Is Babbich on the hot seat now?
Buffalo Junction replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, you better get on your knees and start praying for the defense to get and stay healthy; especially Bosa, Ed, and Groot. Without those three guys performing at a high level McD or Babbich will be trying to manufacture pressure in high leverage moments. -
This is not something I care even a little bit about. If teams are concerned, they can control what information they present to him when he is in his role as a broadcaster. If they are dumb enough to give him information that would help the Raiders, that's on them.

Dems have got it going on!

This is a valid point and my concern

Tom Brady: Broadcaster vs Owner Thread
Captain Hindsight replied to ryguy101's topic in The Stadium Wall
I doubt he is getting much out of the production meetings. “What’s the plan this week? “ “we want to establish the run and convert 3rd downs.” The biggest advantage he has is getting to interview potential coaches or players to joining the raiders. It can be under the guise of a production meetings, but he has access to coaches and players like no other team has -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW – “How Does It Feel to Have a Quarterback?”
Shaw66 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, I agree. I don't think those guys are playing because McDermott has a different philosophy. If they weren't developing through training camp, Beane would have been active picking up guys as they got cut elsewhere. They could have thrown Phillips in there Sunday, if they thought someone wasn't ready, but that didn't happen. Still, there's no question that getting the playing time is a great opportunity to continue their NFL educations. It means they should know what they're doing when the second half of the season comes around. I feel the same way about Bishop. He's not playing because of an injury, but if he weren't minimally competent he would be playing. It could have been Hamlin or even Poyer. But since he's at least decent the playing time is a great way to get him up the learning curve and ready for the second half. And it was great that Dorian Strong got the time he did against the Ravens, and now he's getting more spot time. All those guys getting playing time is good for the games to come. -
No apology needed. Maps aren't a big deal. I am glad you are doing the announcers thread, which you are doing great! You're passionate about this.
-
I mean you're not wrong but this is part of JA and his game, he's a gamer and is gonna play tough no matter what

Figured I'd start a thread for those of us that love to wager on the games Here's the bets I'm thinking about for Thursday vs Dolphins Palmer over 33.5 yards Kincaid over 30.5 yards Coleman over 41.5 yards +600. $10 pays $70 Allen over 1.5 TDs Palmer TD Palmer over 34.5 Ty Johnson over 12.5 yards rushing Allen over 234.5 yards passing +1100 $10 pays $120 If we add ty Johnson anytime TD +5000 $10 pays $510 Kincaid over 29.5 yards Cook over 11.5 receiving yards Boss over 0.5 sacks Knox anytime TD Coleman anytime TD +7500. $10 pays $760 On this one, I can change Coleman and Kincaid and the odds remain the same for anytime TD I'm debating on my second bet if I want to add that ty Johnson anytime And on the third bet, I'm debating on Coleman or Kincaid. Leaning Coleman cause the final DBs are trash 1st bet I feel really good about Thoughts? What's your bills SGP? Or what about NFL bets in general this weekend?

Tom Brady is a known cheat who exploits the rules for his favor. Why wouldn't that bleed into his post-quarterback career? It's an obvious conflict of interest to be an owner of a team and a broadcaster with access to other NFL teams. He's not even a very good broadcaster.

awaiting heat maps

i've already said it. right now he's better, to answer your specific question that we are clearly talking about.

Jest looking 0-3 squarely in the face.

