Because he has never lived up to his potential and produces very little? Its like asking why would the Bills trade Coleman during a Super Bowl run - except Watson does have some talent. Im surprised OP didn’t mention Maxx Crosby. Id give up good draft capital for him and he is always rumored to be available.

Why would they ever trade him? They are gunning for a SB and he's a useful tool. Their current offensive production is a tick below last season's, and he's the sort of deep threat who can open things up underneath. Maybe he's still too injured to make that difference, but in that case the Bills should avoid him too. -
Watson is exactly the type of ho-hum player Beane loved to trade for. All the talent, none of the production.

I don’t think Christian Watson falls into this category. He really hasn’t done a lot, mostly because of injuries, and GB has drafted a lot of WR’s, and now they have a new first round rookie. I could see them getting something for Watson, because I don’t think they resign him.

It was your contention that the $376m was well spent on wallpaper and basketball courts, not mine. I was just thinking about the history and tradition associated with the WH tennis courts. It just seemed like a ton of money spent in our house, and that’s before it’s adjusted for inflation. I’d think there was more to it than just the very important basketball court, but I would definitely bet there were some well-connected corporations and individuals with ties to the party in power making a boatload of money on the remodel. I think the latest talking point offered, that current and future First Ladies/Gentlemen have to work on old card tables in an abandoned maintenance room with leaky pipes in the basement of the West Wing is pretty silly, to be honest. I’m not a big fan of Dr Jill’s contributions, but beyond that there’s a place for all.

If Watson could be had cheap I'd kick the tires. I wanted to draft him and while he hasn't delivered on his potential so far and has had issues staying healthy his skillset is the one we lack. -
Those are some good ideas that could be realistic. Watson has his injury issues, but I’m sure he could be picked up for a reasonable price. It feels like we need to make a move, especially at WR, or else we need to shift our play calling as many have suggested. As it is, Cook is our second best offensive player, and he needs to be used like that. I still haven’t gotten over the fact that we took him off of the field on 3rd and 1 and ran the end around sweep to a wr. If they wanted to be tricky, a play action to Cook would have done the job, everyone would be thinking it would be a run to Cook, and that itself wouldn’t have been a bad call either. Anyway, thanks for coming up with some different suggestions. I’m all for either.

I think the bigger issue is Beane. I would look to replace him first. I would look at organizations who have done well in the draft like the Ravens, Eagles as examples. Get someone from there who can put together a scouting staff that has done well with the drafts. Let the GM decide McDermott's fate. Does anyone here think Hurts is a better QB than Allen. He isn't but he has a ring because the Eagles have a strong team around him. Put more talent around Allen and the Bills will win a Super Bowl. The foundation of every team is built through the draft. Beane's drafts haven't been all that great.

Ah the old "teams around the NFL are lining up to send their best players to Buffalo" routine. -
out of curiosity what was done/needed? i'm having knee issues now. i'll need both knees replaced in the next 10-12 years. hips, too.

Time is a flat circle. I guess we have to re-learn the whole "gambling is bad" thing. It infects everything. I am this close to not watching football anymore. The league is in bed with Vegas. Didn't watch anything last weekend when Bills were on the bye. It's only a step above wrestling at this point.

Multiple arrests today. Maybe they arent done...

There is nothing good about 4-3. Nobody will be enjoying this season with lowered standards. Terry will probably do nothing if the season ends with another disappointment, but he really should think about cleaning house and bringing in a new FO. -

Don't forget Justin Jefferson. He can help too. -
I’m afraid this is just what McD’s teams look like. There are no magical adjustments coming.

Uh, yes. This year the #1 seed was well within reach. Easy schedule, weak conference, Lamar and Burrow both injured, KC starting 2-3. You couldn't possibly draw it up better than that. Even ending up the #2 seed would have been considered a failure given all those advantages. Falling out of the top 4 seeds entirely would have been unthinkable two months ago, even the biggest pessimists on here didn't predict that. It's not about the Patriots improving, which obviously was out of our control. Losing winnable games because of coaching errors and glaring roster deficiencies, that is the unforgivable failure. There's still time to make it happen but the margin for error is already gone.

Oh I dont disagree, just taking the chance to knock the Jets and the fact they may be just dumb enough to do it.

Well, the news of the day is obviously the gambling scandal rocking the NBA. I’m sure that we will see more and more of this as we move forward but this one is obviously HUGE. I just saw that Billups arrest is tied to a poker operation run by the mob. It’s bad when “poker operation run by the mafia” is a better outcome than “HOF player, now coach, arrested for gambling scandal tied to NBA games.” Imagine how much he could impact props?!? Lol, that just feels too convienent. I may have been born in the morning but it’s not this morning.

Christian Watson. Blazing speed with size. Will take the top off the D and open up space for Shakir and Kinkaid. Greenbay may be willing to trade. Question is can the bills affo extention similar to Shakir. Or can the Bills afford to Franchise him next yr. Defensively Dane Belton. Look what he is doing for the Giants. Always around the Ball. Big time tackler, ball hawk, high energy player. Also brings a ton to the special teams.
