Weren't drives 6 and 7 the fumble and the Int, so not many snaps those two series anyway? -

I agree with Sal Capaccio on the hit being the turning point but not due to a lack of effort. Instead he posed it as the team feeling uneasy and overly cautious not to make mistakes. Once the hit happens they stopped thinking about that and instead focused on kicking Steeler’s ass. -
Do you believe the WH will walk the statement back? I don't. We'll see. If either the senate or the house committees find the actions illegal,, they'll likely send it to the military courts. As we've illustrated, there are many military legal experts that disagree with you. It's not as cut and dried as you make it appear. At the very least, it's a complex issue.

A Few Thoughts about the Steelers Game - Community Edition
UConn James replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can we erase the WR screen behind the line of scrimmage to Shakir from the playbook, please?! It hasn’t had a completion in weeks. Teams are thoroughly on to it. And Shakir has been uncharacteristically droppy the last several including one catch on five targets yesterday. What the hell is going on? Brady all year has just been like and it's getting infuriating. This gameplan will not work for any other team in the league but he's so unimaginative and so unchanging that this is what he'll do and McD will allow. As for what's going on in Josh's head. Same. He's just not the same dude. I dunno if he started believing the hype. Or if it's the life changes and commercial distractions. If someone got into his ear about his playing style. Or an injury he's hiding again.... But he just looks entirely disinterested when he goes and sits on the bench and looks at his tablet after every bad drive, INT, etc. If guys are messing up, captaincy and leadership is sometimes speaking to or even calling guys out when they didn't do the right assignment. Or rouse up your teammates in important moments. But there he's been all season, glued to the end of the bench with his face in a screen or just staring into space. There were signs of a pulse in the second half yesterday, at long last. How do we make that happen again / more? -

You are just jealous of WNY weather. Buffalo is where winter goes for the summer. -
The Bengals do have a few extra days to go over Bills tapes and watch the Steelers game. So it is reasonable to guess that they may have plan A, B and C to stop our running game. It is an advantage to them -- if you have less talented, you need to scheme more and for that, the more time available the better. On the other hand, the Bengals are 0-10-1 coming off a Thursday night game, which includes the latest rendition of losing to the then winless Jets by 1 point on Oct 26. Let's hope that trend isn't broken this Sunday.

Ben Johnson?? Ben Johnson?? LOL
BringBackFergy replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Please count the number of 1st/2nd round offensive/skill players at Detroit/Chicago vs Buffalo in the last 8 years and report back. “Benny” has been given a set hand for the last 5 years. -
I think Thielen is a couple weeks too late on this one…although maybe minny wouldn’t have granted his release til now. Even if he has juice left there is just not a lot of time to get acclimated honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we brought him in at this point though haha

Looking ahead to the Patriots rematch.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to WhiskyBreath's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not likely as that is the one week where both CBS and Fox have a 4:25 game that day and CBS has Green Bay at Denver so would not want to give that up. Fox doesn't have the best choice of 4:25 games, but doubt that CBS would give it up and the Sunday night game involves Dallas who is always a big draw so not likely NBC would want to give that one up. Actually CBS has 3 very good early 1:00 games that day, Bills @ NE, Rams @ Chiefs, and Balt @ Bengals so could just as easily argue in favor of flexing the other two also. Don't know if they flex to Monday night? That's kind of a dud, Steelers at Miami, but even there, Steelers draw well on TV too. -
If they put White out there I quit. Done.

I’m with you on the non 1p starts … I don’t mind a few later games, but this season has been overboard with them. Then again, if you have nothing but 1p games, that tells me plenty about your team. I’m not overly impressed by the victory either, largely because I think our air attack remains pure garbage, and speaking of pure garbage? The Squealers are horrendous and they really need to face the music and blow that thing up from Tomlin on down. No. Ever hear of “The Peter Principle”?

Someone please explain to me why Mike Tomlin is so great? In 2007, the guy inherited a #1 defense with legendary Dick LeBeau at DC, Big Ben at QB with Bruce Arians as OC. In his 19 years as HC of the Steelers, he won only one SB, and that was in 2008. Tomlin has never had a losing season in those 19 years, and he has a winning percentage of .625. Pittsburgh fans were chanting "fire Tomlin" at their stadium Sunday. Currently, their offense is in the 15s, and the defense is in the 20s, yet it is the most expensive defense in the NFL. Speaking of long-term head coaches. John Harbaugh, in his 18 years as HC of the Ravens. Now this man inherited a 5-11 lousy team with both the offense, defense in the 20s. However, he did inherit a LBer named Ray Lewis. In 2012, he won an SB with Joe Flacco at QB. No Super Bowls since then, and I'm suspecting it was because all AFC teams were blocked by Tom Brady and the Patriots. In that 2012 season, they beat NE. Baltimore drafted Lamar Jackson the same year as Josh Allen in 2018, and Jackson is a two-time MVP. Harbaugh has a winning percentage of .618% NOW, the team that has been blocking all AFC teams from advancing to the SB has been the Kansas City Chiefs, save for one year, in which the Bengals got in and lost in 2021. The thing is, at the end of this season, TE Travis Kelce might retire, and HC Andy Reid might retire too. Which would make the Chiefs just another team. Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has a winning percentage in his 9 seasons of .657%. That said, this year's Buffalo Bills are built for cold weather with that #1 in the NFL rushing team. They play Cincy, at NE, at Cleveland, Philly, and the NY Jets. Then, every one of those games will be played in cold weather, and possibly in the snow. Perfect for this team.

He really has been the reason the run defense has been better. They broke down the season average and discounted the atlanta game since TB was hurt in the game. rushing yards per attempt this season early on WGR: TB: 5.3 ST: 3.1

Milano always seems to play absolutely terrible for a long stretch post injury then he turns it on out of seemingly nowhere haha -
Yes. We could use his veteran experience, great hands & insurance for Shakir

Odds of Wild Cards meeting in the Super Bowl could be high.

I did an “I oughta” switch. But yeah, that be a welcome sight.
