  1. Past hour
  2. Ill have a small piece but its not a necessity. Give me the potatoes, the stuffing and the yams.
  3. Here is where I am at: Consider me "Blake" (Alec Baldwin) in the movie Glengarry Glen Ross - every one is fired in my mind as of now and they have one shot to win their jobs back and that is find a way to win the Super Bowl this year. (Link Below to one of the best openings in movie history and one of the best on screen speeches in movie history if you are not familiar with it). Rams won the SB when they were not really the best team in the NFL. Any team can get hot in the post season, have some things go their way, and get the job done. McD and Beane have done some great things for this franchise, and I still think McD is a good football coach and Beane is still a good GM. But at some point a change is needed, you can't keep doing the same things and expecting different results. My bigger concern is watching Josh Allen regress this year. Is it a sign that some of his super hero traits are slowing down after such a physical career? Or is it more a function of the team/coaching around him this year? We don't really know, he could have 1-2 years of elite play left or 6-8...but what I do know is now willing to gamble whatever elite years he has left on a system and regime that hasn't been able to get over the hump yet. All I know is I am not wiling to risk any more years on a regime that isn't getting over the hump with maybe the most gifted QB to ever play. So I am going Blake (Alec Baldwin) in Glenngarry Glen Ross on this regime. As of right now, this regime is fired. They want their jobs back, win the Super Bowl. Thats it. So like Alec Baldwin says here - "The good news is you are all fired. The bad news is you all have 1 week to earn your jobs back starting with tonights sit." This is where I am at right now - mentally they are all fired with one chance to win their jobs back and that is win the SB this season. Scene link below - highly recommend watching it whether you have seen it not just because its really just an all time great movie scene.
  4. My dog Gumby died a year ago (11/18/24) out of nowhere. He was a rescue from NC and we had him 7 years. Crawled under the porch that night and left us. My heart goes out to you and anyone who has gone through this. He had such a sweet spirit. I miss you buddy.
  5. I love Cam Heyward, but he's shot. If you want to add somebody to that list, make it Alex Highsmith.
  6. I believe they have become complacent to a degree. Too much sloppy football. Even in the games they win they’re sloppy at times. This roster is too old, slow and pricey in certain positions. Belichick was good at knowing when to move on from certain players. Beane seems to do the opposite.
  7. "If we win out" is absolutely the shakiest part of this argument...
  8. it was ridiculous. i was also very annoyed with the chris kelsey hate. people HATED him for not getting pinned ears back rush the passer sacks. the dude won't make you write home to your momma at 1 sack every 4.5 games (147 games - 32.5 sacks over 11 years). his 2 solo tackles a game don't make you think much of his performance. but the guy was absolutely a wall to funnel the carrier to the inside where our linebackers were supposed to clean up - and often did with guys like London Fletcher, Takeo Spikes, and more. that defense at the time was archaic by the contemporary design of that era and would be 100% a fossil in todays league. it'd be unmanageable due to the limited quality of linebackers in todays league, sadly.
  9. Over on the Ken Burns thread, NB twice asked people to define a patriot. No one took a stab at it except me. Now it seems that if you disagree, you should give us your definition of the term. Or maybe you do agree on the term but just don’t think Biden qualifies due to his financial deals.
  10. When I was getting older I got into the habit of jumping on top of my own guys and trying to cover them up whenever any of them would recover a fumble. Some of them would be like "Man, what the hell are you doing?"; the smart ones would say "Thanks, dude 🤙"
  11. Another celebration I really hate is the backflip into the end zone. Cook does it a lot, maybe Ray Davis did it recently. Pretty easy to hurt yourself goofing off. No fine, just a stupid move IMO.
  12. Luckily, the Steelers don't beat good teams unless those teams throw up all over themselves. When we lose to Pittsburgh it's always a blocked punt then we get a full screen shot of their special teams coach chomping his chewing gum like a maniac. If we don't turn it over and don't give them freebies on special teams they cannot win.
  13. I sure hope so. Good time for that Giants Dline to really gel. Also, I'm counting on the Pats losing to Balt. and us so.. Rather have Jameis play.
  14. His career path indicates "PITA in the locker room." How else do you explain the Pats trading a first for him, him producing there, and then the Pats turning right around and trading him for a 4th? Not to mention that he was a first-rounder who was traded by his drafting team before his fourth year after producing back-to-back 1,000+ yard seasons.
  15. I can live with Kyle. JJ is inexcusable. It looks like a bad parody when he shoots at the FT line now.
  16. That dude was so underrated by Bills fans. One of the angriest stretches I've ever had in this forum was when this fanbase started incessantly crapping down his neck when he suffered his first serious injury after having played so many years of ProBowl quality football for this team. One of my happiest stretches was when he came back and instantly, and I mean instantly, started just wrecking offenses. That was one of only two times I've ever gone into full "I told you ashholes!" mode around here.
  17. This is the punch line to the long joke of the season.
  18. The Giants are going to get that new defensive coordinator coaching bump 😄
  19. Where’s @HIT BY SPIKES ??!!
  20. He’s more washed than 10-year-old bedsheets
  21. Up until recently, Cooks had been productive everywhere he had been. Bizarre career indeed.
  22. Are they having a contest for "Most Punchable Face in Pro Football?"
