11/20/2025 Bills @ Texans post game thread

I understand people saying the coaches aren't going. But if Josh goes to Pegula and calls for it to happen it will. And it felt like he was getting close to it tonight - with Brady anyway. -
Is watching the Bills fun for you these days?
DabillsDaBillsDaBills replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not really. The last 7 minutes of the Ravens game and the 2nd half of the Bucs game were about it. Watching this defense is soul crushing. Can't stop the run. Can't stop 3rd downs. Can't get sacks/turnovers unless we're playing Fields or Dalton. This defense is mostly bend AND break. We're sometimes bend but don't break. It feels like this offense runs 10+ bubble screens per game, half of which get tackled for minimum gain (or a loss). The offensive philosophy seems to prefer draining the clock over scoring points in an effort to protect this god awful defense. -

McDermott knows the roster isn't championship caliber - his answer to the question regarding this issue ("I love the guys on this team", or something like that), was telling. Beane is a buffoon. -

OK, time to accept we aren't winning the division and we are going to need to win a road playoff game for the first time in the Allen/McD era. -

Even on run plays where the O line is good you can almost give more credit to #85 & #41 for the big run plays. Last season was as much about Allen's elite escapability as the O line being great at pass blocking ad this season hey have clearly regressed. As I loom at the Bills roster construction from 30,000 feet I see a team that: * Made no effort to upgrade the WR room with above average play makers. * Focused on building a TE room that was better at run blocking then pass catching. They did this to the extent that their best pass catching TE when healthy is barely on the field for 50% of the snaps. * Focused on creating a very good run blocking O line at the expense of it's pass blocking ability. All of this has been done in service to McD's belief that this will result in the complimentary football needed to win a SB. So McD & Bean have structured a roster that is counter intuitive when you have a QB like Allen. Making matters worse after almost every season the majority of the FA & Draft assets are thrown at the D and yet the D has continually declined and has been the primary reason for losing playoff games. -

spoiled? Hardly. Outside of Allen this team has been a hot mess. Coaching, GM, etc. -

This has way more to do with the mentality of Bills fans than it has anything else We were destitute for 18 years.. Got a sniff of success and became as spoiled as Patriots fans.. you could read it here on posts everyday The fact you can go from beatin and downtrodden to spoiled in a 9-year span is ridiculous It usually takes 20 years of success... This fan base is tremendously good but it also has the flip side that is tremendously masochist and hurt that they would rather say let's trade Josh Then try to just make the team better We go from downtrodden to having a superstar to not thinking we deserve that Superstar Dude this is the NFL.. Buffalo Bills deserve Josh Allen after 65 years -

If you know anything aboutJosh, you know the answer, He's never leaving Buffalo. He's here for another 8 years hopefully more. Mcstupid, beane counter and Brady can go away whenever. Except Pegula will sit with his fingers up his a$$ and do nothing like he does with the sabres -
Oh you don’t know how audibles work. Ok let me explain. Allen can’t just pick any play he wants. He is given the main play and then he has one play he can audible to. That’s i. That’s the extent. That’s all of it. And he often does. I get it - you want him to be Tyrod Taylor. You want Allen not to be superman and scramble and make amazing things happen. You want him to just throw it away so we can punt on 4th and 7 instead of 4th and 20. Its a terrible take, but I get what you want. Watch Panthers games and you’ll enjoy a QB who does exactly what it is you’re asking for.

This entire season has felt off, and even when they win it still feels like a loss. -
Yes definitely. This one was hard to watch. We’ve been spoiled. Haven’t won the big one but we usually watch a really good team. This year we’ve regressed. It’s becoming annoying.

I gave McDermott 10 games to do something with the talent at his disposal on defense this year and he hasn’t produced. He’s moved from a neutral impact to a negative impact in my estimation. I.e. he’s sliding from an average coach to a below average coach. he’s frankly been here too long by about 3 years. -
Bills are Fool's Gold: Intentions Versus Results
Simon replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
This team has been in a funk all year long. It is the worst coached Bills team we have seen in the Allen era, and it's not even close, imo. There is no attention to detail, both sides of the ball are frequently confused and on different pages, self-scouting and situational awareness are completely absent on Sundays and there is no good answer at this point of the season. The player can sense it and as a result we are seeing multiple games with unfocused, unmotivated players. The only time they really get geeked is when the play rivalry games against opponents they personally dislike (Chiefs, Jets, Ravens), the rest of the season they have mostly been going through the motions. Unless they get younger at multiple positions and retool with an entirely new coaching staff, we are probably going to see more of the same going forward. -
Y'all need therapy, and I'm not kidding or trying to be mean The Bills are a very good team that is currently a M.A.S.H. unit on defense. We are 7-4. We have already beat teams that we will be fighting with for Wild Card spots. We're getting in. The Eli Manning Giants got hot and the right time AND lucky AF and got two rings against the GOAT coach/QB combo off of it. This was a very entertaining game for a neutral observer and the Bills had a chance to win it at the end. They pulled off a beautiful hook and ladder play to make it possible. Gabe Davis in-bounds or Dawkins doesn't jump and there's a very good chance of a W. Take a deep breath, schedule an appointment, and stop basing your happiness/self-worth on how a sports team that you aren't on performs.

you’re kidding right? Pegula ain’t firing Beane and McD this year, even if we miss the postseason -
I will when the condensed game comes out, but suffice it to say he could have, and should have thrown the ball away on every sack he took. That pick he threw straight in the first half into coverage was inexcusable. I don't think he read the defense at all. The final play looked really bad too, but I turned the TV off as soon as it happened, so I didn't get a second look. I'll watch it again tomorrow.
