Sounds like a couple of crooks to me. -
He gets fired this offseason if our defense is terrible in the playoffs again.

I think McDermott is willing to give up rushing yards between the twenties.. because his yards per carry against goes down the closer you get to the goal line If you have a nine Play 65 yd drive.. and it gashes you on the run.. but it ends in a field goal That's a win for McDermott.. and it is a win for our defense.. field goals don't win games McDermott runs a lightbox which dares you to run.. because it is tough to consistently run for 60 minutes.. we've always talked about being behind the curve in the NFL.. like we're never trendsetters McDermott was the trendsetter to running nickel 75% of the time... We're allowing 22 points per game and getting healthier The Ravens defense is stuffed with all pros and pro bowlers and it's getting gashed

Oh, this won’t be any great defense . You can bet on that. Still, don’t you always need to outscore your opponent to win ?

[Question] Top 3 Players Currently In The NFL Who Deserve a SB Ring

Which 3 players in the league most deserve a SB Ring? Stop overthinking it. Josh Allen should be on all of these list. -

No Bills players , that's a great list Class acts.. Campbell is a Hall of Fame person and a future Hall of Fame football player Trent Williams the same and so is cam 34 ends typically gets shafted.. but these guys have been so good for so long ... And Mainstays Probably some of my favorite players in the league outside of Bills players -
NOW is Bobby Babich's seat hot?
hondo in seattle replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do you think our front would appear more aggressive if it were more talented? In other words, is this a Beane failing or a McD failing? Or do you think Babich should call more blitzes, with the risks that involves? And considering we're giving up the fewest passing yards in the league, how much do we really need to worry about having an aggressive front four? It seems to me our main defensive problem is that we can't stop the run. And, for that, I blame both McD and Beane. McD likes to run nickel or dime something like 70 or 80% of the time. He's making a tactical decision to defend the pass first and makes defending the run a secondary priority. On top of that, missed assignments and tackles have been problems. Beane hasn't been getting us a lot of talent on the defensive side of the ball. It doesn't help that our two of our three best players - Milano and Oliver - are hurt. But even with them we have exactly zero All-Pro quality defenders. McD's scheme would work better if he had better players. -

Yes. We are regressing and even with the assets devoted to defense, we are inept. McD needs to give up that side of the operation to an accomplished coordinator after the season and not meddle with their coaching. - Today

Interestingly we’re third in pressure rate though. Not sure PFR is to be trusted on this one. But would explain why our pass defense has been so good. Just need to stop the third and longs from the Miami game. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2025/opp.htm#all_advanced_defense

I’d go with the longer leg, which I’d figure is Bass by a good margin. Watching warm ups Sunday, praters range was much less than the saints.

Never had a dominant defense? McDermott has literally had a defense ranked 2, 1, 2, 4 for points against... 2,3,1,6,9 for yards against 3,4,3,4,8,9,10 for turnovers 7,9,10 for Rushing touchdowns allowed 1,2,2,2,8,9 for passing touchdowns allowed Those are terrific upper echelon numbers It is insane how people think Sean McDermott doesn't have the ability to put out good defenses.. he literally always maximizes our talent If anybody else in the world had those numbers they would be getting praised People forget that we're literally going into the playoffs with seven fresh dinged up defensive players and two or three starters the last multiple playoffs.. that's the difference.. even right now we're without two good defensive linemen and we're getting our first round pick back.. Oliver didn't play We are nowhere near what we're going to look like in January McDermott is far from a bum

Yes, without all of our offensive investments, we would indeed be a bad team. This is not as strong of an argument as you might think.
-
Typically you would be correct Though something as severe as a dislocated knee could injure the popliteal artery which would require immediate medical attention basically And they would go through the entire procedure

Why didnt players who were exempt bc they were grandfathered in to the NHLs helmet rule wear helmets? Athletes do what works for them. Maybe a trend will start, but until then its the exception rather than the rule to take extra steps for safety. We have a helmet law while riding motorcycles in NYS. South Carolina doesnt. We think it's nuts to ride without. Guess how most people in SC roll? Hell, even as a kid when the major push for kids to wear bike helmets started to occur in the 90s - most didnt. Future generations did, just as now it seems absurd to play hockey w/out a helmet and most kids wouldn't dream of it. Itd seemingly be an odd rule to implement, but until it does, until peoole have to (like Josh choosing to wear a visor for protection) they wont. It is what it is.. but it deff is.

You know what? I still hate the New England Patriots.

Interesting. I agree. I think blitzing is becoming part of the defense, rather than something to do when the four aren't getting home. Making the defense more varied. Plus whatever they were doing with White is another example.

I have a hard time believing that he didn’t completely tear his ACL, and I also have a hard time believing that the surgery he just had was to repair an ACL. They want all the swelling down, and range of motion restored before doing that surgery— three weeks would be rushing it. Two days would be very unlikely, it seems to me. But I’m no doctor. But why make up a story? It doesn’t seem like they’re being straight.

3rd round draft pick snap counts
Shortchaz replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is exactly it. Edge players coming to our system expecting to rush the passer have to learn that we don’t do that here. We have a very sophisticated system that requires a heavy rotation and is poor at both stopping the run and rushing the passer. I kid, I kid -

How long ago did your puppy get thrown out of the bar? I really haven't been to Holiday valley in a decade since I had season passes.. how long is the bar restaurant been closed -
In his prime he was as electric on the field as he was horrible off it. A uniquely explosive player. Not sure there's been anyone like him before or since. He was a treat to watch as long as it wasn't against the Bills.
