they miss if one team from the afc west (not the division winner), south, and east finish with a better record. technically pittz or baltimore can finish with a better record than them in the north (and not win the division) but i just don't think that's likely. one of NE or us are for sure gonna finish with a better record, so it's down to the chargers (i'm saying broncos win the division) and jags, with maybe like houston and pittz/balti being a mega outsider. looking at the schedules coming up, KC has some tough games and does not look like they can run the table. I think they finish 8 or 9 and miss teh playoffs.

Win on Thursday and the playoffs are all but certain I think. I'm on holiday in Mexico too so I don't need to be up in the middle of the night to watch.

I kind of find it funny when people act like Kelce is about shot. He's 2nd in the league in TE receiving yards and is on pace for another 1,000 yard season. He's also healthy.

I don’t care about odds and favorites and all the mumbo jumbo! I’m going by what my eyes tell me and what my eyes tell me is our defense is broken and we can’t 100% say the passing game has been fixed! I can’t see how anyone would think after the Bucs game that all are problems have been solved…..that Dolphins game was just a week ago……that Falcons and Patriots games were not that long ago.

The rushing offense last week was suspect outside of Josh. Hopefully the OLINE can get right this week or else Josh is gonna face a persistent pass rush. Bills giving up way too many sacks this year (20 and counting). If Mills is the QB, that simplifies the LBs job as a spy is likely unnecessary.

Yeah, while I was pumped for them to lose to Denver, I told my wife that I have no interest in them picking in the top of the draft. Funny enough, we were just doing the math on the way home from the Tampa game that if the Bills lose the division there is a chance we still draw KC, Baltimore, Jacksonville anyways. Just like every other year.* (*I know we play the AFCW next year)

the 131 hours between 1pm sunday and when the texans game is over will basically decide if we are in a great position to take the division an still vie for the 1 seed, or are counting our blessings with tie breakers as we hope for a wild card spot. since miami we have turned the ball over 6 times (on like what, 125 snaps? that's an insane rate) and allowed nearly 400 yards rushing, and we have lots of key guys hurt or playing hurt. we are kinda (ironically) in our typical post season form already, so if we can overcome it then maybe the bright lights won't blind us again. texans is basically a must win.

just deal with this as a swing and a miss. no need to paint it otherwise.

With seven games left, I think people are really getting over excited and jumping the gun. Considering tie-breakers, they are basically 2.5 games behind the Chargers and 1.5 games behind the Jaguars. There are plenty of games left for them to makeup that distance.

Yup. I’ve never seen anything like that before or since. Houston KR f$$cked up because he didn’t know the rules, and nfl bailed him out. Id seen that exact play previously - a KR didn’t down the ball in the end zone — but instead let the ball loose in end zone while kicking team recovered. every time it was called a TD.

We hosted the neighborhood Christmas party that evening with about 70 guests. I watched the game in the basement, while a few people came down to see me like an animal in the zoo. I was not good company, and we are not hosting the party this year.

I am hopeful that this is the week that the defense has a coming out party. The Texans' defense is elite, but their offense is one of the worst in the league -- with or without Stroud.

if coleman were a 5th round pick he'd only have ever gotten spot duty. frankly, that might have made him a better player, he's a classic looks like a guy who can dominate but just can't play ball kinda guy. he has a chance to really embrace a smaller role and stay on the team, but i think that's a slim chance and he's likely gonezo.
