SF would be insane to move on from Shanahan.

Good Lord. Josh Allen is by FAR the least of the issues. The issue is we have WR that aren't good. They are average. Mediocre. They don't get open. The result? Passing game doesn't work. Allen has to hold the ball longer. Allen takes sacks. Allen has to super hero it, which causes fumbles. Teams just need to stop Cook and game over. THIS ISN"T ALLEN. It's a BEANE thing.

I don't think benching Josh will help his confidence. Might get the coach fired though.

4th and 1: fake tush push into pass play
L Ron Burgundy replied to SunDSolar's topic in The Stadium Wall
Other teams do it and it works. We suck at trick plays for some reason. -
If we're going to keep playing games like this, at least let Ray Davis kick more field goals so we get SOME entertainment.
-
Hopefully Stroud is back, he's good for a coupe of turnovers. We'll need them.
-
He seems to be our leading receiver with Shakir. Not having him in the line-up for the next number of games will make the passing game even more suspect.

Even if you 100% confident that this would work and was a great play, why the heck would you unleash it against the Dolphins in mid November? -
I will always be grateful to the Pegula's for buying the Bills and doing their part in getting the new stadium built that keeps the Bills future in WNY going forward. Their ownership with the team has mostly been a successful one. But I think we are reaching a point where a change in the FO is needed. Will Terry make a change. I think Kim would but unfortunately, she is dealing with serious health issues and is not involved with the team anymore.

He has lost his Fundamentals. Throwing sidearm way too much. Look at the last game and tell me how many times he ***** his arm but does not throw the ball? He has lost confidence in himself. We know he can thread the needle. i am really getting tired of everybody on this board saying we need a #1 WR. Stop looking at josh at the snap and look at how many people are open down field, even if it is only 7-10 yards downfield. He needs to work on everything. i am afraid no one is going to hold his feet to the fire. Yea, we got shi!!y play calling by the coaches on both sides of the ball. Of Course, WE won't bench him (don't want to see Mitchell in there). but he needs to not watch film, he needs to start working on his craft and throw the damn ball. re watch the last 3 games or so and you will see. Also, when we don't run the ball i'm pretty sure Josh feels that he needs to put on his cape and save the day. I would have loved to see him just throw the ball in the dirt or out of bounds, just to get better play calls. He is Way better than this!! Thanks

The notion Josh is soft is an absolute ridiculous take. Mind baffling. Cmon guys. -
That was a good point on George. I met him once. I was a medical device repeat the time before mgmt, and had to meet an uber rich guy on a private plane for a unique CGM device (the first and I was one of only 7 pilot territories to field test). Steinbrenner was in the Tampa private airport next to TPA. I’m waiting for the billionaire flying in from an island in the Gulf. I saw him and introduced myself. He was so gracious, spoke to me about how my dad was invited for a tryout in 1955 after Korea for the then Brooklyn Dodgers. He asked more questions about my dad as he was waiting for his private jet. Many know he has the Yankees preseason stadium in Tampa and an incredible philanthropist in the Tampa Bay Area. My point in this inconsequential story was he was nothing but decent, friendly to a young (at the time) ambitious med device rep who was a go getter. I agree with the premise that so many owners make $ no matter what and is a simple investment. Steinbrenner truly cared about winning. As stated, so did the Maras, Rooneys, and so on. So far, I still like the Pegulas and believe he wants to win to a point. I’m one of the only not NHL fans even though an immediate family members has worked for the Sabres for 25 years. When I was younger my ex wife’s trade off was I can be obsessed with the Bills and the NFL as long as it was not every sport. She put up with me for 22 years, and my current wife basically when I start yelling at my iPad or tv, she’s basically states I’m going to Costco. What the McBeane administration does from now til the end of the year will be telling.

They didn't. It was similar, no doubt, in that it was a roll out right but it was a different formation. -
They are kind of in a uncertain state. When Cook does not have a run of 5 yards, they go to pass the next play. Even I can tell from the stands. Look at Miami yesterday, McDaniel stuck on the runs even the first one was not successful and came back with a different run with a different runner. Of course he knew run defense is Bills big weakness. When Josh goes to pass, it is either throw behind the LoS or going down field - more like crossing patterns to TE lately. I guess you can do the WCO stuff by throwing short on 2nd down or with play action. But it's not working. I thought we have short area quick separation guys, including Coleman. Either Brady is not calling it or Josh does not like the quick WCO type of passing game, timing patterns. Even the greatest QB has weakness. Last week the Bills openly said Mahomes does not like structured plays so they hemmed him in, even when he moves, with a hemming in structure by rushing guys. Look at the result. Allen is more of a visual guy, may not "trust" someone easily by throwing a ball to an area blindly in a timing pattern (like Tua is known for).
-
Agreed. And losses shouldn't be what it takes to expose a teams weaknesses. If the coaching staff can't see it at any time, they have no business being coaches.
-
I'm with you on the first part, the second im not entirely sold on. but it did get me thinking last night if thats one area that pegula has said behind closed doors that he doenst believe in spending money. im sure both babbich and brady were economy hires.

Whether it's physical, mental, or emotional related - personal, roster, or coaching related - something is wrong with Josh this season. He's just not the same. Is he the main problem? No. But he has to improve. -
totally. just disappointing because trump with his mountains of debt, and little concern for it, seemed like he was gonna be different. Now he’s just another voice for the banks? Come on now. I am concerned Silicon Valley bro “Vance” is rubbing off on him cause he immediately shared the Trump tweet about 50 year mortgages with glee its asinine as another poster said

That sentence right there. I've had that feeling since the Bernard signing, and Rousseau. The defensive side in general. The staff values the wrong things, and the scheme has long been figured out.

Hate to say this … but the Pats are effing good
Jeffbigalls replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
They are a top tier team thru 10 games, they fine ways to win games, they are the best team in the AFC East thru 10 games. Top tier teams find ways to win games, not lose games. When they play buffalo again off the bye and beat them we can see what excuse will be then. -

My wife screamed "why didnt he run for the TD" when slid at like the 6 yard line. -
And sometimes, he even caught it!

I used to be so much more tied up into this team. The Bills were a gigantic part of my life since my early days on the old BBMB. A loss especially like the Dolphins one would have me pretty messed up for a few days afterwards. Now i don’t get nearly as affected by a loss. Part of it is growing up for sure, but the other part is the decline of the NFL in pretty much every facet. It just doesn’t seem like we have the big personalities anymore that I remember seeing in the 90s - early 2000s. Guys like Ray Lewis, Polamalu, John Elway, Bruce Smith were mythical in the vain of great warriors. Social media definitely destroyed that. The greed of the owners will ultimately be the end of them. It’s only a matter of time before a major gambling scandal breaks open and the integrity of the game is even more destroyed. Goodell is a great businessman, but as far as i’m concerned, he destroyed a great product just to make a little extra money. What’s wrong with having 3 billion instead of 5 billion ? When does it end ?
