I had a sign today from the football Gods
Dablitzkrieg replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think people are pretty ignorant to the process. People actually think you are going to walk around the city, looking for homeless pets and hand them a stuffed toy? These are resued/abandoned pets. They already have temporary food/shelter. Most are waiting to be adopted before being killed. -

Some people 🙄 Tell me, where is it going? -
No, KJ Hamler isn't making this roster. After Shakir, Palmer, Coleman, and Samuel - there's only really 3 WR's in play for the 53. Elijah Moore, Tyrell Shavers, and Laviska Shenault (only for his potential to be our Returns guy). If Moore doesn't make the team, than that means either one or both of Shavers and Shenault made it - depending on if we keep 5 or 6. I do think his speed, experience, return ability and familiarity in the building makes him a favorite for once again sticking as one of the 2-3 WR's on the Practice Squad. But the 53 isn't happening unless something catastrophic goes down between now and Week 1. I don't think SVPG is going to be put on Season Ending IR. He'll stay on the PUP list and they'll revisit the situation when he's healthy. When it comes to Hoecht and Ogunjobi, there's really no point in wondering how they'll make room for them now. Week 8 is a lifetime away in Football. And the odds that we'll have a completely healthy team and won't have a player or two that need to be made roster exempt by way of IR by then is unfortunately pretty slim. And I wouldn't be so quick to move Thompson off the roster. He offers a lot of flexibility as far as Outside, Inside, and even Big Nickel. He also provides a lot of experience and leadership to a relatively young LB core. And like you alluded to, we aren't particularly deep at the position. The only way I don't see him making it is if they decide to keep only 5 LB's and they aren't ready to move on from Olofoshio.

18 consecutive threads bumped. Some stats to ponder from those threads: In two threads homestain loser had the most recent 18 and 13 consecutive posts. When you take those two threads as 18/18 and 13/13 and in the other threads count the last 10 posts and the number of posts by shitstainbreath among those 10 you have: 132 out of the most recent 191 posts in the 18 thread shlit posting barrage are from Fuk.cStainHomeTime. A 69% clip. If this douche attempted half of that barrage on the main board he'd be vacation pretty quickly. Doing it once more after vacation would be a permanent ban. He does it here nightly. Those who complain about PPP being PPP should remember that.

What’s the moment you want most in old Highmark?
Scott7975 replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
My biggest moment would be Bills get the 1 seed and beat the Chiefs in the AFCCG to go on to the Super Bowl. -
Hopefully we’ll get to see them cut Hamlin.

Training Camp News - Around the League version
Richard Noggin replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can't have the convo without recognizing those numbers, of course. Then again, rookie QBs have been doing some things, statistically, lately. For those successful rookie signal callers, year two is where we might be on the lookout for regressions to the mean, or at least for DCs to catch up enough to better attack/illuminate underdeveloped elements of each QB/offense overall. Caleb Williams really should take a substantial step forward in 2025, given the serious, aggressive organizational overhaul around him (landing hottest offensive HC candidate and a legit, aggressive DC, while bringing in a new, improved vet interior o-line and other vital pieces up front and at skill positions--top 4 WRs are legit plus top 2 TEs are very dangerous, plus talented RB room, etc.). Williams is well-positioned for a major progression, one would easily assume if his jersey didn't say Chicago. **but then we look at Daniels' and Stroud's WR pipelines, wherein Daniels has older-but-dynamic starters and prospects going 3 deep for each WR spot, and average RB and TE rooms, while Stroud has WR DUDES and prospects but maybe cooked RBs and meh TEs (Lachay could eventually be something). And what about Bo Nix in Denver? McCarthy in Minny? Sanders in Cle? Ward in Tenn? Maybe Drake Maye in NE is gonna explode, if his offensive line lets him. PLUS there's Pennix Jr in Atlanta who has a little squad around him. Any room for Bryce Young in Carolina to continue to improve? The potential 2025 league impact of QBs on rookie contracts is more broadly intriguing than ever imho. How will those intriguing teams fare against the franchise QB tier of competition (KC, BAL, DET, BUF, PHI, CIN, GB, DAL, maybe LAR and/or LAC)? And which middling orgs (AZ, LV, CLE, SF, MN, NYG, NYJ, MIA, NO, SEA, TB, JAX) step up or stumble back? -
Did you happen to see him in a pet store?

Hello all! Coming up from the Philly area. Looking at some VRBO rentals. Are there any suggestions as to what area I should rent in?

That would be hysterical, actually.

No doubt, winning the AFCCG would be poetic for the organization, but I have so many fond memories in that stadium that will surpass that win. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be great. I’m just saying there are so many opening weekends, midseason, and freezing games that I have enjoyed so much. I am just glad my wife and I have been part of it. -
Yeah, there were parts of him (giving cred to Bills) that I really liked but it appears in general he’s an a-hole. You can’t let it go after the first comments?

What was your grandparents era? In 1975, which would be "grandparents era" for many on this site, the death rate from cancer was 200 per 100,000 people; it has slowly declined since the '90s to 140 per 100,000 people. This is partly due to earlier detection (see next point) and partly due to improved treatment and survival rates from a number of cancers. We can see that the rate of new diagnosis, on the other hand, increased from 400 per 100,000 people to 500 per 100,000 people in 1992 and has pretty much held steady. This would likely be due to increased availability of and recommendation to conduct screening tests, rather than an increase in the amount of cancer cases. I gotta say, woulda thought when you look up "Hard Knocks" in the dictionary, Spector's picture is right there.

I would like to visit section 335, row 2, and take a photo with my dad. He's 73. Long time season ticket seats growing up. Not sure if he'll remember the exact seats but I know it's that section. I'm planning on doing the NYJ game end of year and covering travel/ticket for him, and imagine we won't be the only fans wandering around during postgame. Also one last piss in the troth of course.
