  1. Past hour
  2. This never gets old. From mocking laughter to 24/7 RAGE.
  3. 👍🏼
  4. It’s a rumor he worked for an NGO in the Congo in support of African Migrants? It’s a rumor he and he wife have connections to Tim Walz? I guess I should just go by “roommate” from papa John’s that was allowed to have a press gaggle with his phone and was all over the place with his assigned story - and don’t show us the texts. Let’s just believe that guy.
  5. He also seems to have accepted that the criticism was warranted. I give him real credit for that. Genuinely I do. As someone who isn't the biggest fan of his game I think his presser was really impressive. He did indeed put some trash on tape in 2024. It wasn't all trash. It was interspersed with some good. But impressive for a young kid to hold himself to account the way he did.
  6. The correct response would be this: Sorry, guys, I got caught up in some wild rumors."
  7. so you're supporting paying a guy 6-8 x more than hes making right now, when he's not contributing enough to put us over the edge on a sub $3M deal? That just makes it harder to take the next step. there are 15-20 guys that could give us what James Cook is giving us. Here's good - very good even, but he isn't special. He's replaceable, and I'd sooner draft another couple guys + bring in some UDFAs and find fresh legs than pay a hefty second contract to an RB. There are far bigger priorities.
  8. He's clearly a bit of a space cadet. I like the guy and think he will be a decent WR, but it is what it is.
  9. I'm not saying he needs to match 2023 to be clear. But there is a need for some of the 2023 splash plays to make that contract worth it over the long run.
  10. There was not a whole lot of defense going on from the clip I saw. But he looked fluid and athletic.
  11. This girl actually BROUGHT THE FAKE TIME MAG COVER to her interview. And still got hired.
  12. Suffering an injury while doing a bunch of windmill dunks in a charity basketball game would be right on brand for him. They were good dunks, though, I have to admit.
  13. And she continues to double down on the lie. Shamelessness is the maga norm.
  14. No Allen and its 5-6 wins. Allen carries a much bigger burden of the offense than any QB in the league. The running alone, whether short yardage 1st downs, redzone or scrambles would be hugely missed. Then the passing game relies on Allen adjusting, keeping plays alive or making throws only he makes. The offense lives on Allen's capabilities much more than a system that can perform with anyone.
  15. Thank you for this breaking news! This changed everything!!!!
  16. Tell me when you've connected those dots 🤣 This aged well. Failed the famous Liz Truss Head of Lettuce Test. By about 2 weeks. Didn't even last 48 hours.
  17. And then throw in the best pass rusher in NFL history. Even with Mahomes lurking around, he would've taken the Bills to at least 2+ SB's surrounded by that kind of talent.
  18. Completely left out Allen’s 1800 34 TDs rushing …and a receiving TD for good measure. I can’t stand when analysts manipulate statistics like this. Absolutely insanity to even compare these 2 guys. And I am actually a Tua fan, but Josh is a first ballot HOFer if he retires at 30. Tua is a Chad Pennington clone.
  19. its something that's for sure
  20. Let me mall over this but my first reaction is tua is a lot better than giving credit for when he is healthy.
  21. It's not hard to do a WOWY ("with or without you") for QB records based on injury games/backup starting. I did it a few years ago and didn't save my results. But the common wisdom seems right. For teams with really good QBs and playoff hopes, it's usually "let's find a backup who can play roughly .500 ball while the starter is out." Of course a lot depends on the quality of the backup, but for most journeyman backups the .500 goal is reasonable. The interesting thing when I dug into this: true "replacement level QBs" aren't nearly as bad as you'd expect. You sign a guy off the street because your starter and backup are hurt. Think Thad Lewis with the Bills in the Tyrod days. Or maybe Joshua Dobbs or Josh Johnson. Those guys aren't useless - they probably win about 1/3 of their games. So that's the baseline. Which is why it amazes me when a team's QB (or QBs) are so awful that they play less than .333 ball (6-11 or so) over an extended time. Think Jets.
  22. We live in a society of impatience now. When every single piece of information is available on your phone at the touch of a button, when people get ticked if they have to sit in a Starbucks line for more than 5 minutes, and so on. So now rookies in pro sports have to be great day 1, and improve after that. This kid seeks to have taken the criticism he got to heart and worked his ass off in the off-season. Good for him.
