Our best unis! This bodes well for a W this Sunday.

Two picks for Shaheed is an easy no. Jax paid that for myers because they had like 12 or 13 picks or something crazy like that. The best asset Shaheed would have brought to the team, and the team needs it, is his return abilites. By having him as an active wr and the return man the team could cut codrington. Then on gameday Shaheed just plays that role and no one else does. That can give you an extra player somewhere else like DT or CB where the team has constant injuries. Codrington has been inactive a lot I think for that reason alone. I will say though Ray Davis looked very good returning kicks sunday and I bet he does it again this week unless Cook is inactive or something.

Hot Take: “Old Joe” Flacco exposing what some (including me) suspected…
Luka replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watched Joe during his run at LSU and a lot in the NFL. Joe Burrow is elite in the way QBs used to be. Anticipation, arm strength, extending plays, reading defenses, he's near the top in all categories. I think you also seem to forget that Flacco has a ring, the guy was and (sometimes) still is, elite. Joe's downfall is a fairly poor offensive line and his willingness to stay in the pocket to create the big play backfires on him. If Cinci's line looked like Buffalo's you would not be making this post. -
Yep. Home game

If the goal was to win a SB this year at all costs then we'd have mortgaged the future for Hoecht and Oliver replacements. The subtext is fans want to see Allen throw the ball more, and possibly that they don't understand you can't win a SB without a balanced roster.
-
People were bagging on that signing, but I mean I look at this dude playing on teams with revolving trashcans at QB his whole career and the man puts up decent numbers, has 4.3 speed, there has to be more that we can do to get him involved in those type of plays. That's why I don't think it's necessarily fair to say we "need" a WR, I think we just need to choose to use the ones we have differently and take advantage of their abilities in certain areas of the field more. There is no reason why Moore couldn't be more of a weapon in the intermediate and long pass game. I mean are we trying to pull an Andy Reid, play close to the vest in some areas and save that for the playoffs like the Chiefs did to us? Are we going to see Air Allen in the playoffs and try and catch teams off guard, specifically the Chiefs if we play them?
-
Totally disagree. This is the NFL, on any given Sunday any team can beat any other team. Certainly if rest them if it makes sense but NOT because you think Miami is a cak walk., sends the entire team the wrong message and sets us up for the feared "trap game".

I am excited about the potential upside of DT Phidarian Mathis

Hoecht was here for 2 games and Oliver is hurt every year. KC scored once in the second half. Needed a 4-17 to accomplish that. Without both guys. I think the defense will be ok. Does it suck? Yes. -
Crazy curveball I’ve been thinking about all day…as nonsensical as the timing of the trade was the cowboys definitely got better and play the chiefs and the chargers still 😂. Kinda funny the way that worked out. Chiefs should still win it but it went from no chance they lose to any given Sunday I’d say
-
Is he through? He has been a #3/4 his entire career. This year he is getting fed targets, but I wouldn't call him a difference maker. He is worse than Josh Palmer in almost every core stat. He wouldn't be a slot guy over Shakir. So you are upgrading from Coleman to Shaheed. Is that really worth the investment? If it was a 5th only, sure. But I wouldn't give up a 3rd to bring him in.
-
He got High-Lowed and bent back really violently. We are lucky he didn't get a high ankle sprain or worse. Cook doesn't need to practice. They can give him rehab all week and he can play on sunday. I Imagine that is what happens.
-
I 100% want you both to be correct. It would be entertaining to see the meltdown if the Colts came out of nowhere to win a Super Bowl, however. I think somebody should bet $5k that they win it all, without mentioning it to the wife. It could take some of the sting out of not winning it….again.
-
Because we were focusing on Shakir, Kincaid and Cook. We haven't been doing that to the extent we did against KC. I would love to see Moore be more involved and I think if the offense stays on this trajectory, he will be just from the coverage leaving him more 1 on 1 opportunities down field.

Just for the heat factor.

2021 I believe…they lost to cincy in the divisional after the bye…2020 they did win the division and lose in the WC in Lamar’s first playoff win so pretty similar
-
Serious question how good are 7-2 AFC teams (and LAC at 6-3)
shane nelson replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we dont win the division, we will play all of our games on the road. A very hard hill to climb -
4th and a 5th is steep I’m probably more interested in seeing Moore/Davis play more outside over Keon than pulling the trigger on that for trade for Shaheed.
-
Brady did have a hand in on the most prolific passing offense in college history. When he came to Buffalo and was elevated to OC, I assumed that was the direction we were headed. Boy was I wrong. 🤣
-
Why can't we get Moore or Samuel open more like we did against KC on that one play? Both have the skills and speed to get open on those type of plays.
-
Bosa was holding his wrist after every play Sunday. Concerned he got injured and just played through it on adrenaline and whatever else. Hope it’s not serious but wouldn’t be shocked if it is because we’re not allowed to have nice things.
-
You've constructed two false dichotomies here: 1. WR targets being result of scheme vs. talent (i.e. what about injuries, or TEs/RBs operating as WRs???); 2. (presumably) that we need more WR targets/production to win at the highest levels. I reject both premises. Further, I'd argue that that if our goal was to mortgage the future to win this year, we'd have sold out to replace Hoecht and Oliver. Those injuries are devastating to our SB chances, and yet no one is really talking about them which to me says a lot about priorities of the "moar wr talent" crowd.

It's Wednesday. If Cook isn't practicing by Friday I'll be a bit concerned.
