Athletic. If we beat Browns and Jets and lose the other 3 games, they have us 75% to make the playoffs. Add any other win and it shows >99%. So to guarantee ourselves a spot we need to handle our business against the two clearly inferior opponents left on our schedule, and beat 1 of Bengals, Pats, or Eagles. Ideally we'll beat 2 of them and then can rest starters against the Jets.
-
If the Steelers move on from Tomlin I don't think he'd be in the class of ex-coaches who have to settle for a coordinator position.
-
I think the team was really high on slay and they were really keen on the fact he was playing out of position or being asked to do things he wasn't necessarily great at. I think they might think he's an exceptional scheme fit.

I leaned more that Pitt was going to be a physical game with a heavy lean in the running game so they were smart to limit Hsirston’s exposure.

I wish we could trade for their OC, straight up.

You’re missing the point. It isn’t about who he drafted but the position. There is nothing wrong with Kincaid’s potential or ability, despite injuries. However, having already allocated so many future cap dollars to the TE position, taking another TE there was always going to be the wrong call…especially since it’s a position that regularly splits snaps. If you really want a name (which is obviously ridiculous), using unfair hindsight, he should have invested in the WR position before the run happened. This would have meant moving from 27 to 19 overall to beat the run, and take JSN. This would have likely cost a 3rd and a 5th (Dorian Williams and Justin Shorter, respectively). Again, to me it is less about picking the wrong player and more about choosing to invest irrationally in a position. -
Could do worse this late in the year. I’d prefer the try to add at pass rusher with the anemic rush we’ve had. Maybe coax someone out of retirement or something. Though, I realize that’s pretty unlikely and difficult to do.

Yeah that's pretty much what it comes down to. The NFL is too big for Ingram. Slay may be way past his prime but he's an improvement. Nothing to complain about with this move. He costs $350K against our cap and upgrades the depth, even if only slightly.
-
He's coordinated a defense ONE season...20 years ago. And then double down with Daboll? This HAS to be satire.
-
Colts definitely will make it in and i want them in because they are very beatable. Their strong start will propel them into the postseason. They just need to go 3-2 (and outside shot of 2-3 will have them at 10 wins.)

Who will be caught first? DNC pipe bomber or those dastardly Qanon folks.....

Gotta admit I didn’t see this coming. Be interesting to see how quickly can integrate him.

similar story but a few years earlier. my starter home was 80k in rural MI. my wife loved a mid century modern that was 120k but we couldn't afford it. Those houses are worth multiples of that now. I was about 100k in debt from school. Paid it off as fast as possible. But if I were to do it all over again, in this economy, I'd likely choose a different path. Many are.

Are people really bent out of shape replacing Ingram with Slay? With our playoff history? Seriously? My god
-
They have to get themselves in tip top shape for the offseason.
