UPDATE 2025 - The Trump economy
Niagara Bill replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Then Belarus let 126 prisoners go, friends of Putin... You don't have the guts to speak the real truth. You may end up on a list... You don't screw your neighbours and friends for the crook across the globe. Or should I say only maga wackos approve of this *****. You are being manipulated so trump and his buddies will own you...bend over Tomorrow he will lie about this and you will eat it up. Sleep well. -

lol. You're probably the least interesting person at cocktail parties.

Pats fans really are pretty annoying, for the most part. For the better part of a couple of decades, we heard "this was their Super Bowl" if a team beat them, and "ho, hum - the season doesn't start until January." Meanwhile, they went bananas after their OCTOBER win against us. And I don't believe at all it will happen - but if they beat us tomorrow, watch the reaction.

Ever seen some of the pictures of the old time Hockey Goalies, Gump Worsley, Jacques Plante, Terry Sawchuk [400 stitches to his face] before masks were mandatory. Their faces look like jigsaw puzzles.

Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Are the patriots still trending by most metrics as one of the worst 11-2 teams of all time? -
We got the luck we needed earlier that day or it would have been a lose and out of playoffs situation. But it was still a game for the division title. Crazy how tight things were that year in the standings. We went into that weekend with a chance for the 2 seed with a win or missing the playoffs entirely with a loss.
-
That changed the game. It was a nice throw by Jones, and would have tied it up. I was thinking while it was in the air that it would be back & forth all day. Then Hyde made a great play, & we were off & running. That game was pure catharsis for me after all of those years of the Pats dominating. If that's all I get in this sports fandom life - well, that'll just be okay.

NewEra, man, I know we always say it…but they have to score a lot of points tomorrow. This isn’t “ball control, keep it away from Maye, smart decisions, blah-blah-blah.” We need Bucs like and Bengals like 35 point efforts or so, which is made even harder on the road. Go Bills. -

5 of my 6 kids are still school age. I didn't realize there was sound during any sports game. I thought only Bluey, and Disney Plus came with sound.

I’m surprised you own a car

Blizzard Brew, made with snow from Highmark Stadium?
Sierra Foothills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Does this mean that when they open the new Highmark Stadium, we can look forward to beer brewed from the water taken from "The Pit?" -
Here's the other issue: the best roster doesn't always win. There's bounces, bad calls, 50/50 plays that in a single elimination tournament can swing the whole thing. Plus we've got homemade pizza nights, bippity bippity bop, Hallmark movies, new stadium, now babies... Yeah, it's a wrap NFL. Most will be happy for us though this first time anyway. The other SBs we'll have become annoying but whatever!

Why would we want to stoop that low? No, it's better that we continue to be the adults in the room, not the juvenile delinquents.
