any further info on Gabe Davis being inactive yesterday?
sleeby replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fred smerlas - bills nose tackle - wrote a book in the 90s in which he talked about Jim Kelly puking before many games and how the team would quietly celebrate it in the locker room as he often had his best games when he did that. He also talked about all the bacon and eggs on the line of scrimmage from the big boys. -
Keon chickens out of blocking 31, Craig Woodson 6’ 200 #s. Keon is 6’4 215 Cooks is cutting left, if Keon manned up and did his job, Cooks takes it to the house. There were multiple Bills ahead, James was about to juke left, and pass last line of defense. Best thing you did, you got lucky with a Ticky tack call. Where you the rest of the game? Besides not making blocks for your teammate

McDermott still in over his head
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to vtnatefootball11's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea theres supposed to be now but it’s new to this season for the league so not sure if something went wrong with the process on the nfl’s or our end up until this point pretty much all you got was the broadcast angles which are on delays…if a team rushed to the line and got the play off before the broadcast caught up you’d just have to guess which is why there were so many of those ‘why the hell did they challenge that’ type moments lol -
How about Steve Christie, hey if Rivers can come back...😌

In the context of Bobby Babich being our DC, this isn't actually an unattractive idea. He is back with the Jets, getting his crotch sweat on the back of his buddies neck again. It's part of the "Make the Jets Great Again" campaign.

Prater hurt? Might miss Browns game
Buffalo716 replied to Slippery Rubber Mats's topic in The Stadium Wall
He must be a terrible coach if he's coaching special teams at Medina lol You think you could at least be the head guy -
Posted last week as well when I realized that when my son and I have either attended or watched a game together, we are undefeated this year. So crazy as it seems, I flew to NYC for the weekend from Chattanooga to watch with him and lock in the dub. He is flying home for Xmas next Sunday, but after the game, so this concerns me.

And I was mad as hell when I saw this. Then the next play, or maybe 1 or 2 after, is the play he took Gonzalez for a ride.

Paup 1995MVP replied to Slippery Rubber Mats's topic in The Stadium Wall
Isn't he kicking for the Jets? He hit like a 57 yarder to beat Atlanta in week 13. What happened to Rodrigo? He kicked against my son's high school team in the suburbs of Atlanta a decade ago. Had a hell of a leg. And he wore those funky black glasses. LOL -

He's closer than you think. He coaches special teams at Medina High School in Orleans County NY. About an hour away from One Bills Drive. He's originally from Ontario. Lives on Lake Ontario in Orleans County. Seems to like being the big fish in the small pond. -
Debate Over: Drake Maye can’t hold Josh Allen’s jockstrap
MasterStrategist replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
This ^. Don't get me wrong, Drake Maye is having a very good season -- but some people with the "need" to compare Drake Maye to others in Year 2/etc, is just ridiculous. Maye has 0, repeat 0, 4th quarter comebacks to this point in his career. That's not the "be all, end all" metric but it's very important to see if a QB can be clutch when it matters most. There are so many games where 4th quarter lead swings occur, the Pats have managed to take a lead into every 4th quarter game this season and hold on. I want to see what happens in moments when Maye's defense doesn't hold the opposition in check. Maye has the fortunate situation where the most points his defense allowed in a game was a week 2 win (27 points against Miami), until yesterday's game. He hasn't had to take over a game / win any shoot-outs. Being efficient and having a defense hold opponents below 20 ppg on average, is a recipe to win a lot of games --- but that's not the norm when playing top echelon teams/playoffs. -

He’s on the Jets last I knew -
While I can't discount this, I wondered at the time whether the news that he was caught was weighing on him. He had to know the hammer was gonna be dropped at some time. Might the public shaming and suspension played with his mental preparedness?

Nice eye. Keon is a ***** that is scared of contact. One Poyer hit, and he is soft as ice cream in hell. No guts, no heart, not a team player. Keon should be embarrassed when he looks in the mirror. We’ve been begging for Wide Receivers for years- and you give us Keon, and expect us to be satisfied. Why is Keon on the roster? Zero pride, zero passion

Vrabel whining about the officiating in Bills/Pats
HamptonBillsfan replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe Vrabel might consider the blown call and replay review blown call on the Boute catch, that handed the Pats their first TD. That put our team immediately under stress on the road.Every team has a give and take on holding and DPI calls. The inability to stop 5 straight TD drives and the failure to get a first down on the last drive in a must situation after the Bills went ahead 35-31 should be more frustrating to Mike. -
Debate Over: Drake Maye can’t hold Josh Allen’s jockstrap
The Wiz replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bored, always. Recognizing the difference between stroud with diggs, collins and kirk his first 2 years and then fading after they are hurt vs Maye with Diggs as a situational player is the same way everyone has been complaining about the bills WR room since Diggs left. -
Kincaid really wasn’t getting a ton of snaps when healthy either but he is hilariously efficient when he’s on the field so you’d never guess that haha

Dang this sucks -
I hear that, but I’ve seen too many “run for the bus” season finales by teams that were out of it and with Miami having to go play in the cold, I can see where they might lose interest early.

Green Bay got wrecked by injuries yesterday and the Steelers would be trying to complete the sweep of the Ravens. As others have explained, the Ravens game is irrelevant to tiebreaker scenarios between the Pats and Bills. It's more important to keep the Ravens out.
