  1. Past hour
  2. That I finally now know how to score a single point in football, thought I’d find the answer of another mystery that’s escaped me for too long. You must show your work in long division. (anyone remember that teacher rule?)
  3. For sure except that Hancock feels like a LOCK, to this poster at least. They seemed thrilled to land him when they did. He might not necessarily count towards the core-4 S depth chart, seeing as Lewis has traditionally been rostered in addition to 4 true safeties, right?
  4. This thread should keep running, great off season stuff in here
  5. He doesn't want to miss his train
  6. Why do you need to know?
  7. I thought the purpose of preseason games was to see how you can improve your roster.
  8. So this is an interesting point. The Steelers had a top-10 defense last season. 4 pro-bowl players and an all-pro in Cam Hayward, Watt, Queen, and Fitzpatrick, and they're all back. But what about the other 7 defenders? On the front 7, they still have their NT but Ogunjobi signed with the Bills. Still have Highsmith but Elandon Roberts signed with the Raiders. Both Ogunjobi and Roberts were north of 30 yrs, so it remains to be seen how much of a loss they are. On the back, Donte Jackson is now playing for the Chargers. Still have Joey Porter Jr. Still have Elliot. I'd say assuming their talent development is on track, their defensive personnel are pretty much on track for another good year. The Steelers, last year and this upcoming season, appear to be playing the Broncos "all we need is a QB" game which the Broncos won by signing Peyton Manning. Well, Russ Wilson is no Sheriff, so the Steelers said "Next!" and brought in a QB who legit was great, Manning level great, in his time. Frankly, I thought the Steelers OL stunk last season. I'm sure formerly DangeRuss didn't help it. They also had a very young OL except for Seamalo with rookie C and RG and a 2nd year RT, so I'm sure they hope for improvement. But Rodgers has all the mobility of a sloth on Sominex, so they'll need all the improvement they can get. IMHO, it's kind of a re-run of 2023 Jets with a chance for a different outcome. In 2022, the Jets had a great D and returned most of the pieces in 2023. Their idea was "all we need is a QB" so they signed Rodgers. And as we know, that lasted a whole 4 snaps into the 1st game. In 2024, Rodgers played but the wheels seemed to come off all around and Rodgers exceeded his age in sacks. It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out.
  9. Two trains are driving toward one another. The first train leaves Town A at 5am traveling at 60 miles per hour. The second train leaves Town B at 7am traveling at 70 miles per hour. the distance between Town A and Town B is 455 miles. What is the EXACT time that the collision will occur?
  10. Is “shlong” a derivative of short and long or a slurred “so long”?
  11. Tomlin might be too legit to be predictably, subversively undermined by some washed up coach killer. Or so I assume.
  12. Yeah, I've blocked numerous "bills news" pages on Facebook for that reason.
  13. It is kind of coincidental that Fields started for the Steelers and Rodgers started for the Jets week 1 last year. Now they swapped teams and will play each other week 1 this year as starters. I wonder if that's ever happened before.
  14. Today
  15. I had no idea what the Steelers plan at QB was. I respect Mike Tomlin, but this seems like "A plan where you lose your hat. And a plan where you lose your hat is...a Bad Plan" A good friend is a Steelers fan. We could be proven wrong, but we're both predicting a rough year for her fandom. I'd be really surprised if they don't butt heads by week 4 Time will Tell.
  16. Nope......this team just has the "comeback" gene.......down double digits in the 4th quarter, and they're thinking we've got 'em right where we want 'em!! Halliburton is CLUTCH!!!!
  17. Forgot to set the DVR for tonight, so I didn’t see it, but read that Carlisle subbed out all five on the floor when they were down 15 in the 4th and went on a 15-4 run. Pacers spread it all around well, but that move is all the more impressive considering the foe and the moment.
  18. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/yes-its-possible-to-score-only-one-point-in-an-nfl-game The sequence that would need to occur is so unlikely that we may never see it happen.
  19. So, on Sunday November 30th, a Bills defensive player will smash Rodgers and end his career?!
  20. I think you're confusing what you'd like to see with what's likely. If McBeane felt that he provided no value as at least a depth player and he was a "cut after 2 Pre-Season games" candidate, they wouldn't have re-signed him. I think you (and many of the board's) opinion of Hamlin and the teams opinion of Hamlin differ exponentially. You may *want* to see Hamlin off the team, just like everyone wanted him to be replaced in the Starting Lineup last season. But I'll believe that will happen when I see it. Most of the board sees him as a terrible player. McDermott sees him as a player he started all of 2024 and that they brought back when they easily could have let him go. And then they did very little in way of competition for his roster spot. I find it hard to believe they're going to go from him Starting all last season and not being replaced to not even being the 4th Safety and cut. Hancock is Lewis' competition. Forrest is Hamlin's. And again, I'll believe it when I see it that they'd move on from a guy they started all last season for a 1.3m journeyman that they only guaranteed $100k to or an Undrafted Free Agent in Owens.
  21. I guess my mind melded those two Thanksgiving game injuries together!! I think Beane believed signing Miller was a "put us over the top" move after the 13 seconds game. It may have been a bit risky due to his age, but Miller producing 8 sacks in 11 games before the injury was showing the move was worth the risk......would've loved to see what a healthy Von Miller could've done in the '22 Playoffs and beyond..... I'm with you in hoping this young D-line the Bills have put together can become a dominant force in the years to come! 👍
  22. And that's exactly how I will be watching. It has got too out of hand.
  23. Good lord I'm in b4 this gets merged into the PSL thread
