By this point hasn't this team and regime earned some patience? We've started strong, we've started slow, we've reset the offense mid year, we've had Diggs drama, the snowstorms, the Damar and Kim Pegula stuff, the shooting. We just keep on bouncing back. We've barely played any starters. What do you expect to get hyped about? Last year we were picked to finish 3rd or 4th in the east and the bears blew us out in the preseason. I doubt anyone was hyped then either

Not convinced well need a H2H tiebreaker for the Chiefs like other years. AFC West looks much improved and they were banging on the door last year.

But its the Ravens and Chiefs we have to have the head to head tiebreaker with for Home field Advantage

I believe he played soft, was always out of position and like you said: not so bright.

Sure, I wouldn't put it past the NFL to attempt something like that. But I don't think teams would go along with it if they really thought Sanders was going to be really good. I could be wrong but it's hard to see GMs and coaches with jobs on the line pass up what they think is a good QB in round 3 or 4. Kaepernick had a couple years where he struggled which I think helped that collusion. But it's a fair point, they're not above doing it.

I think that Bears game took a toll on everyone. Theres been almost zero positivity in the fanbase since that game. Throw in a new soft tissue injury every day at practice and this has been a longggg preseason. On paper, this team is much, MUCH better than last year. Palmer > Cooper Keon > Rookie Keon/Hollins Shakir = Shakir Add in some combination of Moore, Samuel, Shavers, Shenault as depth.. and in Moore, we have a guy who can actually have big games as a depth WR4. OL is exactly the same and it was a Top 3 OL last year with a developing Torrence. Same above average RB room. TE room essentially the same, but with the hope Kincaid isn’t playing hurt most of the year and has his Year 3 breakout. Our DL is so much more talented, with such a higher ceiling than last year .. especially when Hoecht gets back. Our back 7 was meh last year and that was without a healthy Milano. CB2/S2 are still an issue.. but they were an issue last year. This team is far more talented than last year. But like I said .. it’s been a longggg preseason without much good news aside from Keon & Shavers having a good camp. Cook holdout, injuries, backups getting destroyed in preseason games. It’s taking a toll and the regular season needs to get here asap.

I agree, I can't see how when most of the teams who don't have a franchise QB have coaches on thin ice that may never get a head coaching job ever again would pass up him up if they thought he was a possible franchise QB or even just a good one because the NFL wanted to make an example out of him. Especially in like the 3rd or 4th round.

For those saying this seems far-fetched, I'll just say... The NFL has been caught in the act of collusion already. The Kaepernick stuff didn't happen that long ago. I don't know whether Dickerson is telling the truth here or not. But I don't find it AT ALL hard to believe that a company worth as much as the NFL and whose continuous supply of willing labor balances so precariously on a teeter-totter of precedence and tradition would engage in collusion to ensure their continued success. PARTICULARLY given that they've already been found guilty of collusion in the past.

No because too many jobs are on the line when you swing for your franchise QB. If, for instance, the Giants, Steelers, or Colts thought he was their franchise guy then they would've pulled the trigger and drafted him in round 1. Once the QB needy teams decided he wasn't their franchise guy he fell because no team's want that much baggage with a backup. I won't parse words. Dickerson was lying.

He apparently deliberately tanked interviews with certain teams so as not to get drafted by them. Deion said the year before his sons won't be playing for certain teams, and it would be an Eli Manning-like situation if certain teams drafted them.
