  1. Past hour
  2. Seemed like the whole nfl quit on Douglas lol he didn’t get a shot until Miami lost multiple corners to injury after trading Ramsey. Douglas has been playing well though down there
  3. I think he’s mediocre. Oline has gone from elite to just good and it feels like he’s fallen off a ton. Guys like Josh/mahomes etc are a lot less oline dependent. Hell even dart looked like he could create on his own tonight and he’s only started like three games Imagine being such a losing franchise that you even lose the ‘factory of sadness’ label
  4. Eagles can enjoy this garbage while they can. Should have been banned last year, ban was voted for by the majority of teams. No way it survives this offseason.
  5. It’s crazy how big an advantage false starting on this play is too. Kinda makes my blood boil 😂 the big weakness of the play is completely neutralized because there just isn’t any penalty risk somehow haha
  6. Not saying you yourself were saying this, but a lot of people after last week were saying “we’re using Cook too much, let’s manage his load so we don’t run him into the ground before we really need him.” So Brady tries to do that and we get “where is Cook, we paid him so let’s use him!”
  7. Refs need to start calling this crap. I know it's almost impossible to see in real time but they can't be afraid to throw the flag. Then just make a rule change that pushing the ball carrier forward is a 45 yard penalty at next year's owner meetings.
  8. Pats dline kinda had their way with our oline which was a lot of the problem in this last one tbh…I think we’re getting a little over reactionary to that. When the oline plays as well as what you described the bills are pretty much unstoppable
  9. Hurts is the hardest QB in the league to evaluate. I was starting to buy in to the idea that he is a top 10 QB, but is it just as possible he's a bottom 10 QB? Whenever he's asked to just stand back and make normal reads it can look like a complete disaster. But also the two best games he's ever played both happened in the Super Bowl. He's a total enigma to me.
  10. That’s what made me say a toss up 🤣
  11. The sole purpose of the rule is to give people space to talk about a game they're watching, because if we don't, it will devolve into Bills bickering and annoy the folks who are there to get away from it. Once that game (week) is over, those folks don't need that space any more so I can't imagine they'd be annoyed by the thread turning into Bills discussion at that point.
  12. Pushing or pulling the ball carrier was a penalty until about 5 yrs ago. I don’t know why it was changed. It should be changed back. This is exactly what the Commanders did last year. Ref said if they went Offside again that he would award the Eagles a TD
  13. A quick comparison of the two coaches: Sean McDermott: 8-1/3 years as HC; 90-46 (.662 win %); playoffs 7-7 (.500 win %). Mike Vrabel: 6-1/3 years as HC; 57-47 (.548 win %); playoffs 2-3 (.400 win %). Head-to-Head record between the two coaches is 3 to 3; combined point differential of those 6 games is Buffalo +34 points. Now, before you respond with, yeah well you can't really compare records because Sean McDermott has had Josh Allen, let me remind you that he did not have Josh in 2017---and in 2018 and 2019, Josh was still very raw (not the All-Pro MVP QB he is now by a long shot), and the talent on the roster in all 3 of those years was not great (as we were rebuilding). But, yes, Sean has had 5 years of prime Josh Allen. Now, obviously, Vrabel has not had the quarterback play that McDermott has with Josh (I'm not trying to say that he has), but the QBs he did have were selected 2nd, 3rd, 8th, and 33rd overall in the NFL draft, so not total trash---even if they never reached their potential (Mariota, Maye, Tannehill, Levis). [And coaching/development can play into a QB succeeding or not as well.] But, if you think you can't really compare their records because of QB play, well then since they are both defensive coaches, how about looking at their team's defensive rankings: Sean McDermott Mike Vrabel Yds allowed/Pts allowed Yds allowed/Points allowed 2017 26 18 --- --- 2018 2 18 8 3 2019 3 2 21 12 2020 14 16 28 24 2021 1 1 12 6 2022 6 2 23 14 2023 9 4 18 16 2024 17 11 --- --- 2025 9 18 18 9 Average 10 11 20 13 Vrabel's best defensive rankings were in his first year. He took over a team that had gone 9-7 the previous year and who had made the playoffs, beating the Chiefs in the Wild Card round, before losing to the Patriots. So, he inherited a decent roster (it wasn't a rebuild). In that first year, he repeated the 9-7 record of the previous year (under Mike Mularkey), but Tennessee missed the playoffs. And last note I'll make to billsherd...is Vrabel the problem or is Derrick Henry the problem? In two of the three games that McDermott lost to Vrabel, Derrick Henry had 223 scrimmage yards, 5 TDs, 0 fumbles. We obviously have had issues with Henry no matter what team he is on. Also, two of the three wins that Vrable has over Sean were by 3 points each (the third was a blowout where Henry went crazy). Now, I'm not saying that Vrabel isn't a good coach, I'm just saying that he is not a coach that Bills fans should fear in any way (or believe to be superior to McDermott).

  15. You can say this about all of the great coaches in history. You can't win consistently without a good QB. On the other hand, coaches who've lost with very good QBs aren't all that difficult to find. Look at how Denver did under Wade Phillips with Elway. Compare Russell Wilson's results under anyone but Carroll. Philip Rivers never put up big win percentages consistently and it wasn't because he wasn't a great QB. Matt Ryan was up and down under different regimes. Dan Fricking Marino was on teams that were very inconsistent about win percentages. McDermott's consistency and win percentages aren't all on Josh, though he certainly Allen has a large part in it. It was pointed out above that he made the playoffs with Tyrod at the beginning of a rebuild. That was terrific coaching.
  16. Might derail into a we should’ve drafted blah blah blah like them, we should’ve called blah, challenged blah, practiced like blah, strategized like blah end of anything that happened in the actual game
  17. If first and goal from the 1 and they line up to do the push... the entire D go Offside at the same time crushing the guy in front of them. Half the distance. Then do it again. Then do it again. F that play
  18. Fire and Ice Think Skat would be fun guy to have in any RB room - or any room period 😛
  19. I've seen it numerous times, Allen gets like that when he's under pressure and can't find anyone open, this group hardly gets separation which was great to see Kincaid finally starting to show life and hopefully can start becoming Allens security blanket (although he's limited in practice go figure). Also why in the world would Joe Brady not use his most speedy weapon on passing downs in James Cook? This guy just got paid why the hell would we not utilize him? He should have design screen plays, bubble screens and put him out wide to open up things a bit, Joe Brady is really looking very unimaginative which is surprising since he had one of the most exciting offenses at LSU.
  20. I think teams should be looking at NT specialists for this play. Very large men. Sumo’s. These aren’t football players and they have no business on standard plays. But if you have the single objective of getting as low as you can and trying to not give ground I think those type of guys would be the hardest to push back.
  21. Cam Skattebo would have been a fun guy to have in the Bills RB room. Some guys are just football players.
  22. Have to give credit - the TNF post-game is usually entertaining - Gonzales notwithstanding 😛
  23. Sub out your LB and put in your OGs and get into a pushing match.
  24. Seems to me that bringing in Bills discussion after the game is over would give folks a chance make Bills comparison that have been running through their heads during the game, while still not annoying folks who are watching the game live and don't want to see that take over the thread. Let's make that a TBD cultural touchstone. Show me some thumbs whether you like it or not?
