They just haven't looked consistent enough week to week to think they can run the table. That debacle of a Houston game still lingers..

Well I wonder if this has something to do with the hopes that he could go back to the Eagles and the Eagles told him they would claim him but the Bills beat them to the punch. If he wants to play then great, if he doesn't then just hold onto his rights.

Article in the National Review. You know, that bastion of liberal thought. Questioning the legality and constitutionality of the boat attacks. https://www-nationalreview-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.nationalreview.com/2025/12/a-fair-accounting-of-pete-hegseths-role-in-the-caribbean-boat-strike/amp/?amp_js_v=0.1&_gsa=1#webview=1&cap=swipe “No matter its ill effects here at home, cocaine trafficking is not an act of war against the United States, and it is not terrorism. Under longstanding U.S. law, it is an activity that is deterred and punished via criminal prosecution in our courts. Drug boats are appropriately interdicted by boarding them on the high seas and seizing their cargo, not via missile strikes.”

I think 11-6 is very realistic and would likely get us the 5th seed.

Big Ben on Mike Tomlin's Future in Pittsburgh
GunnerBill replied to ryguy101's topic in The Stadium Wall
8 He did have a big say in the Pickett and Rodgers decisions but in both cases he wanted them over the alternative of nothing. He wasn't Kevin Stefanski running Baker out of town because he must have Watson. Pickett was QB1 in his class now I never loved him or thought he was a first round talent but a team without a QB took a shot on the consensus QB1 at their original drsft spot without trading up. I am not killing anyone for that.... and then wanting Rodgers over Russ and Fields..... I mean that isn't a terrible call. If you want to say them having no QB since Ben is all on Tomlin it is definitely not. Their coaching remains consistently better than their talent evaluation and their Quarterbacking. I do think he might need to be encouraged to risk his no losing season record to allow a hard reset of the roster and if he was really resistant to that I would then consider firing him as an owner. But if he said, yep, I'm on board, let's accept one down year, clean up our cap and see where we land then there is no way I'd fire him. He is and remains a very fine football coach. -
Darius Slay claimed on waivers by Buffalo
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to TD716's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's just depth and another option in dime looks. Tougher corner, playoff contact type of guy who tackles. Also just a break glass in case of emergency type of dude since hairstons still working into the lineup, white has had a number of injuries, and ingram isn't good. Strong felt like the best candidate for that but he's done for the year. Take your pick of jackson, codrington, and couch - and its 3 big fat question marks. Either inexperienced, or the experience was pretty poor. -
Serious Q does Beane call him/his agent and discuss playing time, plan for him, etc? Gotta imagine we didn't sign him to the actual team to make him inactive. Which to Slay would be a good deal (playoff team, starting CB time). I gotta imagine he isnt willing to play for anyone but Philly if Beane calls with those promises and he still doesn't show. What a weird situation.

I believe there is a failed to report list he can be put on until he does. I think Dri Archer went on it when we claimed and he didnt report

I think he asked for his release the first time they made him inactive.

Darius Slay claimed on waivers by Buffalo

Pit signed Asante Samuel recently and pit liked him better I’d assume makin slay kinda the odd man out. Slay was probably a bit disgruntled with the scheme and just said screw it and wanted to get back to Philly where he’d probably start immediately in a defense he liked. -
Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Jackson* All still in the hunt this year. It kind of surprises me that a class this good is still waiting for its first SB appearance, now nearing the end of their collective 32 seasons of NFL football. For comparison, the great Class of 1983 (Elway, Kelly, Marino) saw their first SB with Marino, then a couple with Elway, then already had one with Kelly by the end of their 8th season. (Yeah, and zero wins, but still.) And that's despite Kelly losing time to the USFL. Right now I'm still sticking with Josh. I think the Bills patch it together and come back strong in the playoffs this year and the next couple years. But I can see a really good argument for any of the others too, particularly Darnold (that defense) and Lamar (those injuries won't last forever). Mayfield? I think he's a really good QB on a very average team. *Josh Rosen exempted; he joins Todd Blackledge as a footnote to NFL history.

This changes everything. Browns readying Deshaun Watson's return.

I mean, like all things pertaining to the Browns, I'm hoping the OP was meant as schadenfreude and not a serious concern... 🤷♂️ 🤔... Saquon would be tearing it up in Houston and Allen would be revitalizing his career in Tampa? -

The #1 Key To Buffalo Going On A Playoff Run
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh just had a 6 TD game without Kincaid and he did it to Tampa Bay which tells me he can most definitely do it to the lame Bengals defense. -

What's YOUR Honest Playoff Bracket?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Richard Noggin's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's going to be a tall order to get denver to 6 losses, so i think KC is wildcard bound if they make it. -
Hopefully he can tackle well, since McD’s defense forces our defensive backs to tackle runners (due to the fact our front 6 or 7 can’t stop running backs at the line of scrimmage).

I think this deserves context. Prior to the wrist injury, he was consistently getting push/pressures. If you recall, he had a forced fumble in 3 straight games. This past week, he was playing with a much smaller brace, and looked a lot better. That's what makes the hammy injury that much more annoying.
