Josh has admitted that he gets too “hyped up” at the start of big games. That’s not a “didn’t work hard enough” or “doesn’t care enough” issue…if anything it’s the opposite. I just think the amount of supposition and guesswork in this discussion is nauseating. There are SO MANY factors that have to fall into place to win a Super Bowl. Just think of all of the “lucky” breaks Brady and Mahomes have gotten along the way that Josh hasn’t. Josh is one of the best playoff QBs in NFL history. I don’t care that the last two seasons the offense didn’t get it done at the end; they missed a FG and Kincaid dropped a catchable ball. KC ran a blitz look they hadn’t shown all night on the last play — is that because Josh didn’t work hard enough? Good grief. I really don’t care whether Josh watches more film than anyone in the NFL. He obviously takes care of himself and has worked his a$$ off to transform his game year after year. The “Mahomes wants it more” takes are ridiculous.

Yes, I have been to Denmark, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia in the non English part of Europe and the vast majority speak English, enough so that I rarely needed to translate anything. While it is definitely a crowded room I think he has a shot. All UDFAs face an uphill battle to make rosters but there is only Rapp and Bishop of all the safeties the Bills have that I think are roster LOCKS. There is a lot of traffic between Owens and one of those other spots and the odds are against him, but he has a chance.

I don't see Owens having much of a shot. The problem with Safety isn't Depth. Which is usually what a UDFA makes it on. It's lack of studs at the top. There's hope Bishop can be one of those guys for us and we'll see. But between all of the depth chart from last year returning in Taylor Rapp, Cole Bishop, Damar Hamlin, and Cam Lewis (Backup Nickel and Safety) plus the additions of Derrick Forrest and Jordan Hancock (Backup Nickel and Safety) - we're already going to be cutting a couple from that list alone. Owens would essentially have to beat out 3 of those players above to make it as the last Safety.

I'd be more with you if it wasn't $12m guaranteed for a one year deal spread over two years with $7.2m in dead cap in 2026. I just wish it was a clean one year deal but I get why they did it. But even with that, tend to think there’ll few surprises when it gets down to the Final Four most seasons. I hope it doesn’t go to 16.
