  1. Past hour
  2. Anyone remember when all TV was free? Where are my rabiit ears? lol
  3. Do you own stock in an NFL team or work for YouTube TV? You are on this crusade to prove that all these people illegally streaming an NFL product that the NFL chooses to make cost a lot and fragmented across many services are morally inferior to you and that people streaming NFL games illegally are a symptom of moral decline in society. It really isn't that deep nor symptomatic of anything larger other than this popular product has become much more inaccessible due to the fragmentation of media rights and the NFL's own choosing, so people use technology to pirate games. The argument that the cost of piracy gets passed down to those who pay for the service legally is very much disproven in this case. So you can't also say that this is something that gets passed down to regular consumers much like other instances of shoplifting. For many piracy is simply not because of an unwillingness to pay but rather convenience and simplicity. LeBron James whose own league gives him their version of League Pass for Free (and a man who is a billionaire) was seen during one of his sons high school games using Stream East to watch the end of a game during half time of his son's high school game. So there's clearly an issue with accessibility not only people just wanting a "free ride". It is not a societal issue that people don't really take any sort of moral issue with bootlegging NFL games despite the fact that it is technically stealing. In this case most people feel that it is a victimless crime (not in a literal sense) and that if the NFL cared about the issue enough they would probably have taken more money from ESPN to offer the product cheaper. If the NFL wants to try to take down streamers fine I don't have an issue with the NFL doing so. But don't make it out to be a bigger issue than it is because you are projecting something onto it that isn't there.
  4. I probably watch their selection more than anybody here. I see some of the so called experts are going through the same early season blunders that make them famous year after year. Never bet against the home team for the opener... https://www.espn.com/nfl/picks .
  5. Thats where I’m at with this. Don’t get upset at the person watching the illegal stream, that energy should be directed towards the entity that makes it available. Similarly, don’t get upset at the OnlyFans girl making $40M+/yr, as she shows off her extravagant house and cars. That energy should be directed towards the people (mostly horny men) who make her way of life possible.
  6. If you don’t believe that people can learn and grow in life and in their careers, you are missing some important stuff in life. Josh is better than he was 5-7 years ago, why can’t the same be true of others? I mean, other than your frustration blinding you?
  7. You told me that my moral compass was off cause you didnt like my answer to your hypothetical. Your crusading. Calling the watching of illegal posted streams "stealing" is super dicey though cause watching does not imply intent. If you go to a bar and watch the game but the owner put up the game from an illegal stream then are you stealing? not in my opinion (and again not in the opinion of the law) which is why watching illegal streams is not unlawful because it would be overly broad. As to morality, each person has their own experiences, beliefs, and values that shapes what they think is right and wrong. you can disagree, but not everyone is gonna be aligned on whats right and wrong thus the morality of something will have some subjectivity. there are some things very commonly shared as "wrong" such as stealing for personal gain (your example), while there are others that are more subjective stealing to restore what was lost. i think this example is more the latter than the former. You can tell people you disagree and try to persuade them to your cause but scolding them and saying their moral compass is way off is not really appropriate imo. So aladdin and Robinhood were in the wrong? you sound like a villain from a disney movie.
  8. Yeah, when I posted the topic I knew it would be like setting fire to a bag of poop on everyone’s doorstep! It’s interesting reading people’s views though.
  9. People want to make excuses and fancy arguments. Stealing is stealing. You know right from wrong, no matter how good youn are at justifying what you would prefer.
  10. Notice, I said “arguably”. Josh is definitely in the conversation and a legitimate case could be made for it. Swap Allen and Mahomes — give 17 Andy Reid, a competent GM, and elite receiving options and Allen would have 3-4 rings as well. Allen can do everything Mahomes can do. Mahomes cannot do everything Allen can do.
  11. Are Bills fans the most pessimistic fans in sports? Some of these pots are both comical and delusional. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost. If we do, I still think we get the 1 seed. I also wouldn't be surprised if we won.... "Hopeless" lol
  12. Damn that Tom Grossi script writer guy, he has it in for us…,
  13. I'm in survivor but pick-em says it's full. Can you expand it?
  14. This isn't for any surprise move. Allows Buffalo to function through the season with call ups and in season signings.
  15. Awesome. I wasn't going to post the Twas rendition this year. I've been thinking it's getting a bit stale. But this has got me pumped, so now I think i'm gonna do it. It's always been the night before the Bills play.
  16. Im not moralizing, I’m trying to be precise in our language. It is not making a moral statement to say that we should all use words with their universally understood meanings. People are co-opting words like steal, etc and using them in ways that are way different than in the ways we would all agree are wrong.
  17. 27-23 Buffalo makes enough plays on defense. Milano or Benard get a pick six on a tip pass. Confidence level is 4/10.
  18. I have not felt this hopeless about a game since the first KC playoff game 4 years ago. I still think they win the division and host a playoff game, but man, I am fully prepared to lose by 10 and then regroup the rest of the season.
  19. I'm not a maga guy, but the purely economic reality is that because of the tariffs, Russian oil is less desirable, and is forcing them to sell it at deep discounts, costing them billions. I doubt it's hundreds of billions, but it is a very significant number, and because that is all they have to sell to fund their war, it is not insignificant.
  20. Was Dungy the GM that build that team? Who gives a ***** if it fell apart after they won the Super Bowl? Did Gruden’s attitude destroy the team or is it impossible to keep an entire defensive unit together?
  21. We have the team and the culture we have, because of him. Remember the decades of futility and revolving doors of coaches. Sure, he has lost to the Chiefs, with depleted defenses and the same as almost every other team in the NFL.
