Will Josh Allen want to stick around for a rebuild?
MJS replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh Allen and the players don't view it the way fans do. He feels just as responsible as anyone for losses, if not more so. He has been around sports enough to know that you win some and you lose some. Not to mention that Keon Coleman was hand picked by Allen! So was Ken Dorsey, and Allen has been a staunch supporter of Joe Brady as well. So, why would Allen feel any kind of animosity toward the organization that has given him everything he wants, including getting rid of Diggs and taking on 30 million in dead cap, because his relationship soured on with him and Diggs became a nagging distraction? Josh Allen has nothing but love for Buffalo, the organization, Beane, and McDermott. Players almost universally support their coaches. -
Will Josh Allen want to stick around for a rebuild?

This is a fair discussion topic. I hope Allen stays and the Bills do not have to engage in a compete rebuild. A reloading even if it meant changes at HC & GM could work for all involved. At the same time it would be a real shame if Allen never got a chance to play in and win a Super Bowl. Marino at least got to play in a Super Bowl. The rest of this season will have a huge impact on whether Allen is still a Buffalo Bill when he turns 33. If the Bills can rebound and go on a run and make it to the divisional round or better yet the AFC Championship game then a re-load would likely work without changing the HC & GM. On the other hand if the Bills implode and a rebuild is needed and Pegula doesn't change the HC & GM then Allen would be wise to start making plans for his departure this off season. -
I dunno - watching the video of each sack at least it looked like no one was open...at all. Coulda thrown it away I guess but a bunch were 3rd down scenarios too.

I blame them all. If I were Pegs, though, I wouldn't fire anyone. I would sit down with Beane and McD at the end of the season and ask them what they'll do to make next season better. Hoping for fewer injuries, needless to say, wouldn't be an acceptable answer. I'd need Beane to tell me - at a minimum - that he's going to plus-up the scouting department and/or modify how they evaluate players so we don't have any more Elams and Colemans. I'd need McD to tell me - at a minimum - that we're going to hire a passing game coordinator who'll help revitalize our stagnant, simplistic downfield passing game. Only if I didn't get those answers would I consider firing anyone.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
DJB replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s a combo of both. I can admit that Brady is a pretty good run coordinator but his passing concepts are brutal. Add in the worst WR group in the NFL and it’s a recipe for disaster -

I'm still arguing that Brady makes it much harder on this offense than it needs to be with his overuse of Mesh in high leverage situations and inability to scheme up proper passing concepts that lead to space for players. These WRs might not be great in terms of overall ability, but they are certainly better than what Brady has made them look. -
Hunter appropriate name. huge kudos to him. Really, when you think of dudes like Wilkerson. It’s nice to see some humanity in a brutal job.

Even they know the NFL is better with Allen in it

Then I guess you've never watched: Vontaze Burfict Albert Haynesworth Rodney Harrison Vince Wilfork Ndamukong Suh Bill Romanowski They would've ended Allen and celebrated.

Will Josh Allen want to stick around for a rebuild?

I think about if they start having kids, too. Josh is very family oriented and will probably want to be around family for that. Alot can change when it comes to women and children. But on the other side of the coin, Josh is a competitor like we've never seen before. He's loyal like a golden retriever and I could also see him making it a point to never leave Buffalo because he started here and has always said he wasnt leaving. It's an interesting thing to consider. Things can change, man. There's alot of ins and outs and what have you. -

Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play
CincyBillsFan replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was referring to how Stafford left an organization that could not and/or would not build a roster that could win a Super Bowl to one in LA that could. I see this as a very possible future for Allen if the Bills can't get their act together over the next couple of seasons. I hope I'm wrong. -
We’ve seen plenty of players hold on and alligator roll in that situation.
-
He switched his grip to get a better hold on Allen to actually bring him down.

Silver linings: Baltimore very well might miss the playoffs. Everybody is assuming they will catch the Steelers, but I think the Ravens have looked pretty bad even in their wins. KC is in real trouble for missing the playoffs. If they lose this weekend to the Colts I would argue they are done. AFC feels wide open. Is anybody really afraid of Daniel Jones or Trevor Lawrence in the playoffs? Pats schedule has been baby soft, and nobody will be surprised if they get bounced in the first round. Bills path in the playoffs might not be as tough as you think. I just did a full ESPN playoff simulator and this is what I got for the Bills (5th seed): Wild Card at Pittsburgh Divisional home game against Chargers (I had the Chargers as the 6th seed and upsetting the Broncos, I had KC as the 7th seed and upsetting the Pats) AFCCG at Indy That playoff seems totally doable to get to the Super Bowl, and it even has a home playoff game.

No matter who was calling the plays in the Texans game you can't get much production from who ever when your constantly running of your life and not taking what the opposition is giving you . Just like other games Josh had some players wide open at times and didn't take them for what ever the reason, when ever there is that much pressure Josh try's to get more than just what he needs to keep a drive alive there were times when Knox, Cook ad quite possibly some others were open and Josh wanted to make a bigger play but given the circumstances he needs to take what's right in front of him .
