  1. Past hour
  2. To you and everyone else reflexively against anything Trump is involved with. If he organized a pride event those same people would suddenly take issue. That last bit is hyperbole. Kind of.
  3. James Cook is obviously a way better running back than Ray Davis at this point in career. In defense of Davis though he was often brought on in short yardage situation and when we were just trying to run out the clock late in games. That's why he was third in the league into running into stacked boxes (8 men in the box). He was also 4th in the NFL in missed tackles created per attempt so I do expect him to get better as Cook and Singletary made quite the jump in their 2nd season. Rookie wall and everything. The one game where Cook missed Davis went 20 carries for 97 yards so he's capable at least.

  5. So you argue that we don't have difference makers ... and yet we've been a terrific offense year after year. Being a great offense is the goal of the offense, and we're achieving it. Where's the problem there? We were an excellent offense with Singletary before Cook. There's a lot of different ways to be excellent. I'm with Barley in that I think we do know what the Bills under Beane will do about investing in an RB if the RB (decision maker or not) insists on $15M AAV. That could be wrong, certainly, but it doesn't appear so. We'll see.
  6. Good points, all. That second paragraph is the part that the "pay him $15M AAV" crowd wants to forget. I too think you know Beane's most likely answer.
  7. You'd like to see some evidence that overpays at WR are equivalent? I'd like to see some evidence that they aren't. And there really isn't such a thing, either way, since overpaying is based on opinion. You clearly think WRs are paid too much, so you see overpays everywhere at that position. Your perception isn't something that can be proved. It could maybe be somewhat supported with massive amounts of contract examination. But you'd still be saying that this guy is an overpay in many many cases where someone fair-minded could disagree. "The NFL has changed a bit since [2019]," you say? Exactly correct. "A bit." The NFL changes every year. But a bit of inflation here and there and a re-shuffle in which positions are paid a bit more is NOT some kind of earth-shaking paradigm shift. It's what happens in football all the time. Pretending that 2019 was the stone ages and the Paleolithic era of six years ago shouldn't count is just nonsense. Beas and Brown are much the same type of mid-level contracts the Bills have mostly given receivers, frustrating those who want to see them bring in higher-paid guys. As Shaw pointed out, this appears to be what the Bills want to do. And their offense has been terrific, consistently. Cooper indeed wasn't a free agent. Which has nothing to do with how much he was paid and which team acquired him. We got him. Cheap. Other teams didn't. We did. And you know it. You used Diggs as evidence for your side. He was also acquired by trade. And it was indeed worth every penny to take his salary on board. What, only trades that show what you want them to show count, but the ones that don't fit your narrative somehow don't count? Sorry, I somehow had the idea they'd renegotiated Diggs right after the Vikings trade. Fact is, though, that acquiring his very expensive contract was a terrific move. The renegotiation (also not free agency, shouldn't count if only free agency is involved) in 2022 was a failure. But getting him in here in 2020 and paying that contract was a tremendous success. For a tremendous offense.
  8. Seems like Edmonton never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity. They really had a chance to take control of this series at home, and they laid an egg!! Indiana blowing Game 4 in the NBA finals, and Edmonton losing Game 5 in the Stanley Cup finals could prove costly for both teams, IMO.
  9. Homelander must be honoured. Living rent free in the MAGA-trolls heads. Not only do they publicly announce their ignores, like little children, but they also honour him with dedicated threads. So cute! 😍😍😍 I am 100 % sure they DM each other constantly sharing their love and admire. #bögbröllop

  12. This is the opinion of all too many leftists. Eventually, the other 50 will meet them at gun point and then they will come to a more full understanding.
  13. Wow, pot meet kettle. Lunatics They could always self deport
  14. agree with all but the last part. Here in Pgh most are weary of Rodgers. Malkin should have been traded years ago. Too late now
  15. You understand the concept of bankruptcy, yes? That is the reason.
  16. I will say this. If ...and it's a big if, the ol of Pittsburgh can keep Rodger upright they will be a tough out. Rodgers can still read a defense and still has the arm to make all the throws. His negative is his body isn't getting any younger and he is a statue in the pocket. I am not laughing with this signing like some. He is still a good QB but his ego is intolerable. Which is why we all want him to fail. But, he honestly fits right in with all the Steelers fans I know.

  18. Grabbitz may not yet be TBD Rushmore worthy but is certainly notable 🤘
  19. The whole vibe around the army parade is a bit weird. I have mixed feelings about it all. Cheering people driving deadly war machines is’nt an American tradition, although we use those machines to do plenty of killing. We all know the death and pain those machines inflict. We still have bad memories of Iraq. Plenty of Americans and innocent civilians died there. Trump himself ran on keeping us out of stupid wars and disapproval of all the money and lives wasted there. Trump sending Guard troops into LA against the wishes of the state is another weird part of it all, along with his admiration for dictators. On the other hand, 250 is a significant anniversary for the Army. We all should be proud of that. The whole event seems a bit Ho-hum and tomorrow we will be on to other more significant things.
  20. I like the shorts
  21. I think we’re close on opinion and just talking past each other. We only have the OTA data to go on. It’s poor because small sample size and least meaningful reps. But from this data I put more stock in the fact that Tre is only playing with the ones than he’s not playing well. I am not at all saying he’s safe for September. I’m saying playing with ones is more important than playing poorly. If he keeps playing poorly with ones I think he makes the team cause who you play with matters more than how you play (I think this is a Brucism). So maybe we’re talking about continuing on the same path differently. You presumably mean badly and against other players and I mean badly with the ones. But if you think he gets cut playing badly with the ones into TC then we’ll have to see if the situation arises. Otherwise we agree on the outcomes. Plays better with ones and makes the team or plays badly with second string and is cut.
  22. Very fair list. Some of these guys I was too young to appreciate but I agree that Bruce is hands down the best on the field player ever. A dominant 3-4 DE that was a nightmare for a whole OL. I am very critical of our DE today but I was spoiled too learn and watch the game with such an elite player.
  23. Particularly significant in their party of choice. Of course not, can't lie when people can read it.
  24. Pry be more people at the parade than yesterdays lol
