Define “ready.” Physical? Mental? Or pre prepared to kick in a high leverage game? Probably all three, and I think McD is done with Bass. One less headache if he’s not around.

We had a very good passing game last year, so I am perplexed about this season. I don’t think Brady is calling games the as he did last year. Two examples. One, we ran that 4 + 1 receiver formation a lot and opposing defenses had a helluva time defending it. I haven’t seen that much. Second, we used Ty Johnson a lot as a third down receiver and we don’t see that much, don’t see throws to any RBs for the most part. As a result we aren’t seeing guys open as much and we see Josh trying to figure things out, hesitate, and such. Brady has to get play calls going that scheme guys open and take advantage of things guys do well. Just having Keon run sideline back shoulder throws is yet another example.

What does Mahomes have at the WR position that would be considered elite ... also NOTHING!!! Out of the three teams you mentioned with good WRs, two are not very good teams. Spending so many resources on WRs has not helped them get as close as the Bills have on a consistent basis. Philly is a good team, but Smith is not "elite," he just isn't. And it's arguable that the reason they spent so much is because their QB really isn't that good as a passer compared to guys like Mahomes, Burrow and Josh, and needs support in that specific place. And the Chiefs are the best of the bunch on offense, without anyone elite, though they do have two solid guys, one of whom is probably a #1, though not a "true" #1. For several years now, though, they've done well without a #1. Not that I would mind if we could get someone else. But we're not getting guys who keep getting mentioned like Garrett Wilson and Waddle and A.J. Brown. Olave seems unlikely now, but he and Shaheed are likely the high end of the possible.

Honestly, I don’t know. Hancock & Bishop could become a good pair. They also could be meh. The linebackers are fine if they stay healthy. Can they? Hairston/Benford should be a very good tandem. What is Hairston and will Benford remember how to play football after being paid? Taron Johnson needs to be better, borderline getting to a spot where I’d like to see Cam Lewis there. DL.. Can we get to the Playoffs with Jones, Ogunjobi, Walker and Sanders? Does Sanders show improvement when he comes back? Love our DE room.. Bosa, Rousseau, Hoecht and Epenesa is a very good group. Too many questions for me to answer, but it was always going to be about this Defense gelling by January. On Offense, this is the same friggin issue as last year. And we burned a 3 to get the corpse of Cooper to open things up a bit. Now here we are again. Elite OL, Elite QB, Elite Running Game. Adding even a Shaheed opposite Palmer changes so much moving forward for this Offense and how teams defend us.

Prater popped up on the injury report this week as "limited" with a right calf. Seems worth noting.

Beane reminds me of Andrew Friedman this year. Friedman, reluctant to dip into some top tier minor league talent or major league prospects, made essentially no additions at the deadline to improve the team thinking with largest payroll in baseball if healthy, will be good enough to win it all . So with no quality relievers he’s being exposed in the WS.Beane, convinced that with an improved O-line supporting Josh and Cook providing another dimension with the run game, hasn’t addressed the receiver room since Diggs left and now with receivers on 7 teams wishlist he has to overpay because the Biils pick late in rounds. He could have acquired someone in the offseason but was guilty of overvaluing Coleman, Moore and Samuel as a viable part of the receiver room. Palmer is at best a 3 and is arguably a slot receiver. I’m praying Beane brings in a quality receiver and a reliable secondary piece or we will be playing undermanned as a wildcard team, frustrated with an early exit from the playoffs.

I love that guy. You could keep going. For me, Heat, Black Hawk Down, Superman, Armageddon, and on and on. I loved him in a bit part in Shooter, the TV show. He can play so many different roles. Bottom line, he is Buffalo, and makes me proud. He should be out some Sunday not as the Bills legend, but share the spotlight with Thurmon, or someone. I think his kids would like that one. I love when every couple of years he some son WGR when we are competing for a playoff spot. -
The first injury report of the week was for Wednesday 10/29 and JA17 was not listed on there. Not even for vet rest.

we have bad WRs, but great RBs and TEs. the solution is to put our best people on the field and be balanced running and passing. it just so happens our QB and RB are two of the best runners at their position in the NFL, and our OL is a run blocking machine. allen looked uncomfortable vs carolina because he is uncomfortable playing under center. he is also a better qb playing under center. who cares if he's uncomfortable? let's just put up 40 points and embarrass opponents.

Mahomes was dancing around in the pocket and inevitably someone breaks open. On that long Kelce play, Kelce was an inline blocker and the receivers took all the defenders way downfield. Kelce just slid out for a 5yd dump off that turned into 30+ yd. -
It was a weird compromise to begin with. “We’re gonna offer government funded healthcare but you still gotta choose from one of the greedy insurance companies. They are going to offer it, even though they don’t even know about it yet” lol

this thread is gold already "Billy, this is Landon Jackson. He was really good on a mediocre team and has intangibles, and looks like the Thenns from Game of Thrones. He may not contribute immediately, or ever, but he's so perfectly on brand for us I can't see us not taking him"

Elam was a 1st round pick and single-handedly blew up our defense any time the team was forced to put him on the field. Coleman is not in the same stratosphere as Elam. I mean, seriously, other WRs that were taken in the same range as Coleman in Coleman's draft were already traded for nothing lol. If Coleman went down as Beane's worst pick, he'd be the best GM in the league.

Who said Allen sucked in the 1st half and was great in the 2nd half? No one that I know of. I said he sucked in the 1st half but played quite a bit better in the 2nd half. It's just shocking to me the number of people who fail to admit Allen IS currently part of the problem. Regardless of the surrounding circumstances, he isn't playing good football right now and I'm quite sure he'd admit that behind closed doors as well. To answer your question, It's become comical that almost no one has the stones to ever say a bad thing about Allen. No way can the all mighty Josh Allen play poorly without it having to do with other circumstances. It's just crazy to me. I've talked to fans of other teams who have noticed that it's almost an unspoken rule, you aren't allowed to criticize Allen in the media or in public. He hasn't played good football this season. He IS NOT the biggest part of the problem but he IS a part of it. He isn't seeing the field well, he's bailing clean pockets far too quickly, and he has regressed with this footwork. Again, I'm sure he would admit that behind closed doors as well. He has proven that he is good enough to bounce back from this type of funk as he has done so many times in the past. I expect him to show up and play better Sunday.

Except Davis actually would fill a very useful role the others currently do not.
