Game week thread - Buccaneers at Bills

Would absolutely love this. One thing that's been missing with Josh this year is the scramble drill. I feel him and Coleman were never on the same page. If there's one really good thing about Gabe, is him and Josh have good chemistry when Josh breaks the pocket -
I don’t disagree, he had games where he was hardly there but considering he had Diggs on the other side taking most targets I didn’t think he was bad. He put up I think about 850 one season and 750 his final year which is solid, especially considering it’s similar numbers to Shakir who seems to be beyond criticism yet just got paid 45m, and certainly Moore and Samuel who are both on course to get 200 if we’re lucky
-
crazy, we’re likely going to have 3 WRs active tomorrow that haven’t been on the field for the Bills in: 3-4 weeks (Palmer) 2 years (Davis) Ever (Hardman) Plus TJ Sanders making his return for the defense.

Lanyard Skynard has 0 number one hits. The Stones have 8 . The Beatles have 20.

What I said was that not resigning Hollins would be the straw that broke the camels back, "IF and it's still a big IF, the Bills fall apart and miss he playoffs". And I believe this and am not backing away one inch. If you want to play GOTCHA go ahead and have at it but at least use the entire sentence I posted to complain about whether or not I should have said "could" instead of "would".

Just make sure that they are widely accepted locally. My mom had fidelis for a while and we kept having trouble finding doctors in the area. Especially in certain fields, where it was almost impossible. She switched to Independent health and we really haven’t had any problems since. Now her plan is going away so she has to switch again. I was hoping to find her something else from Independent but that doesn’t look likely at the moment. I know Highmark blue cross/blue shield is pretty widely accepted in WNY. We have a few calls into different places that are supposed to help you sort through plans but none have even called back yet. I’m guessing these places are just overwhelmed. It seems like medicare made some pretty widespread changes for this coming year. Everyone we talk to is looking for a new plan.

Listen what Cosell says about our passing game. This is mostly on Brady.

Wow totally deserved benching but still surprising. Hopefully, Gabe can give us something. Nice to have Palmer back too.

He’s not very good and the rewatch was devastating for him. The effort was appalling and everyone saw it. They can send a message to the team and a young player. If he was good, they’d overlook it. This isn’t some conspiracy or scapegoating or anything of the sort. It’s a bad player, on a bad group, that’s struggling, getting benched. They’re going to try two different guys tomorrow and get Palmer back. They’re throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks. With the exception of Shakir, none of those guys should be guaranteed a jersey. Palmer is the best of the bunch and he’s a role player.

I was just throwing out a general price of a top deadline rental. Maybe they can get a bit more if there’s a bidding war, and there might be because his contract is so team friendly that more teams could fit him under their cap. He would also likely be the top player available at the deadline. But pending UFA’s just usually aren’t worth crazy prices and you are going to get future pieces, which is not what the Sabres need anyway. The only way you have any chance of getting back Tuch’s true value in a trade at this point is if he’s willing to sign a new contract as part of the deal. But why would he do that if the Sabres are trading him over a million or two per year, especially if what he says about wanting to be here long term is true.

Who do we want, who do we need as our next OC/DC?

That may or may not be the case but let's just say that it is the case. Now we can move onto the question of whether McDermott can change his stripes when faced with the fallout of clear and public offensive failure... 1) He's not stupid 2) He probably cares to preserve his job Do people really think he'll stick to his guns in this scenario? -
That was predictable, even before the announcement that both Davis and Hardman would be active. McD is trying his best to light a fire under the young man. Let’s see how he responds.

I keep thinking this may happen. Defenses have started to key in on stopping the run. This may become a thing again and Josh is really good at going through his progressions. I recall that Josh used to go through progressions looking at the deep WR first then work his way to the shorter routes. Don't think that's true in a Brady offense, but that could be something to watch for. There are so many ways to attack a defense we do have some speed. Wondering if a change really is coming. Something like this could wreck what defense practiced to stop all week.

100% expected this. Gabe isn’t anything special, but if he’s healthy, given his familiarity with Josh, it makes sense. There is nothing Keon does better than Gabe, and 17 needs somebody he feels he can trust out there. Between this and the Elam pick, somebody needs to be held accountable. Because if you’re going to whiff this freaking bad, while also not hitting a single 1st round pick not named Josh Allen out of the park in almost a decade now, you might as well be trading those picks for proven players like Jaylen Waddle, George Pickens or Micah Parsons. “But the cap”… then manage it better? Maybe don’t overpay to “resign our own” when you can’t draft worth half a 💩 in the first place.
-
This could be a straight up punitive thing but it has the whiff of something deeper. like, this staff doesn’t know how to use talent, especially on offense. they jam the guy in at wr 1, something he’s not suited for, and he, predictably, underperforms. Is this McDermott sticking it to beane or Brady scapegoating Coleman? Or is it as simple as Coleman stinks or is a cancer? It’s days of our lives at one bills drive.
-
We all know what Allen is capable of and from my perspective, I love him as the Bills QB and would not want any other. That said, there are ample examples this year of Allen struggling to make his reads, make the throws that are there, and executing the offense. The Miami game in particular. I do not know what the issues are with him specifically, but he is not playing up to standard. The Bills are going to struggle when that is the case. I am sure the answers to that conundrum are varied and complex but he needs to be better. Full stop. Does he lack faith in the offensive design? The receivers? His line? Has he lost confidence? I do not know. That’s why they pay the coaches and not the fans. The Bills offense starts and ends with Allen and he needs to be better. I am quite sure he would be the first one to admit it.

And even more elementary than that, you should understand the difference between the meaning of the words, "would" and "could." Also, you should understand the importance of owning what you say instead of weaseling out of it through equivocation and rationalization.

I think if you go back and listen to what McDermott has been saying the last 3 years or so you'll probably agree that this is ultimately the kind of offense he's been trying to create. Beane has been shopping accordingly. It's not an accident that we've arrived here. It may not look exactly how they drew it up but make no mistake it's by design -
