All I know is whoever it was, was probably immediately signed, there was just something Andy liked about the guy.

They can't "claim" him for their PS. If they claim him off waivers he must go on the 53. Another team can try and sign him once he clears waivers, and sure, he could decide to go there. But generally the advantage there is with the club they are at. If the Bills wanted him on their PS they likely get him.

This whole paint the fence black thing has kept me laughing for 2 days so far. Trump says it will be hotter and harder go climb if painted black as opposed to the Dark brown it is now. I can't imagine it could make that much difference. Dark brown doesn't absorb much more light than black. If there's someone that has proof it's a noticeable difference I'll hear it. But my favorite part exemplifies the circus like shenanigans of this administration. President Trump thinks this up this really good ida and decides to do it. So instead of just calling the people in Texas and telling them to paint it they have to put on a big show. Send Christi Norm and her entrouge there. Set up a podium. She makes a 15 minute speech mostly smooching up on President Trump's rear end and then picks up a roller and starts painting. 😆 This is almost as great a photo as Presidential candidate dishing out pancakes in Iowa. What a circus. How much is this going to cost?

The problem with that is what do you think the odds are that we'd pay Rousseau 80m with 54m guaranteed on one side AND pay the insane cost that an "elite guy" would cost on the other side - while also paying a top QB contract? To me, that's *incredibly* unlikely. This is why we took a chance on Joey Bosa on an injury prone discounted rate, signed Michael Hoecht, and Drafted Landon Jackson. With what we're paying Rousseau (on top of everything else), we need to hit on a cheaper option on the other side. Which is why I imagine this scenario has Rousseau involved in a Trade Offer for Hendrickson. We're scraping pennies together right now after all the deals we did. We're dead last on cap space and it's not looking good in future years, again, bc of all the deals and extensions we did. To fit a guy like Hendrickson on and pay him what he wants, we'd need to unload a big contract like Rousseau's. This is why I was out on extending Rousseau. If we need an Elite guy opposite Rousseau for him to be effective, why spend 20m a year on him? If he's something we absolutely needed back, why are we every year saying "we need a pass rush" and yearning for guys like Hendrickson? All that said though, I agree with you. I'm not giving up Rousseau and a 1st Round Pick for Trey Hendrickson. He's very good. But I don't think he's worth all of that. I'll take my chances on Bosa this year and Hoecht and Jackson in future years to be the answer. And bc of our Cap situation and all the deals we did, we're really going to need to rely on the Draft in the next couple years. We can't afford to give up 1st Round Picks, imo.

I mean that’s kind of dirty pool, right? We went defense heavy in the draft, I thought, because we really need a defensive impact NOW. We drafted Coleman and Bishop because we had massive holes at WR and S NOW, and needed them to contribute, right? But you also say, we need to be patient with these rookies. So are we expecting not much improvement in the defense from the 2025 rookie class? If the defense is the near worst in the league in 3rd down % again, and generally mediocre in most stats, will we need another entire rookie class to start to contribute maybe in 2028?

You are still missing that the Chiefs have targeted the WR position much more than the Bills in the draft. The Bills choose to try, and sometimes fail, drafting defensive positions as a priority. And when they fail, instead of chasing WRs, they go first round CB, again. That’s a clear underprioritization of WR. You are also missing that Josh Allen had pretty small cap hits for the past 5 years. Heck, our GM felt very comfortable paying Diggs massive through 2026 with his extension that we ate a ton of dead money to get out of. Now, it’s a money issue? I don’t buy it.

We also traded the Worthy pick to them. NE traded Bledsoe to us. Jax traded Johnson to us, etc. Void deals. See the video I posted. They have the most money locked up in the league, but they use the cap the most aggressively. -
You tell me? I will not say a negative thing about McD or Beane for the rest of the season? I already have a fairly decent size wager on it and I hate betting against this team. The money is just too easy in this spot. The data clearly shows who outplayed who last year, rubber match, with the motivational edge toward Baltimore. This, on top of our normal injury issues. Easiest bet I have ever made as much as I hate it.

They do almost exactly but we do but don’t import the 3rd world to take domestic jobs and leech off the safety nets Trump supports: From your own link: By providing a social safety net, these countries enable their population to adapt and thrive amid economic changes brought on by globalization. Despite the advantages of the Nordic model, it faces challenges such as an aging population, competition from globalization, and potential disincentives to work. -
Its just his sons that make the drama you speak of. He sold his soul to the NFL, so was an absent father, so he raised some rich kids without a father to really guide them. That's how I see it.

Paging Draftniks: Bills sign LSU CB Zy Alexander (and some other dudes)
MJS replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Levi Wallace was picked on a lot because Tre White was a lock down corner that offenses avoided. That is always a really tough position to be in because you get game planned against heavily and heavily targeted. So, that is part of it. That will be the case for Tre White this year because offenses avoid Benford now. Wallace was definately a replaceable player. He did sign a decent contract to go start for Seattle, though. I think the league viewed him as a low level starter. Now he is viewed as a depth player. A lot of players who leave Buffalo seem to play worse wherever they go, with a few exceptions. -
"Why don't we have any Year 1 Superstars with our highest pick being 33rd overall?!"

I think the playoff game was 425 like 250. We will lose week one. More likely than not we will be blown out. The forum will explode in negativity. By the time we play KC we will be 6-1 and people like yourself will be back on the Super Bowl bandwagon. They will be saying things like week 1 doesn’t matter. Heck, we probably even beat the Chiefs to go 7-1. Then the forum will be erupting in Super Bowl projections. This team has regressed or is equal in weakness in multiple positions since last year. The defense will be a catastrophic failure when it matters most. Why wouldn’t they be? It’s the same players outside of some hope a bunch of rookies and injured players change the narrative. I imagine at some point injuries will be blamed because that what we do. Same story coming as the one you already know. Feel free to bump this post as much as you want next year. Just make sure not to forget the bump when the seasons over.

Because of injury. That is when depth players generally play. Cole Bishop was injured and then got behind the curve. But he was actually a good tackler and not as bad as everyone made him out to be. You don't want him to start, but he gives you a decent baseline if he is forced into action. -

I think you already know the answer to your final question here .... -
I'm sure a potential Samuel trade would just be something like Samuel and a 7th for a 6th, maybe even in 2027. It would be all about unloading the contract to make room. As we're currently Dead Last in the league with 1.7m for the 51. But we need to come up with a fair amount more to go from 51 to 53, pay the Practice Squad, and have some room for In Season Spending. But there's also some restructuring we can do to do that. You don't have to offer Special Teams as a 4th or a 5th WR, but it definitely doesn't help your chances if you're on the bubble if you don't. And that's where Moore kind of is. I'm getting an OJ Howard vibe from him. Down to the dollar amount in guarantees (2.5m isn't nothing, but it's not uncuttable), the lack of Teams, and a young guy impressing underneath him while he isn't. Right now, I just as easily see him being cut as I do him sticking. If they have an actual interest in Davis and it's not just doing due diligence or helping someone they like out to manufacture interest - I could easily see a scenario where down the stretch our WR core was Shakir, Palmer, Coleman, Davis, and Shavers.
