  1. Past hour
  2. Quoth the Ravens, nevermore will we have injuries.
  3. They need to figure out how to run on a stingy defense that knows its coming. Rush isn't a bad backup with a week of prep - his teams are 9-5 when he starts. He takes care of the ball, and doesn't take a lot of sacks.
  4. Quick, send troops into Chicago!
  5. There always a thread.
  6. Interesting conversation about Landon Jackson. I never watched him in college. But I heard good things when we drafted him. And living in the South I have seen a lot of SEC football over the past 3 decades, so I was pretty excited when we drafted him. That being said, he looked lost in the preseason. And to not dress when you have Epenesa Salomon and Rousseau in front of you-(none are making a lot of plays so far or are super dynamic players) is a bit concerning. I expect Hoecht to replace Salomon. And barring injury, he could sit the entire season. We need more from our D line from someplace. And it needs to start this Sunday against a good ascending Patriots team.
  7. That picture is almost 10 years old. Don’t you have new material?
  8. Is that what happened to you?
  9. Wow, the winning is so over the top.
  10. A lot of yall have been out of school for too long to recognize that this kind of lecture is what good teaching is all about. This is probably an undergrad class that's not filled with Econ majors. He's taking an abstract concept and putting in terms that a lot of students will have had real world experience with, trying to watch their favorite team. That kind of teaching sticks in your head a lot better than just dryly reading out of a textbook.
  11. It seems like every other play the back 7 is pointing and screaming and running around like they are shocked at seeing 12 personnel with a man in motion for the first time.
  12. In Polish, W's are pronounced like V's. Had an insurance agent with the last name Wlos. It was pronounced Vos.
  13. Yep I don't deal with stupid or lazy people that always have a BS excuse very well, can you guess which ones you are ???
  14. I watched that show Mind Hunters on Netflix which was really excellent, about serial killers and FBI. But like a lot of stuff out now it all seems thrown together last minute stuff. There are so many actors, producers, etc. out there trying to get stuff on the air that it seems like they just patch stuff together helter skelter and hope it works and when it does they scramble to keep it going before moving on to the next project.
  15. Life has its challenges sometimes...
  16. Sort of - as a cleveland guardians fan, prior to last year i couldn't watch their games unless i had some bally sports package that was 49 dollars a month including a number of channels i didn't want. After the bankruptcy, they wanted 29.99 per month for their games and their league wide package would have blacked-out guardians games.
  17. No idea how widespread it is, but there are enough clusters of issues relative to parents rights, locker room issues, and for that matter sexual abuse at schools that are worthy of discussion. “Massive movement”, no, I would agree with you. However, I do believe that parents have a right to speak up, voice their concerns where they feel it’s necessary. Quite a few years ago, I was speaking with the friend of a friend, an acknowledged liberal who was also a Pats fan. He was employed as a school counselor and spoke about some of the initiatives he was spearheading. I can summarize by saying he put lots of emphasis on toxic masculinity, how every male needed to be held to account, that sort of thing. I thought he was a bit nuts, and he went on to share the abuse his father heaped upon his mother and how it impacted him. Well, I get that and have sympathy for his experience, running a program hanging guilt on a generation of students was not the answer. It wasn’t all that much later the #blamehim movement became a national movement. So, imo, push back on things that bother you, even if it might not bother someone else. Oh, and on your thoughts regarding raising strong children to be strong adults, I always encouraged my children to view agendas, consider the narratives and decide the impact on their lives. Part of that was encouraging them to push back on my narratives, shaped and formed by my experiences.
  18. Good article about Hawes I. Tha Athletic. ”This isn’t to say that Hawes will make Knox and Kincaid obsolete on offense in 2025, or maybe even 2026. The Bills will continue to use all three through a game because, to this point, it’s one of their most significant advantages over defenses in 2025. But it’s fair to wonder if Hawes, should this strong play continue, is the future of the tight end position in Buffalo past 2025. He is a potential high-percentage snap tight end within the next three years, given his effectiveness in both phases of the game and the advantage he potentially gives them. He’s already their best blocking tight end, and it isn’t close. He can go toe to toe with any positional player and win the rep, whether it’s a defensive end, linebacker or safety. He has shown he can be a plus in the passing game, converting all four targets for a reception, two of which went for over ten yards.”
