  1. Past hour
  2. I thought it was a good gamble by the Ravens, but sometimes players are who they are, no matter what jersey they’re wearing and Jaire can’t stay on the field.
  3. And then most of them do nothing when defenses start scheming.
  4. But last year they had a much diminished defense by almost anyone's standards, including McBeane's. They clearly knew their defense was undermanned on the line and in the secondary. Hence, a tremendous commitment to the defense in the off season and draft. Before that, they, with McDermott's scheme, were consistently good. Now we need Hairston to get back asap, as White is not the answer. And for Bishop, or someone else if not, to step it up. And someone like Sanders to get pressure up the middle. Looking forward to seeing what this looks like in week 1, but more importantly, by Halloween.
  5. Palmer Coleman Shakir Samuel Moore Shavers Hamler Even Wilkerson. Guys I’d rather see on the field before Gabe Davis. I’m good with that.
  6. We had a kid in my school (HS class of ‘92) who wore a Bengals shirt the day after they beat us in the AFCCG. He bought it and wore it just to piss people off. Looking back, he was an analogue version of an Internet troll.
  7. He had an ankle injury. If he was healthy he most likely would be on a roster.
  8. In the 70's in NJ both the Jets and Giants sucked so the popular teams for kids back then was the Steelers, Raiders, Cowboys and Dolphins. These 4 teams had the most "fans" back then in NJ.
  9. I remember it was embarrassing to wear a Bills jacket/coat in the mid 90’s when I was in elementary and middle school FWIW
  10. Agree, but it was less of/not a problem in previous years as Mister Defense suggests. I think the inability to disguise coverage after losing Poyer and Hyde really hurt us last year. Thats also probably related to our playoff struggles as well. Our strength in previous years was other teams not knowing what coverage we would be in and hesitating to figure it out post snap. However, good QBs and coordinators in the playoffs likely could figure out our post snap tendencies and not even care about our pre snap alignment. Combine that with inadequate pass rush and a good QB can hit his drop verify coverage with post snap check (ignoring pre snap alignment) and sling it. Greener QBs are not gonna be able to do that as well.
  11. Honest question-how is trading for Metchie a superior move to the Bills signing Davis? They gave up draft assets for a guy who had 40 catches and 1 touchdown in his career. He hasn’t exactly been tearing up the league
  12. I like Jeremy White. I think he’s good at what he does and is knowledgeable. I do think his incessant rants on WR are annoying though.
  13. I turned wgr off years ago. No turning back son. Best decision of my...life.
  14. Calling Cook and Benford "elite" is a stretch IMO
  15. You keep saying I’m the “definition of a fan,” but the reality is my take is grounded in research, while yours reads more like the definition of a fanatic - rigid, intolerant, and unwilling to see nuance. You frame this roster as “average talent elevated by Allen,” but the actual track record doesn’t support that. Newsflash: drafting three elite players (you identified Cook and Benford) - including Josh - already puts him ahead of the majority of his peers. Let’s talk nuance. Teams acquire elite talent in different ways, but by definition “elite” is scarce. You’re not going to find 4–5 elite players on every roster. So go ahead - name the names. Count how many teams actually have more elite talent than Buffalo. We’re not even getting into how badly most teams miss in the draft. You’re dismissing Benford just because Beane missed on Elam? Please. By that logic, Howie Roseman fell into DeVonta Smith after botching the Jalen Reagor pick over Justin Jefferson. Want to talk about the Chiefs? Isiah Pacheco confirmed first-rounder Clyde Edwards-Helaire as a wasted pick. Felix Anudike-Uzomah? Total mess. Kingsley Suamataia was benched outright, which forced them to go right after a first-round OT this year. Misses happen everywhere. Acting like Buffalo’s are uniquely catastrophic is just lazy. You’re only good or bad by comparison. Trying to reduce this to “the Bills are bad because I said so” is embarrassing. P.S. It’s cute that you’re saying things like “has exactly three guys anyone outside of Buffalo might know on the roster” — and that’s debatable, since most people don’t really know OL anyway. As if ESPN analysts or random Titans fans on Twitter knowing who Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown are would convince me they’re elite or not. Maybe a little soul searching is in order, lol.
  16. I'm loving the added random facts! Keep em coming!
  17. No, not really. Nothing too major anyway. I remember some models a while back had an issue with the fuel pump failing. And some older Toyota’s used to go through brake pads quicker than they should have but I think that was resolved iirc. I also remember an issue with some older models having a somewhat weak a/c compressor. Some old Toyotas will use up oil more quickly but that’s an issue with many old cars. Most of the issues we’d see were mainly from improper maintenance. I do remember hearing about a big recall of 2021-2023 Toyota vehicles for debris left in the engines from the machining process.
  18. I was in my teens in the 70s. Had a friend who became a Buccaneers fan as soon as they got in the league. It was clear to me it was just to be different. It didn't help the Bills were mediocre at best. But the Buccaneers were worse.
  19. If he is signed and has more yards than Palmer then we are in TROUBLE
  20. after driving most of the NYS thruway this summer and seeing the signs all over western and central ny it seems grass is legal.....so the bills are just giving the people what they want. You don't want that! Hank sold lies!! St. Augustine gets a fungus/disease everytime it rains more than once a week. I used to love this grass and now I hate it!
  21. Didn't realize Davis played qb?
  22. Wasn’t he running wrong routes which led to numerous interceptions?
  23. Meanwhile: Howie Roseman and the Eagles continue playing chess above BB’s level. The Eagles are trading for former second-round receiver John Metchie III, a league source confirmed to NBC Sports Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon. According to ESPN, the Eagles are getting Metchie and a 6th-round pick, while the Texans are getting TE Harrison Bryant and a 5th-round pick. Bryant, who signed with the Eagles in free agency, was facing a numbers crunch and was unlikely to make the 53-man roster. So this is a low-risk, high-reward trade for Howie Roseman. It’s the second trade this summer for Roseman, who previously acquired CB Jakorian Bennett from the Raiders for DT Thomas Booker IV.
  24. I say why not, it’s not like our WR room is a bunch of world beaters
  25. I don't know, I remember many a game where the Offense didn't even get across the 50 yard line until midway through the 3rd quarter, and the Defense played what I called the "End Zone Defense"....... the only thing stopping the other teams Offense was the End Zone!!
