As would this one. Folks availing themselves of the elite level services are asked/compelled to contribute at a higher proportionate level than those who cannot afford such extravagances. It’s quite progressive. I’m not suggesting a country club surcharged to fund health care, it’s literally in the same family of services. You’ve got a lot yet to give but don’t seem to want to participate. I’ll put you down for “you’ll miss it”.

They obviously were. Darnold was a way better prospect coming out than Fields. Like way way way better. That’s why, imo, he still fetched a decent price as a trade target whereas Fields was traded for a conditional sixth rounder lol. Thats Kaiir Elam bust compensation. No one is arguing that Darnold vastly outperformed Fields at their rookie stops. You can post their stats all you want. NFL teams saw Darnold and said, “we’ll give you a second rounder and a couple day 3 picks for him” and NFL teams saw Fields and said “we’ll give you a conditional sixth round pick for him and then bench him in 6 weeks and let him walk in FA” lol. The market has spoken. Darnold was valued at a second round pick+ and Fields was valued as a 6th round pick. That’s it. Case closed.

He had his great moments here for sure, sadly one of his best was signing with the Cowboys

Well done OP. NEA got to you -
The idea of spending that kind of money on a property where you're hemmed in by neighbors on 4 sides is utterly incomprehensible to me.

Yeah, I was thinking that Spencer Brown and Dion Dawkins might have some significant input about Wilkins that the Bills would be well-advised to take into consideration. -
Ha. In the very simplest terms the Bills DBs do more read and react than the Cowboys DBs. Playing outside in the Cowboys D traditionally (under previous DCs) their corners just play press at the line and then run vertically with their receiver. Values long speed and ball skills over processing speed and quick transitions. That said I have just remembered Matt Eberflus is now their DC and he traditionally has run some more Sean McDermott esque combination zone concepts. Will be interesting to see what their defense looks like.

It's...day 3 of camp? Are you ready to say "Tre White appears firmly entrenched as the starter" based on the same data? Is it just me, or is Allen lighting into a receiver relatively new? -

I hear you, Doc, but I am not really commenting about, more so what happens when these guys become available. or at least how it seems. -
1. Colossal does not mean rare. It means huge. 2. The Pro Bowl is a popularity contest and an absolute joke that has nothing to do with on-field talent. 3. Elam is a bust and it’s not debatable.

It was a wildly inappropriate but extremely satisfying breakfast! And yes, I drank the syrup after I'd emptied the jar

Did Mitch retire? Right. Keep in mind that even Mitch Morse, Mr. Classy, Mr. Unflappable Professional, went after Wilkins like a Bull-dozer chasing a Cow-dozer after Wilkins shoved Josh And that was the reaction of the reserved, restrained classy OLman. -

Peach slices and Breyer’s extra creamy vanilla. Nothing to complain about there! I met a friend for lunch one day and he had 5-6 bandages on his face. He got new shaving gear from Harry’s (I think) and apparently they be some sharp ass blades! I had to ask “Charlie, after the first 2-3 cuts on your face, why did you keep going?” He did not have a good answer.

Based on the offseason DT additions, I have to think that's the plan. They want whoever's playing 1T on any given play to be able to pass rush from that spot, especially on passing downs. Daquon Jones is our only pure 1T that's likely to make the roster. Carter was primarily a 3T last year and is switching to primarily 1T. Ogunjobi and Sanders are both 3T first who can play some 1T. And Walker played more at 3T than 1T in college, although it's possible the Bills think they can teach him to be a full-time 1T. Haven't seen any photos today, but I'm pretty sure Spencer is still very white. Big if true.

I based it on actual numbers not perception. That elite Carolina front office, wrongly, thought that they could rehab Darnold. They couldn’t. It failed miserably. Maybe you didn’t like that the numbers showed nearly identical performances, with slightly more scoring and less turnovers from Fields. Both were in awful situations as young players. Here is the comparison of their most recent year in NY and Chicago respectively. One would assume that their play was improving instead of regressing in year 3. Darnold: 2-10 record, 59.6 completion %, 203 total YPG, 11 TDs, 13 turnovers Fields: 5-8 record, 61.4 completion %, 248 total YPG, 20 TDs, 13 turnovers Again, you continue to argue that they were in a vastly different place exiting NY and Chicago. They weren’t. If anything, Fields was playing better than Darnold. Scott Fitterer isn’t to be confused with Howie Roseman. The deal he made for Darnold was a disaster. The trade comp is a function of situation and bad teams more so than who was playing better at the time. Teams still had confidence in Darnold which is why he got a shot last year, and probably would have even if McCarthy stayed healthy. It’s the same reason that the Jets handed the reigns to Fields without any real competition this year. They are hoping to catch lightning in a bottle with Fields like the Vikings did last year (or at least the first half of last year) with Darnold. I like Darnold. I think he’s pretty good. He was my 19th ranked starting QB when I did the list a month ago. He’s fine. He’s a decent starting QB and just signed a contract saying pretty much that.
