I'm afraid I have to agree. Seems such a waste of Josh's talent, but at least for this year we are not becoming an effective downfield passing team.

Game week thread - Buccaneers at Bills
CincyBillsFan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree and I am less confident that we will go on a run then I was in 2021 & 2023 when the Bills were worse off but then went on impressive streaks to roar into the playoffs. The other more subtle issue I see is that last season was a transformational year for the offense. While much of the Brady bulldozer, run heavy, short passing game had been implemented there still were glimpses of that semi reckless, peddle to the medal, Allen wearing a cape offense that had proved so potent over the last 5 seasons. You saw it in the KC, LA Rams & Detroit games. This season we have only seen it in the 4th quarter o the Baltimore game. Not only does it look like Brady/McD don't want to shift it into overdrive unless all other options are exhausted they don't have the offensive roster to do it. -
It does but the cap increases every year. So you spread cap hits and take bigger hits in later years when there is more cap space available. For example, the cap is roughly $24M more this year than last year.

So ... the free market can create 50 year loans. There's no law against it. If the Trump Administration throws its support behind them, what does that mean? I can't think of any way that could be effective unless they use Fannie and Freddie to prop up that new market. And as I said, that creates risk to the government (read: the taxpayer).

May as well double down at this point.

Watching Keon play football has been one of my least favorite Bills memories of all time. Thats saying a lot. I cant recall another player in a prominent role where I say 1-2 times a game, "what are you doing." Maybe JP Losman.

The Bills were high bidders for Waddle, tried acquiring Williams
The Jokeman replied to babulator's topic in The Stadium Wall
and yet Adams and Pickens are playing #2 on their respective teams. Maybe they're producing so well cuz they aren't drawing team's number 1 CB. Egubka's numbers look great but remember Mike Evans and Chris Godwin have been hurt most of this season. Also what picks/players you giving up to get in position to get Egbuka? We rolled the dice on Palmer and just when it looked like we were going to use him he goes down with an injury. -

More to the point is the knee jerk reaction to bringing in WR's that no one else is looking for, assuming that might help us. Just my opinion -
This all sounds quite logical. But who knows what's going on in his personal life. Maybe his dad is dying of cancer or his gf is sleeping around. Maybe he's got mental health issues like Marshawn Kneeland. We just don't know. But regardless of the reasons behind his lack of effort, if he's not putting out, he shouldn't be on the field.

The time for debating anything is over... -
Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't restructuring, kick the can down the road and create cap issues for the following years? So that we never get a chance to catch up? Like credit card debt?

All of my animals were left up to my wife and her kids for the most part Lady Bella (Cat) - My wife Calvin (Cat) - He came to us with that name, we liked it so we kept it. Emery (Cat) - My stepdaughters named her. She was a black cat and I wanted to have some say, so her official name is Emery Cygnus. (Cygnus being a Rush reference). Emery adopted us. She showed up in our backyard right around Thanksgiving time, so there were no names to go off of. Chloe (Cat) - When we adopted her, her name was Punkin. That name didn't thrill us, so the wife and kids came up with Chloe. They always think that part of their original name should be kept, so her official name is Chloe Punkin. Riley (Dog). When he adopted him his name was Recon. That didn't fly, so my wife and step daughter was Googling names that go with Recon on the way home from picking him up. Riley was a common result, so we went with Riley. For a middle name, my step daughter did more Googling, and Cooper came up. My wife liked it, so his name is Riley Cooper. I had to tell my sporting friends he was not named after an Eagles WR. Millie and Maggie (Cats) - That was their names when we adopted them. My wife thought they went well together, so we kept them.

Were We Running Into a Stacked Box?

The passing offense had the same issue when Dorsey was OC, especially in year 2. -
Off the top of my head Devante Adams comes to mind as does George Pickens. While on some teams either guy might not be a true #1 on the Bills they absolutely would have been. And if you couldn't pull that off Bean could have gone after a CB in FA and moved up in the draft to grab a #1 WR. Egbuka, who Tampa took at #19 would have fit the bill. Sure these moves all would have been crap shoots. But with Allen at the peak of his career it seems that WR is exactly where you roll the dice.

The offense better not turn the ball over 3 times either but I know we should only focus on a "bad defense". -
Do you think the Chiefs would beat the Patriots as a 7th seed?
Sojourner replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Heard that after they whooped the Panthers. Then after the beat us. Then heard they were going to show their true colors against Cleveland who have/had one of the best defenses in the league. Theyre 6-0 since all this “fairytale” talk about them started. They are a good team. It sucks to admit it but it’s true. -
Don't forget the Ronnie Harmon drop against the Browns. Could have been 5 straight AFCCG for us