I think the great quarterbacks will probably be good anywhere I 100% don't agree that Patrick mahomes would be the exact same quarterback in 31 other teams.. if Josh Allen goes to the Jets I think he probably showed flashes and is good but again does not reach his height with the bills because of our organization being top-notch Same with Tom Brady If Tom Brady goes to the lions or browns at 22 I don't think he's anything close to the same player I think they could all be really good.. but I find it highly highly unlikely that Brady gets 7 rings if he doesn't start off his career with belichick I don't think mahomes has three super bowls if he doesn't start with Andy Reid The Buffalo Bills organization 100% has been a calming growing influence on Josh.. literally every single 22-year-old kid has a chance to be a bust.. it's not fair to coaching staffs to say they don't have an influence which is why they're around... To think Josh Allen would be an MVP if he was drafted by the Jets , it's not happening I think his career is much more Sam darnold trajectory then Patrick mahomes is regressing from what he was and he still has great coaching.. so it shows that even someone who is considered great can even start losing itba bit... Even with tremendous coaching...Kurt Warner was great with the Rams Didn't play good for years until he got to the Cardinals There's a lot of things with quarterbacks going on and to think every truly great quarterback.. could be as just as good in any situation I don't believe that Players would be coaching themselves and calling plays themselves if they didn't need people to help them develop... Josh Allen has been getting developed by the Buffalo Bills extremely well and the entire football world agrees with that Joe burrow certainly can be a lot less effective in a lot of other places just look at him now he already struggles to stay on the field... If he was in Chicago his career wouldn't be nearly as close and it still falling apart Situation matters For the elite quarterbacks to even reach that elite status they need to be in the right place with the right staff... Sure once you reach elite status it's hard to lose it because they knew what it took to get there But I don't think Patrick mahomes becomes elite Patrick mahomes if he's on the Chicago bears ... I don't believe that at all

I never thought Micah wasn’t athletic and I’m only basing it on their comparable RAS numbers. But the similarities in their career arcs is interesting imo. Both played multiple DB positions in college, both 5th round picks, both asked to play nickel initially as pros while many projected Hyde as an eventual safety and are now doing with Hancock. I’m looking forward to his evolution as a pro.

On second viewing, you're right. The defender attempts to "break down" on both plays, he just gets knicked by Torrence on Cook's run. I retract my earlier statement.
-
I don't get it. If it's a tough week elsewhere (meaning it's tough to pick winners?), then this is the perfect week to use double-digit fave Buffalo.

sorry @chongli my computer won't let me send out maps for whatever reason but I am still doing announcers

Tom Brady's Role as a broadcaster and as a partial owner for the Las Vegas Raiders is threatening competitive balance. 1. One day after the Eagles Chiefs rematch Brady was in the Raiders coaching booth (Eagles and Chiefs will play this season) 2. 6 days before broadcasting Cowboys vs Bears - Brady was listening in the in-game communication of the Raiders (Raiders will play Cowboys and bears) So... Brady will broadcast games of 6 of the Raiders opponents this season Is this fair? Eric Shanks (Fox Sports CEO) declined to comment if that is a conflict of interest when asked. The NFL issued a statement. “There are no policies that prohibit an owner from sitting in the coaches’ booth or wearing a headset during a game,” league spokesman Brian McCarthy said in a statement to Yahoo Sports and others. "Brady was sitting in the booth in his capacity as a limited partner. All personnel sitting in the booth must abide by policies that prohibit the use of electronic devices other than league-issued equipment such as a Microsoft Surface Tablet for the Sideline Viewing System.” A yahoo article writes, "League broadcast partners routinely hold production meetings with the teams whose games they’re about to call. Facility visits include practice viewing and meeting with coaches and players. Oftentimes, staffs try to be more honest with the broadcast team than they would at a podium in order to ensure the success of a media rights deal worth $111 billion over 11 years. The NFL created some guardrails last season when Brady was approved as a limited owner of the Raiders months after his Fox gig began. The NFL barred Brady from participating in meetings and team visits last year. This year, the league loosened restrictions to allow Brady virtual access." So now this could lead the NFL to discuss this in future forums with the next one being in late October. What do we think?

https://506sports.com Bills play Thursday, but on Sunday, Buffalo TV gets: CBS - Pittsburgh at New England FOX early - Jets at Tampa Bay (Rochester and Syracuse get Rams at Philly instead, a much better game) FOX late - Dallas at Chicago
