Agree. Beane and the personnel staff appear to place a premium on high-character individuals who have a superior work ethic. I believe that's how they can make the most out of mid to low round draft choices (which translates into good value, bang for the buck). The Bills have done a phenomenal job of assessing raw players with untapped potential that the coaching staff is able develop into contributing members of the team. I'm really high on this rookie class, and won't be surprised if we see 7 or 8 make the final 53.

The first game of the season can be more of a crapshoot than later in the season, but I don't think that necessarily favors one team over the other. This game is similar to playing KC in that we've played them so much recently it feels almost like a divisional game. A bit concerned that Henry will be fresh since it's the start of the season, but I suppose our guys will be fresh too! Should be an excellent game. Go Bills!

I think it has more to do with his rocket arm than anything. He doesn’t lob the ball enough because he can throw on a straight line so effortlessly. IMO, that’s why they wanted Coleman in the draft. He’s a contested catch guy. He needs to put more touch on his deep throws and the rest will take care of itself.

Diggs is on the slow side of that graph too. It’s been far too long to give Josh a speed WR. It’s obvious to me, and a few other astute posters, that a speed WR would make Bills offense much, much better

My current dog is mostly an Australian Heeler/Australian Shepherd named Leroy Jethro Gibbs that answers to Gibbs. I found him at an Amish farm, but didn't buy him that day because I had a road trip to an event at RIT planned the next day. Somebody had texted me while I was on the road that I should name my new pup Jethro, which didn't impress me. Then on the way home, we passed the Thruway exit for Leroy, NY. Being a fan of the early NCIS, what else could I name my new little boy but Leroy Jethro Gibbs??? By sheer chance, naming Gibbs after the lead character in the original NCIS is a perfect fit because both have kind of "unique" personalities. In the case of my Gibbs, a lot of it is related to his genetic make up: he's OCD when it comes to balls (he will fetch balls until he drops, and he also hoards them); he hates rakes, mops, and brooms as well small wheels on baby buggies, lawn mowers, etc. trying to get them to stop; and he "smiles" when he meets his favorite people (a notable trait linked to Heelers). While Gibbs will chase squirrels and woodchucks, he's not a killer; he tries to herd them. He's also very vocal, letting the world know when he's unhappy, especially when he can't go everywhere I go, but also when he's playing with various squeaky or chew toys. He also takes his job as watch dog very seriously, not just at home, but at the local dog park, while walking in the neighborhood or in the park. The world is full of suspicious things like pigeons, flapping laundry, boats at the ramp across the street from the dog park, etc that he needs to warn me about. He also sings to sirens and joins his besties at the dog park in community howls.

The offense with the current WR group has proven to be a good offense. While an upgrade at WR would be welcome, Beane did the right thing in going all in to fix the defense this off-season as that is the real issue for the Bills not getting to the Super Bowl.

The Bengals defense was pretty bad last year. Unless they fix that side of the ball, I don't see them as a threat despite having a really good offense. Look at the year Burrow had and where did it get them. It's similar with the Bills, the defense hasn't held up their end of the bargain which is the main reason Allen hasn't played in a Super Bowl yet.
