  1. Past hour
  2. There's a bunch of things unfortunately. First is that the Ravens intrinsically play a style that's a natural counter to McDermott's defense. Our philosophy is aggressive single gapping up front and playing zone, where the idea is that the priority is to shut down the pass first. Runs are stopped by rolling the dice and stopping plays in the backfield until game script & Josh Allen can build a lead and make them pass. Lamar & Henry are so dangerous on the read option that our aggression works against us. If you add a spy that's one less person getting pressure or in coverage and if you sell out to stop the run Lamar is good enough to beat you in the air. There are multiple things that made it worse: -Lamar & Henry rested and motivated -Ojenjobi and Hoecht suspended -Our rookie D-line players needing time to develop -Injuries to Hairston and Tre pushing a 6th round rookie (Strong) into the role Those things could get better over the season but we don't know yet
  3. You really think Williams is a goner by year 3 as a starter?
  4. Yes. Whenever I click a link someone posts here to another fan forum for another team, I always regret it. Are there any other good ones out there for other NFL teams, or is this the only one?
  5. From who? The guy that runs his website (him) LOL. McD took the classy road in doing that follow up meeting with him last year. Because coach is class. Other than that. There's not a real front office that'd give him any access (which is where his Bills beef was born out of). So having no sources inside a front office, hes limited to sources grapes guys out of the league... who also get to hide behind anonymity, while clearly having something to gain by doing so (trying to clear up their reputation- again - anonymously).
  6. I'd be interested to know your opinion on this TD run: Looks like someone totally misplayed their responsibility here. Rapp immediately puts his back to the play side anticipating a crosser, which takes him out of the play. Bernard is penetrating upfield and gets taken out of the play. Looks like Benford is going to play edge contain while Dorian Williams already has the edge. It's not immediately obvious to me who screwed up here but clearly someone was supposed to take that truck-sized gap that any RB in the league could have coasted through. The coaches need to get this stuff straightened out, and fast. The Jets are going to see this on tape and lick their chops. This is not a play where our guys got beat 1v1 and I suspect this sort of mistake was the bigger issue on Sunday than everybody losing their matchups.
  7. I look forward to some All 22 analysis, but just watching the game you can see the big issue was execution, particularly with our back seven, particularly by Dorian Williams. He continues to play undisciplined instead of sticking to his fits. Ton of athletic ability, but he tends to overrun plays and bites on fakes too easily.
  8. Definitely both. Babich sucks and the personnel we currently have doesn't seem to mesh with whatever the hell defense he is implementing. Hopefully they clean it up quickly. Not saying Justin Fields is Lamar Jackson, but he plays a similar game and Breece Hall put up good numbers against a decent Steelers defense.
  9. Actually. Others had. Not sure why I felt had to defend myself… 😎
  10. Nobody should be presenting the "other side" as a sole source, unless you're explicitly pointing out how the opinions are split. "Out of 34 sources a handful had this strong opinion" or "nearly all of the sources had this to say." Its lying by omission and intentionally misleading. This could've been 4 people out of 34. Or it could've been 32 of 34... but we'll never know... but you can be sure, if his opinion was the prevailing feeling of the majority of voices he heard, he certainly would've made that clear. THEN you'd have an article. Anybody defending this, sees him at holiday dinners lol
  11. My rule has always been anything more than 8 point deficit with less than 6 minutes to go and the opponent has the ball, I'm out. Getting out of the Bills lot at the end of a game adds 2 hours and a night game on a school night is brutal. Would I have stayed if I had known the outcome? Absolutely, but to sit there down by 15 with 5 minutes to go was not exactly something I was willing to roll the dice on for a Sunday night. Fortunately we made it home to watch the final drive, and I recorded that moment, so not all was lost for a memory. Now if I had left the Oiler comeback game early, THAT would still bother me 😛
  12. I'm just happy to still have a forum based community in 2025 over the social media based cesspools of facebook and twixter. This feels more like having discussions with friends and family as opposed to walking into a bus terminal and shouting with a bunch of randoms.
  13. I debated between Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charms that morning. I bet you can guess which cereal I picked. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.
  14. The Lamar injury was kinda a long term gift for their front office tbh.. it cost them a year of being very competitive (in a year the chiefs were at max offensive power) but no way they get Kyle Hamilton for 4 years on a rookie deal without that injury.. if Lamar doesn’t get hurt that year they probably go 12-5 and get the 1 seed
  15. Phenomenal (reliable) work here by Axios. JANUARY : Although Charlotte is often lauded for offering a magnetic quality of life, as it grows, so does its crime rate. Homicides last year were again in the triple digits — the highest since the shocking year of 2020. YESTERDAY: The video is easily shared or leaked, and can instantly pollinate across social media — a visual counterpoint to statistics showing crime decreases.
  16. Yes, that’s exactly what NYC needs, more criminals on the streets.
  17. I bought stuff from that vendor back in the day.
  18. The containment of Henry I thought was deplorable. They've done better in past games. Lots of football left, but if they don't tighten up the D, the Bills will lose a game or 2 they absolutely shouldn't.
  19. Lots of factors. 1. Henry never got going in the playoff game and the ravens got behind. Game script was advantage bills. Once Henry has a couple big runs it gets harder. 2. Lots of new people on this defense and it was game one. Ogunjobi, Hoecht Hairston and White were not available. 3. The ravens have one of the best offenses ever assembled where the addition of Henry to what Lamar does is lethal. Their EPA/ DVOA. numbers are historic 4. Zay flowers did not play in the playoffs 5. We won anyways!
  20. Setting aside player vs. player comps, the Ravens O can score at will on the Bills D. 3 games in a row they could run on us like a high school team and have WRs running wide open through our secondary. Turnovers were our savior in Jan but that’s not reliable. The rookies, Bishop and PED guys will have to level up the D big time. Can the Bills O continuously score 30-40 on the Ravens? It looks hard and there’s no margin for error. Brady’s short yardage package has been figured out. The Chiefs stuffed or nearly stuffed us all game in Jan. The Ravens stuffed or nearly stuffed us all Sunday. Can’t lose situational football and win the big games.
  21. That was a great block. Reminded me of the time Gronk drove one our DBs into the cheap seats.
  22. Guys! We're crowdfunding an app! We're gonna be rich!
