How many times we, including pundits, said that of the Chiefs in the past, like they barely squeezed by the Raiders etc. Oh they surely would lose against better teams. Yet they went on to Superbowls and continued to go to the AFC championship game 7, 8 years in a row. My advice is stop worrying about how the Bills measure up on paper against teams. You know the Bills are one of the top superbowk challengers. One game at a time just like the players do.

It's not irrelevant because Allen still can do all the other things from the different seasons, he just doesn't by default any more. Sure if we want to cherry pick various situations sometimes things happen...the other team is a group of professionals as well. "Stopped" on 4th downs was more thanks to the refs suddenly being unable to spot the ball properly for the entire game with the Bills on offense. It was so obvious and egregious to even casual fans and caused such a firestorm that the NFL had to put chips in the ball to ensure spots were accurate.

Ironically they performed better against a mobile QB and a decent OL the week before. I’m hoping the potential is there and I do think Ed Oliver will help. Tre White was horrible. Babich made the perfect call with a corner blitz on Tua. Tre had him dead to rights and just whiffed. Plus whenever Tua needed a completion he looked to Waddle in 1V1 coverage against Tre. At this point, I think they look to work in Strong and eventually Harrison. TJ Sanders looks like a mix between Boogie Basham and DeWayne Carter. That’s not good. He might as well be the invisible man He also missed a sack on Tua on 3rd down which would have given Buffalo the ball back before the half. That could have changed the game. Tre didn’t play well

I think this is true... you literally need to give them space or they will kill you down field... but tre was about 15 yards away on multiple occasions not sure if that is speed or cutting ability... I am hoping he is still recovering and his ability to react will get better.

Yea agree. We have always been a decent 3rd down defence with the odd big breakdown. Until the last two years. And it doesn't look much better yet.

Cook looks amazing this year and imo is having his best stretch as a pro. His short yardage running and wiggle is actually crazy this year. You watch some Cook plays from 2022 and he looks like 2 different players. Don't look now, but he's leading the league in rushing. Subject to change when everyone else gets a third game

Excellent point It almost feels like they are very aware of that as well. They had a couple of play calls last night that had me screaming. At the same time, it is partially because if they don’t make a mistake, Miami can’t keep trading punches with them. That’s what I think the Bills believe.

Jackson Hawes has added such an interesting element to this team. Candidly, I didn’t know much about him when they took him other than he was a great blocking TE. You could see the vision though with the pick. He’s basically replaced Alec Anderson and done so in a manner that keeps the option to throw out there. He has been a fantastic addition so far.

That and Josh basically not turning it over any more. Bad teams can hang with good teams with a couple TOs. Josh playing this way makes it a million times harder for the Bills to drop one that they shouldn't.
