Mustache man is going to try to knock the **** out of Allen Patriots coach Mike Vrabel says he loved the hit linebacker Christian Elliss put on Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart on Monday night. And Vrabel knows whatâs good for the goose is good for the gander. Vrabel said on WEEI that he also tells Patriots quarterback Drake Maye that quarterbacks are fair game when theyâre running along the sideline if they donât get out of bounds. Elliss drilled Dart while he was still inbounds, and it was the kind of good, clean legal hit that Vrabel knows his own quarterback will take if he doesnât protect himself by stepping out of bounds. âWe show that to Drake and our defenders are being coached the same way,â Vrabel said. âWhen I say [to Maye], âWe better not get cute over there by the sideline because this is legal,â I turn around and tell the defense, âIf this is happening, we need to try to knock the ***** out of him as legally as possible.ââ The Patriotsâ defense hit Dart hard multiple times, and Vrabel loved to see that. âI thought it was good. I thought it was excellent,â Vrabel said. âIf youâre in bounds and youâre not sliding . . . If thereâs a football player running down the sideline weâre gonna have to hit him.â

I cant agree with the premise of this qualifying as a top defense. If you had a 'top defense' and the defense was the cause of your playoff exit (not the offense), then you never had a top defense. Amplify this across multiple years - the defense being responsible for basically 80-100% of your exit's... then you have an even better sample size. 'It could be worse' is not the same as having a top defense.

If we beat the Bengals, weâre winning the AFC
harryS replied to No_Matter_What's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you're quite overrating Cincy off the win at Baltimore, where the Bengals needed 5 turnovers from the Ravens to pull it off. The Bengals defense stinks, and the Bills 4 losses have come when we score 20 points or less. The game at Cleveland against Myles Garrett and company (who play great D at home) might even be tougher. -

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2025/12/02/trump-hegseth-rubio-ukraine-venezuela-boats/ Marco Rubio, who is secretary of state and Trumpâs national security adviser, seemed to be neither when the president released his 28-point plan for Ukraineâs dismemberment. The plan was cobbled together by Trump administration and Russian officials, with no Ukrainians participating. It reads like a wish-list letter from Vladimir Putin to Santa Claus: Ukraine to cede land that Russia has failed to capture in almost four years of aggression; Russia to have a veto over NATOâs composition, peacekeeping forces in Ukraine and the size of Ukraineâs armed forces. And more. Rubio, whose well-known versatility of convictions is perhaps not infinite, told some of his alarmed former Senate colleagues that the plan was just an opening gambit from Russia â although Trump demanded that Ukraine accept it within days. South Dakota Republican Sen. Mike Rounds, a precise and measured speaker, reported that, in a conference call with a bipartisan group of senators, Rubio said the plan was a Russian proposal: âHe made it very clear to us that we are the recipients of a proposal that was delivered to one of our representatives. It is not our recommendation. It is not our peace plan.â Hours later, however, Rubio reversed himself, saying on social media that the United States âauthoredâ the plan.

He was open for one reason and one reason only. Jalen Ramsey overreacted to Josh taking 1 step towards the line of scrimmage. Looked to me like that step baited Ramsey into selling out to stop him vacating his area of responsibility, leaving Keon wide. Ramsey shouldâve stayed put and let the trailing DBs attack Josh. Easy 6.

this is such a false equivalency but it's in this thread so frankly unsurprising last yr in our elimination game we averaged 5.5 yards/play and scored 29 on offense. our regular season averages were 6.0yards/play and 30 ppg. so maybe a bit underwhelming. our defense meanwhile allowed 5.5 yards/play to the Chiefs who had averaged 5.1 yards/play in the regular and 32 points when they had averaged 22.6 during the regular season the yr prior in our elimination game the offense averaged 4.7ypp and scored 24. our regular season averages were 5.7 and 26.5, respectively. our defense somehow managed to allow an astronomical 7.7pards/play to the Chiefs offense who had averaged 5.5 in the regular season and gave up 27 points when the Chiefs had averaged 22.

BuT hE iS a PlAyMaKiNg DiFfErEnCe!1! Dude doesn't play. maybe he will pan out over the career arc in 3-4 years it'll be different but it was a dumb pick at the time and it is a dumb pick now. luxury pick that was wasted. just awful. it's great when he can make a big play and shows up to help win but when he doesn't play we are missing a major part of our offense. for those coming at me with the statement that we didn't know he would be injured.... that's not the point. the point is that we did not need the position. we needed a WR, a safety (contingency for Poyer and Hyde departure in this complex defense), and linebackers (remember, at the time we did not know if Bernard would be a successful starter and he was and is undersized). i'll never like this pick even if he goes to the HOF. -

The #1 Key To Buffalo Going On A Playoff Run

My number 1 key James Cook running the football. James Cook catching the football. -
It doesnt take anywhere near as drastic of an example for this to be true, but yes you are 100% correct. Give this years team an high-end #2 (Waddle, Tee, Ladd, Zay Flowers, Addison, Devonta Smith) and even mediocre - above average OC (2021 Daboll comes to mind as a good example), and we are by far the run away odds favorite to win it all this year. I fully understand chances are we'll never have an elite #1 here with Josh ever again...... the ask is reasonable to be able to add a similar type of player)

Only 3 more games left at the RalphâŠ
JĂy RĂĂeĂ replied to Awwufelloff's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been at so many games there, starting with the first one. Been a season-ticket holder since 1987. Was at 51-3. Was at The Comeback (and stayed). Attended every playoff game except the covid year. But my favorite experience was the snow game vs Indy. -
Knox is also wide open. You could make an argument they probably score on a throw to cooks too since its cooks + blocker vs. 1 defender, since 29 and 22 both chased keon. Pretty good example of when the rush and the coverage don't match up. My GUESS is one of 29/22 has cooks in motion - and the other has keon. They ended up both chasing keon thinking the other takes cooks.

8th In "D" - 2nd in "O"!?!?!
machine gun kelly replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall
So I think I havenât posted this yet, but if so my apologies. Heres a relatively simple breakdown. OFFENSE Yards - #2 Passing - #10th Rushing- #1 Points- #5th DEFENSE Yards- #8th Passing- #1 Rushing- #30th Points- #13th So interpret how you want, as itâs not a secret. We suck against the run, the pass defense is good, but partially because everyone runs on us. We run the ball well on offense, and maybe Kinkaid, and Cooks can make a difference in the passing game. I welcome any input as I like many of your opinions. -
Looks like we will be rooting for some roots

This reads like a made up stat to make Beane look bad. Beane spent a 1st on Diggs, a 1st on Kincaid, and used his first pick one year on Coleman. While Beane has been struggling w WRs since the Diggs debacle, he did bring in A Cooper and tried for Waddle. I would anticipate Beane making a huge effort this offseason to bring in a name WR.
