  1. Past hour
  2. Sure, after the picks are made and we've seen what they turn into - that's something that's really easy to say. Hindsight is always 20/20. But the flip side of that is 99% of the best players in the NFL were once "overvalued" Draft Picks. We've traded two 1st Round Picks under Brandon Beane. The first one was used by the Chiefs to select Patrick Mahomes. The second one was used by the Vikings to select Justin Jefferson. That's not to say there isn't times where it's better to move picks for sure things. But there's a lot of reasons GM's value picks as they do - without taking into account 4-5 years of a cost controlled contract.
  3. We are in agreement here! Time will tell.
  4. Nick Wright will never shut up. I want the Colts to trash KC, but I’ll take a 1 point Colts win.
  5. It’s really the coaches that have no idea what to do with wide receivers. All the wide receivers on this staff have had better years elsewhere (besides rookies and only played here). Also beane isn’t great
  6. Beane sucks at drafting.
  7. such as hurtis samuel and kincaid playing every third game?
  8. This has been a more consistent issue of late and that's often because of preparation. Is he unprepared because of him or are the people in charge of getting him prepared doing a poor job of preparing him? I don't know the answer to that question. I do know they and he looked really good against Kansas City in ways that they and he often haven't looked against other, often lesser, competition. And yet, if they'd handed Thomas the ball more than 15 times they'd have probably won that game. He was killing them. 9 yards per carry.
  9. Beane screwed up the wr position so bad that we are thinking about a shot Cooks, last year it was claypooll..what’s worse he spends so little early day draft resources on the position. Unacceptable.
  10. Here’s how that happens: #1 Broncos #2 Patriots #3 Ravens #4 Colts #5 Bills #6 Chiefs #7 Chargers/Jaguars/Texans/Steelers
  11. Is it beane or the scouts that make these selections because he clearly doesn't know what a real NFL WR looks like.
  12. Are they aware that the game is 3 periods long? It's our fault that we boo though.
  13. Got demolished by the cellar-dwelling Flames, who had to travel for an east coast road trip, and who also played last night. This game was setup on a tee to build a lot of goodwill from the fans.
  14. And with a short week, no need to force the issue now. I don't think Coleman is done yet, too much draft capital in him. But he needs to get better in all respects fairly quickly, especially his work ethic.
  15. It depends. How does one do against the other? That was the point of my post. If the line can't open holes and Josh is under a lot of pressure against a really good front then that probably means our line isn't of the same caliber. This is the sort of game that if you actually have a top notch line you need them to show it. They didn't run well last week but they pass blocked pretty well after the first two series. Against Miami they didn't have great success running and Allen was sacked 3 times and hit 7 more times. Against Atlanta Cook ran for 4, 2, 2, 0, 2, 6, 14, 2, 8, 7, 3, 12, 7, 9, 1, 6, 0, 4 and Allen was sacked 4 times and hit 6 more times. Lots of failed runs with a couple long ones to make the average look better but they struggled to move the ball that night. They also struggled to move the ball against New England with a lot of short runs and a bunch of hits on Allen. The way people talk about the line sometimes you'd think they were the mid 90's Cowboys. Sure, they've dominated some teams and ran over Carolina, etc. but they've not been very good several other times this season. Maybe I'm a strict grader but for me to consider a line to be that top notch level they are more consistent than that. If they can't open holes or block for Allen this week I don't really want hear "Gee whiz, Beav. Houston has a really strong defense." it just give more evidence to them being overrated.
  16. That was the Giants' gameplan in our first SB loss.
  17. This is why I’m all for trading picks for proven players whenever the opportunity presents itself. GMs over value draft picks. I mean the Steelers dealt Pickens for what a 3? He certainly looks better than anybody on that list, by a mile. Unfortunately Beane is just one of those GMs who overvalues draft picks…
  18. Cover 1 has a good source on the inside. I assume it’s Keon.
  19. He’s the father on South Park. Have to give some love to one of the original funny men, Ed Norton on the Honeymooners.
  20. There has to be something here. I mean you draft a guy and never play him (Elam) then you draft a guy and over-play him at a position he’s not suited for (Coleman) this is purely competitive ego (as stated by others). McDermott is McDermott, he’s a c word in my opinion. He’s too clever for his own good and misses the big picture frequently. If not for josh Allen he’s probably coaching a top 12 defense somewhere.
  21. Benching a 2nd round pick for repeatedly exhibiting bad football character does NOT reflect poorly on anyone but Keon Coleman. Sure, the very high day two pick appears to have been spent on an immature player who isn't taking his job seriously enough. But the draft is in the past. This is the present, and the kid needs a wakeup call and/or to simply step aside for guys who ARE putting in the work and seeing the results. Simple as that. I commend McD for holding Coleman accountable.
  22. I think they aren't done with him quite yet, and financially it makes no sense to cut him. That leaves a trade, and then they gotta figure out is it better to cut and run or help the kid try and get better, mature and improve. Honestly we don't know what it's been like behind the scenes, and we won't know if this message being sent will work OBD will though, so whichever way they go, I gotta be aware they see him everyday. I'm gonna guess, how he responds will tell OBD what to do. So the book isn't written just yet Brother Nero is that you?
  23. Where have all the flowers gone? Long time passing. Where have all the flowers gone? Long time ago. Where have all the flowers gone? The girls have picked them every one. Oh, When will you ever learn? Oh, When will you ever learn?
