Game week thread - Bengals at Bills (flexed to 1pm ET)

Not sure our pass rush, or lack thereof, really matters much this week. Burrow is one of the fastest qbs to get the ball out. I'm more more concerned for the secondary -
Beebe didn't play. He got hurt in the week 16 Miami game. Al Edwards replaced him.

I had a conversation with my daughter during a game after he did something ridiculous, telling her to enjoy this, savor it, pay attention to every little bit, because the odds of us seeing this in Buffalo again are somewhere between slim and none. -

What I'd give to have Bruce in his prime on this team. A guy that size moving that quickly and with so much power... I've never seen anyone like that, except maybe Myles Garrett. Thurman and Kelly were amazing, loved Biscuit, Talley, and Reed, but Bruce was on a different level altogether. If there was a HOF for HOF players, he would be in it. -
3 Pittsburgh Steelers 2 Bills fined for last Sundays game

Because it wasn’t dirty enough for a fine. Penalty should have been called though. -

Seeing this reminds me of why I so desperately wanted the Bills to draft Mahomes in 2017. I was one of the only Bills fans in Lubbock, TX (as far as I knew), and I knew the whole city would become Bills fans overnight. I would've went from nobody caring about the Bills, to having an entire slice of West Texas carved out as Bills country. But now Lubbock is predominantly Chiefs fans... 🤮 Imagine being a Bills fan from Wyoming or graduating from the University of Wyoming, now with most of the state being Bills fans. Probably feels special, especially when Josh Allen comes back to visit. Love our QB, and glad the people out there have been converted to the light side! -
Stafford probably Matt Ryan potentially 😂😂nah very few liked Pickens

Same folks Already said Maye is HOF. They said Mac Jones was too.

Saw an indiana fan today at the farmers market. She was very confident her team has what it takes to win today. Her husband was not. He was a Purdue fan. (Also saw a woman who had a sabres credit card I noticed when she went to pay; her husband pulled his card too and paid - Bruins fan) -

Yeah.....we need him desperately, but we need him more for the Playoffs. The problem is, we have a long way to go to clinch a Playoff spot so we need him now too. But he isn't healthy and you risk putting him out long term if you rush him back. There are not right answers here, I'm afraid. Just an awful year for injuries. It's just not injuries, but it's bad injuries to many of our key players. Frustrating. -
I am sorry I don't buy that. He needs a good team around him to do it, sure. But Dak in the right circumstances could win a Superbowl. Joe Flacco did. I don't think the gap between Hurts and Stafford and Dak is big.

He took what looked like a wicked hit by the sideline against the Steelers and I honestly thought he would be taken out with a concussion but on the replay it was clear Josh was doing some of his acting to try and get a flag. The aspect of his game I dislike is the play acting and flopping. He's got a real rep for it now and the guys on WGR were suggesting it might be why he's getting less calls. The boy who cried wolf and the refs are treating all the hits as acting now

Have you ever called plays? Specifically on defense or pass blocking schemes for the OL? -

It's not just spending time on the field. It's the complete refocus of what's important in people's mindsets. IMO, it's a direct result of fantasy football mindset. If a guy doesn't show up on the stat sheet, fans view him as worthless. Praise will be heaped on James Cook for his great season (and he deserves it) but will advocate for cutting Reggie Gilliam, who has cleared many paths for him. -
Giants D - Super Bowl XXV

You people have PTSD!! I am not trying to dredge up discussion of that game! (But perhaps I should have realized I would). I am saying, given our shorthanded defense, we need to really mix it up to generate some stops (because I think we are unlikely to get many if we sit in our base nickel). Giants were the best example I could think of where a D played outside its usual structure to throw-off a lethal offense. -

Doesn’t feel like Kincaid is 100% even if he is back. Not sure how to feel about it as we’re a different offense when he plays but don’t want him gone for the season either. tough spot.
