  1. Past hour
  2. I feel that in this year's Draft the Bills will finally make a big move up for either a pass rusher or a WR. They have no A player at either of those important spots and need a stud somewhere. The Bills have to get younger and need a difference maker, not just more average to good players. I agree with GB that the OL needs to be re-tooled a bit. Dion is clearly in decline, but there are decent depth guys on the roster with which to work.
  3. Yep rare has been the occasion where we come out and it looks like we planned to do something specific vs an opponent -- ie, either mitigate their strength or exploit their weakness. We just go out and either match up or we don't and that's that.
  4. We have Josh of course. Despite their poor showing Thursday night the O line is pretty solid, and Cook is having a great year. Get Kincaid back and with Palmer and Davis back we can have a balanced attack again.
  5. We finally get a new stadium… complete with a semi-roof and heated turf that melts ALL the snow. Perfect. Because who doesn’t love the idea of Buffalo football without the one thing we actually enjoy
  6. Check the video that Einstein and Alpha posted in this thread and on this page with Emmanuel Acho breaking down the routes and protection It basically confirms what @Einstein saw
  7. I think my default "silver lining" (often overtaken by my complete Bills cynicism) is that the Bills could win it all even with the team and the cards dealt to them if they just got hot at the right time. They are flawed in several ways but with Allen, the X factor, that can sometimes be overcome . They have been close to doing this (2021) but slipped up at the most crucial stage (13 seconds). I know I'm dating myself here but when I think back on all the years watching the NFL (since 1979) there has been at least one team a decade who was as inconsistent as the Bills are now that somehow has put it all together at the perfect time. They would just have to win 4 games as WC team to accomplish this. These teams did it: 1980–81: Oakland Raiders–Super Bowl XV. 1997–98: Denver Broncos–Super Bowl XXXII. 2000–01: Baltimore Ravens–Super Bowl XXXV. 2005–06: Pittsburgh Steelers–Super Bowl XL. 2007–08: New York Giants–Super Bowl XLII. 2010–11: Green Bay Packers–Super Bowl XLV. 4/6 had great QB's. We have a great QB. The Raiders did it with a rejuvenated Jim Plunkett (who people thought was washed up. The Ravens did it with Trent (pick 6) Dilfer. The one thing that we lack compared to those teams (at the moment) is a solid defense. But get some of these guys back for January, make the WC round and anything can happen!
  8. I've lost count of the number of fans of other teams tell me Allen is easily--easily--the best quarterback in the league who has been criminally paralyzed by a) lack of receivers; and b) Brady. It's glaringly obvious to everyone on the planet except McDermott and Beane.
  9. Dominant road wins last year v the Seahawks and Colts happened after getting pushed around by Houston.
  10. I just call them bub, I say “hey bub or hey chief” or whatever
  11. yes in the playoffs they have a referee and a couple of the other crew members who have worked multiple spots waiting in the wings. I notice the ref in the Houston game, who is a University at Buffalo grad, has been working in the league since 2010 and has also worked as a side judge, line judge, and field judge.
  12. I think we also need to think about drafting a new left tackle
  13. If we fired the coaches this offseason, take our lumps next year and eat salary cap, we could be back in action for the 2027 season, Josh's age 31 season. We could be one of the youngest teams in the league again. Imagine Hairston, Bishop, Hancock and Walker as our defensive vets. Josh, Kincaid, Hawes, Shakir and Cook are the offensive vets. Other than these 9 players, our 53 is young and cost-controlled. Imagine a coach who is a great offensive playcaller and hires a great defensive coordinator... and both guys adjust at halftime! Imagine a young, hungry DL with a big 1 tech and dominant ends. Imagine JA with a stock of receivers drafted in 2026 and 2027, plus a bruising running back to complement Cook. Imagine a 50 TD season from Josh and a 15-2 record, a 1 seed, two home playoff games at the new pile. Imagine... It's fun to dream...
  14. It’s time to bring an O mind HC. HC and GM are peers at BUF. does anyone trust MickeyDermot input to big decisions? I don’t.
