With them playing 2 rookies on the DL, and Bosa banged up only able to use one hand, that line is really suspect right now. I was wondering why no one was sealing the edges only to learn that they were forced to use Sanders (a 3 tech) as a DE in the rotation. Explains why he looked lost attacking blocks and setting the edge... Looks like we are going to have to outscore folks in a boat race for any real chance against the better teams out there. That is assuming we can get past NE. Like the ghost of bad Christmas past seeing that team arise out of the smoking ashes of what was left after the Belichick and Brady era ended.

Should we look to trade Keon after this season?
Kirby Jackson replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall
My feelings on Bishop are documented on here. He looked lost but had a high ceiling. His RAS was really high. He was worth the investment in case he harnessed the athletic upside. I do not usually have an issue with character concerns. For the right talent, you push it to the side. Diggs caused some headaches. They shouldn’t have been so quick to move on. Marshawn was immature but playing at a Pro Bowl level to start his career. That’s not like Coleman. If he had 1100 yards and 7 TDs as a rookie, we would look the other way on his immaturity. -
No, that's a fair take considering how rare it is to see returns beyond 40 yards. When you do that on EVRY kickoff, you have to wonder.

I'm sitting across from a famous poster by a Cuban artist (Aros): We met him in his studio and I quizzed him on censorship. He had plenty of art critical of the Cuban government. We also met some dissidents. I asked if they might be imprisoned for their work and they said it was unlikely but possible. I guess kinda like here, see Bolton, John and Comey, James. -
I'm heartened by the fact that it's not the case that the best team wins the SB every year. If the best team always won, we wouldn't have a chance at a Lombardi because our D mostly sucks and our O is inconsistent. But football is a funny game and anything can happen in a best-of-one series. Sometimes good teams have bad games. Sometimes injuries, bad ref calls, weird bounces, and all the other fun possibilities of the game allow the weaker team to win. We're good enough to be in contention and maybe the Gridiron Gods will favor us with some breaks this year.

They just give us more savvy veterans options out there that can find space or get leverage on DBs. Add Kincaid to the mix and remember that all three of your RBs have good hands, can be part of the answer at receiver, and are lethal in space and they could break this offense out of it's self-imposed phone booth operation. It's not like running 13 personnel is terrible, but we have to be able to open things up more to setup those heavier sets. Also they need Kincaid in the mix and probably Palmer as the X receiver over Coleman. -
Stroud has been slow to recover from a concussion. The last I heard he's still considered iffy for the Bills game considering it comes after a short week. We may be facing Miles Davis, who hasn't been bad in relief. I don't think he has Stroud's mobility though.

That's fair. I should have added a potentially obvious possibility: that poyer is playing better in practice (and games) than Hancock.

What were your thoughts on the always injured and seemingly football ignorant Cole Bishop back in September? Things change fast in the NFL. The Lynch comparison is apt, IMO, because his complete lack of accountability was a massive problem for a rudderless Bills team at the time. I was one of his most vocal critics but didn't advocate getting rid of him at the time. Like Coleman, he was put in a spot he wasn't mature enough to be able to handle. In both cases the Bills put the cart before the horse. -

As a little kid in the suburbs of Buffalo I was as much a Browns fan as a Bills fan. The first game I ever watched on TV was a Browns-Cowboys game with the Browns down by two scores. As a child of maybe 9, of course I rooted for the team getting stomped. And, sure enough, the Brownies came back to win. I was hooked on football and the Browns. I stayed a Browns fan until they moved the team out of the city in the middle of the night. But I remember Kosar well and appreciated the good Browns moments he created. It's a shame he ruined his liver with alcohol. Still, he's in my prayers. -

Wow, good for him, he's been through a lot. He was supposed to get a liver last week I think but something fell through. This one was successful, he's out and feeling good. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47001737/bernie-kosar-feeling-good-liver-transplant-surgery -
Does Mecole make it to next week?
BillsFanForever19 replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mecole won't be cut. There's video of him limping after the fumble, showing his sitting after the turnover wasn't a punishment: In McDermott's Post Game presser, he praised both Hardman for the 61 yard return at the beginning of the game and Beane for signing him. So he seemed pleased with what he saw from him, the fumble and drop withstanding: If he felt he performed so poorly that he needed to be cut, I have to imagine he would have focused not on the positive, but the negative. And ultimately, as others have said, one bad play and a drop in his first ever game since being signed to the active roster and playing less than a week removed from being on the couch, isn't enough to wash their hands of them. That said, he was a DNP at Practice today. So it's possible the calf injury may have him on the shelf this week. -
Depending who is on the board, if they have a quality safety to pair with Bishop, draft him. I think Hancock is ultimately being groomed to replace Taron. However, LB and WR seem like they will be higher on the priority list. Maybe Beane can finally hit on his first three picks in the draft! DL returns Groot, Walker, Sanders, Oliver and Hoecht. Resign Bosa and draft for DL. WR, S, LB
