  2. Hmmm....Wrist injury. Is Bosa Married?šŸ¤”
  3. Having a real playmaker on the outside makes the offense better in critical moments. I don't think that this is a point anyone should be arguing against. I will say however, that a lot of the passing game "issues" lie within the scheme and the play calling. We have playmakers. Shakir finished 2nd in yards of separation last year and is currently 6th in the league. And we know how lethal he can be once the ball is in his hands. We have Kincaid who is 1st in yards after catch amongst tight ends, Allen's passer rating is 158.1 when throwing to him. And we have Cook, who really needs to see more usage in the passing game. Coming out of college he was considered an elite pass catcher with high level route running. He was Georgia's 4th leading receiver, which considering he was splitting time with 3 to 4 other running backs, was impressive coming out of college. I am fairly confident in my assessment of the offense because the Chiefs game we saw significantly more emphasis on Shakir, Kincaid and Cook. And the offense looked arguably the best it had all season. Going forward, this is the formula. The "everybody eats" mantra was cute and a way to take a shot at Diggs, but in reality, the ball needs to be put in the real playmakers hands. Only then do things start to open up for other guys as the defense is forced to adjust to stop the bleeding, so to speak.
  4. Not to worry tho! We still have "Dolphin" Kincaid healthy šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQnMXZHkiDX/
  5. That comes out to 4.8 carries per quarter over a full season. That doesn't seem crazy to me for RB1
  6. I 100% agree and have always thought Burrow was overrated. I'm not saying he's not good or even great, but he's a true "system" QB, whereas I think you could plop Allen, Mahomes, Jackson, and probably Herbert onto any team in any system and they would thrive.
  7. Bills now #1 in ESPN power rankings. So we got that going for us.
  8. I guess I went from 1 straight to 4.. His loss depressed me as I feel it hurts the chance to win the SB. Just as with the Von Miller signing, a great plan derailed by a huge injury. Of course the Bills can win without him, but he made a huge positive difference. He was even calling plays in his 2nd game! So hey, if the depth guys can make a difference, I'm all ready for step 5 ha ha.
  9. GLP-1's have begun sponsoring athletes evidently lol
  10. Or in this case "Crow" Brady-ish...and he is also carrying "Grape" Davis, "Thermos" Thomas and "Fax" Hairston along with his cousin "Wax" Hairston to safety! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQnMXZHkiDX/
  11. I agree, but I still hold out faint hope that bringing Eli Ankou back for the 39th time would be the charm
  12. I laugh as I wonder if this is a sly comment about my age because I remember enjoying watching Dan Fouts play quarterback. And, indeed, teams back then tended to defend the run first. Now teams defend the pass first and have gotten very sophisticated about it. It's hard to throw deep these days. Still, I don't count Brady as an elite pass X-and-O guy. Fouts was blessed with Don Coryell of "Air Coryell" fame as his HC (and the solid Ernie Zambese as his OC). In my lifetime, I'll probably never see a QB as talented as Josh under center for the Bills again. It would be great if he were similarly paired with a pass-game genius. "Air Brady" isn't a thing.
  13. Agreed. Honestly I hope Ryan Nielsen has been working closely with Landon Jackson over the last several weeks and he improves because he's going to need to start playing, probably this week.
  14. Cook will likely do everything he can to suit up. He’s a South Florida boy and will want to show out in his hometown.
  15. He’s a proven difference maker
  16. Don't knock it till you try it!
  17. As much as we want to complain, at least we aren't the 49ers. There's a 100% injury rate in the NFL... I just want the season enders to impact players to stop happening like they have the last 2 weeks with Hoecht and Oliver.
  18. Hoecht was to help big time to stop the run. He was a total beast in the 7 quarters he played. He and Oliver are now gone. Just like when Von Miller was brought in to close games. It was all intelligent plans by Beane and the Bills brass, but injuries derailed it.
  19. I like Shaheed, and he may have been an upgrade, but I'm not sure he was worth a 4th and 5th as a rental. It's pretty steep, especially if he isn't a proven difference-maker.
  20. The legitimacy of the court is at stake also. This is so obviously unconstitution and making it constitutional basically means the constitution is just whatever Trump says it is Justice Gorsuch warned of ā€œa one-way ratchet toward the gradual but continual accretion of power in the executive branch and away from the people’s elected representativesā€ in Congress. So stupid
  21. If the pats weren’t breathing down our necks we’d probably have that option but I don’t think you can risk it here. Division record is gonna be huge. Pats and bills should both end up 4-0 against everyone else and if the bills win the rematch with them it gets pushed to conference record where the bills have a pretty big edge at the moment. Dropping a surprising one against Miami probably blows the tiebreaker for good if it was the jets who just traded away a lot of their team maybe we could get away with it but Miami still has a little bit of juice
  22. Not to mention, I expect Shaheed to get paid. He signs a big contract, that’s a comp pick. If you can’t resign him, you get comp pick. So true deal is a 3rd for Shaheed and 4/5.
  23. Well, Beane did find Shakir in the 5th round (not saying you'd hit on every WR drafted rounds 3-5, as far as odds, but there are guys out there): Shaheed (6'0", 180 pounds---4.43 40-yard dash time) 3-1/2 years played; 28 starts; 138 receptions on 216 targets for 2,055 yards and 12 TDs. Catch % 63.9. Suc rate 48.6%. yds/rec 14.9; yds/target 9.5. Shakir (6'0", 190 pounds---4.43 40-yard dash time) 3-1/2 years played; 28 starts; 163 receptions on 214 targets for 1,992 yards and 10 TDs. Catch % 76.2%. Suc rate 56.1%. yds/rec 12.2; yds/target 9.3. Pretty similar guys. Sure, maybe Shaheed is better at deep sideline catches, but Khalil is better at screens, stuff over the middle (short and intermediate), and YAC. Plus, it's not just the 4th and 5th round picks, or 3rd round pick (if you are looking at it that way), but Shaheed was still owed $2.125 million dollars this year, and he is a free agent at the end of the season. That's a lot to give up for a 10-12 game rental, unless you are sure that he can help put you over the top. And if you do resign him, you are probably going to over pay for him. Now if you draft a rookie in the third round, you have him for at least 4 years on a rookie salary. A lot more goes into it than just how good the player is.
  24. Beane is basically as good in the mid rounds as he is in the early rounds - should have given up a 1+ for Waddle or Olave.
  25. Cook is on pace to have 325 carries for the season. He is not a large guy. I know his smooth running style and body control prevents him from taking a lot of big hits, but he is getting too much work imo. The problem is the Bills entire offense is so extremely reliant on him. If it feels difficult to remove him from the field because there is such a drop off, then it calls into question another area of roster building and depth where Beane deserves scrutiny.