  15. Cowherd has been critical of the Bills coaching for awhile too. He thinks McDermott is a good coach but that head coaches need to be offensive minded in this day and age. The criticism is finally catching up to Beane who had evaded it almost entirely for years. McDermott rightfully gets criticized for not having what it takes to get us to the Suoerbowl. But Beane sits right along side of him as an anomaly in this league. Every GM that has been tenured longer than him has been to a Super Bowl. He made two good moves in his tenure, drafting Allen and trading for Diggs. He stopped making big trades, his one big FA signing - Von -didn’t work, and his one top 10 pick post Josh has been just ok (both big Defensive splashes of course). Too many misses, not enough swings. Not f’ing things up too bad can keep you around for awhile, but not hitting on enough should get you canned.
  16. If Tony Danza isn't in it I'm out.
  17. I have spent years KILLING this defense and specifically the coaching of it. We never make stops, can’t stop the run, every QB has all day on third down and every physical team blows us backwards off the ball for 3 hours. The defense is why we haven’t won a Super Bowl. The defense is why we have lost in the playoffs every year. The defense is why I felt we can’t win this year. All of that is because the guy coaching the defense is beyond useless. He has one job and sucks at it. He plays the wrong guys, the scheme has been since figured out and the stubbornness is crippling. The offense has earned the benefit of the doubt 10x over and as long as we have Allen we will always be good enough to make a run on offense. The defense is the thing that holds us back. I’m the #1 loudest guy about how TERRIBLE our defense is and has been…… silver lining The defense was good in that second half. Once Bernard went out. (Sucks for him. Seems like a good guy I never wanna see a guy get hurt. Hope he is ok I’m not a POS) The best thing that ever happened to this 2025 team was getting 45 and 58 on the field together. It sucks that it took an injury to get the good guys in but we are here. If we could ever get Tarron Johnson out we might have something. Against Carolina and against Houston post Bernard were the two times I felt good about our defense in years. If we can stop people, we can win this whole thing. The offense will figure it out. The offense will be fine. If we play Thompson and Milano, we might have something here. Bernard and Tarron Johnson have been killing us for months. IMO the single most important event of the Bills season might have happened in that second half against Houston. Hate it for the reasoning but we are here now. And it might have saved us. God knows the coach was never going to do it on his own.
  18. I did just notice that Denver, which has allowed only 2 sacks all season, has their C and LG playing on contracts for just around $1MM per year.
  19. I’ll definitely watch it at some point. I’m sure that it’s terrible. If the Bills are involved I watch regardless of how bad I know it’s going to be.
  20. A lot of people didnt like Jim back in his playing days. Actually a lot of people outside Buffalo hated the Bills and rooted for them to lose. I was a Kelly fan because he backed up the arrogance/bravado with his play and leadership. I still say that he throws a nicer touch pass than Josh does (esp deep). In short he was a special QB to watch. Never heard of the personal bad behaviour of Jim towards his wife or people in the Western NY area back then but remember that was pre internet and anecdotal stuff (combined with damning videos and audio) didnt really exist for another 10-15 years. I did hear from people who were connected to the team that the Bills loved to party back then. Something that I can personally attest, to seeing Bruce Smith at the Late Show in NFalls about 1AM on a Saturday night during the season. However in Bruce's defense, I think it was during the 1990 season and he was possibly injured. In the end judging Jim harshly seems a bit ridiculous considered the personal pain that he suffered with Hunter's condition and his own battles with cancer. That guy has been through a lot.
  21. Bingo! I was surprised by the complete lack of adjustments to Houston's defense, as amazing as that defense is. I kept thinkiing they will adjust with quick throws, as opposed to the long ball when you have no time in the pocket, perhaps, a few well-executed screens. etc. But, we got zilch in terms of adjustments even after half-time. The coaches messed up big time first in terms of: (a) complacency; (b) preparing for a super, but somewhat predictable defense; and (c) making appropriate adjustments based on what they were seeing on the field.
  22. Brandon Beane looks so incompetent right now after the beatdown of Josh Allen on national TV. Mercole Hardman was his solution. Who is Josh Palmer?
  23. There’s several teams over the years that don’t appear to be special, but get hot and make the SB. They may not win, but teams have gotten there. Gotta get in the tournament though.
  24. The national media is turning on the bills mgt now. Something the locals can’t do as they need access and jobs. That’s a big shift.
  25. I think that the coaches see it but can't do anything about it due to the lack of talent at WR. There is nothing they can do about it at this point in the season. If the Waddle stuff at the trade deadline was true then Josh Allen has every right to be livid.
  26. ..........we're still in play for a WC spot
