Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)

Even if he is well, I am not confident that he will be productive… In the little bit of practice he did have, Hairston looked lost. -
The Bills lost their best Fan this morning.

So sorry, bro. It's been six for me in my years and it's the worst. I lost my previous boy at just shy of 14 in Nov 2023. It crushed me. I'm on the autism spectrum and I don't really connect with people easily and I'm always going to need a dog for companionship and to help my mood. I was just crying so much for a month and then half-heartedly looked on the petfinder and saw a goldendoodle at a humane society branch nearby and I hemmed and hawed for a day or two but I did an application that fell through at first (he was placed with another couple, and a week later they returned him bc their existing dog was being very territorial. Upon getting Ace back, they contacted me. And I picked him up on the 9-year anniversary of my mum's passing from a difficult cancer. Was thinking and praying to her the whole time hoping the new dog would like me. And... it put a little bit of light back into that very sad day on the calendar). And it's not that I loved my Ruff the less. It's just... there are LOTS of GREAT dogs out there who need good homes and... for everyone in this thread... you have good homes and love to share. Ace has really helped in the healing journey. And the thing is, it'll happen again until it's my own time to cross the bridge and meet them all. And my heart will break again. But.... -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)

Praying for Max to get well -
Im a professional sports handicapper I know what they mean. Right now at this moment the Books have Buffalo favored to win the Super Bowl. They can lose there next couple of games and their odds will drop a lot. I’m completely aware of what they are. I was just posting them for information. Nothing more.

Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)

Yup on your last point. But cannot have a player at that position, period, who makes a good play HALF of the time. After the Miami game I said basically what you are saying about that, but with the understanding that that is why he should never again play corner for the Bills. Just think of the repercussions at THAT position. He is a sitting duck, as a cornerback with that lack of consistency would give one big, vital play after another--or, every other play. If you were a QB and there is an important play to make, for a third down, or to score, who would you target? I know that Tre White would be my man, and that is what we are seeing now, over and over. It will get even worse now as there is so much tape on how disarmingly poor White is now. Can't have that, not if you hope to be a contender. I will say it again--they need to get players right now in there who can cover NFL wide receivers consistently. No matter what it takes, including player for player swaps, trades for draft picks, off of practice squads--need players who at least have the ability, the potential, to cover NFL wide receivers, as Tre White clearly does not. It may be a roll of the dice, but they made a mistake of rolling the dice with a player who clearly did not look like an NFL corner last year and rolled snake eyes as a result. Now they need to take much more intelligent chances, rather then ignoring the facts, such as what was so clear to anyone watching White last year. -
Sunday was brutal. But, it was nice to see the Ravens, Chiefs and Chargers lose. Time to get back on track, fellas. Go Bills!
-
I'm sorry, man. Those odds don't mean a thing. We're near dead last at stopping the run. We lost track of the failures at getting stops on the opponent's 3rd downs. Philly Eagles should be the favorites.

All of which doesn’t mean to me the League is “rigged “ … that would mean the people running the sport are orchestrating outcomes
-
I said in the "around the league" thread, if you can bet money on it, someone is on the take. Everyone always says, it's too easy to find out if someone is shaving points or calling the game unfair or x, y and z. But for some reason, it seems to happen a lot.
-
On another note Even after the loss last night Buffalo is still the favorite to win the Super Bowl. +475 Eagles are still 2nd at +700.

the league being “rigged “ and a biased or even crooked ref(s) can be two different things as you note
-
I think there's a chance Dallas could manage a winning record but 11/12 wins feels like it would require a miracle. Dak has been arguably the best QB in the league this season though. Baker, Darnold, and Stafford have been pretty spectacular as well

Brady can take the page in the playbook with the fades to Coleman and rip it right out. Coleman needs to be slants, comeback routes and scramble drill. Stop throwing him jump passes while he’s blanketed. 1. He’s not that good at them 2. Allen isn’t very good at throwing them Unless they are doing a bizarre “practice a play during a live game” thing, I just don’t understand it.
