Yea, that dude is out to lunch. It would take something more like Rousseau, a 1st and Cook. That would be largely a cap neutral deal and Jerry doesn’t want futures.

I can understand everyone’s perspectives: pay him, don’t pay him, ride the storm and he’ll play, etc. The one thing I cannot fathom is how some people come off as personally offended by this situation lol

What would you suggest?

One thing is certain... This is good drama for the Hard Knocks ratings... Given the injury bug the team has been hit with so far... I have no problem with Cook not practicing... How many pre-season game snaps was he really going to get even with a contract? I can easily see a deal getting done in the last TV episode of Hard Knocks... Great ratings, then all is forgiven... Go Bills!

This apparently was reversed. It's almost like clockwork now. Trump admin does something that his base considers not-MAGA, base chimps out on social media, (assumed) VP Vance reels the big dog in again, reversal occurs.

Have you ever had to call 911 for anything?
Beck Water replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall
I've never called 911. Called police non-emergency number a couple of times for this or that. Had 911 called on me, when a middle-aged woman with her head in the car perusing her GPS ran a red light and t-boned my daughter's car as she was turning L on a green light. I was sitting in the back seat, right at the point of impact. They tell me I said "that car isn't going to stop" and kid sped up, trying to get out of the way. Almost worked. I was knocked out, spouse called 911. Just then a Fire and Rescue truck pulled up. They must have witnessed the whole thing. The other driver claimed that my kid ran a red light and turned in front of them. The police report doesn't name the F&R as witnesses, but it was very specific and definitive about what actually happened. -
There you go. I can envision an entire Hard Knocks turkey burger episode. Now we’re talkin

This is exactly the kind of selective outrage that exposes the hypocrisy. Irish, Italian, and other white ethnic groups and politicians have proudly celebrated their heritage for generations - St. Patrick’s Day, Italian American parades, flags, festivals - all while calling themselves 'true Americans' without question. But the second a brown politician expresses similar pride in their roots, it's suddenly un-American? Please. Patriotism and cultural pride aren’t mutually exclusive unless you think they only coexist for white people - AND we know that's how you little people think. So no I'm not 'taking the L.'

Wow. The 911 repeatedly on hold thing is disheartening. -
Me -- I see a connection: Saturday's Confirmation of Jason Reding Quinones as U.S. Attorney for Southern District of Florida AND Today's foxnews.com/politics/doj-l… The Fox News items is quite explicit in saying that Bondi's Memo did not specify the District where she ordered the investigation to be opened. Quinones was 1) A Judge Advocate in the Air Force; 2) an AUSA for 7 years in SDFL; 3) an Attorney Advisor to the National Security Division of DOJ, and 4) a State Court Judge in Florida. Coincidence?

I’d throw Ceedee Lamb, AJ Brown and probably Nico Collins (was leading the league before the injury last year) in that list.

I get it. I, myself, do accept the fact that Cook is a valuable asset to this offense. I just truly believe that the sum of parts this year on offense are greater than that of last year, and last year Josh was the best version of Josh we have ever seen to date. He was less careless with the ball, took what the defense was giving him for the most part, and he was MVP. Even with a washed Cooper, Shakir, Hollins, Coleman, and a nonexistent Samuel he put up 3,700 yds and 28 TD's through the air. Does Cook affect that? Sure, but it's still the same collection of guys who were pretty much JAG's outside of Shakir running the routes and catching passes out there for him last year that he was successful with(I kind of give Coleman a pass because he was a rook and had the injury right when he was starting to come on). We'll see how it goes but I am still very optimistic about the offense, even if Cook is not part of it.

Just when I thought nothing could be worse than last year.

You are one cold mfer...😁

Cook was nowhere near the player of last year in his first 2 seasons. Surely Davis could improve? In any case Cook will be forced to play this year whatever happens, so the actual alternative is Davis in year 3 + a drafted speed back (for example) or an FA back next year. Not sure it would be that far off what Cook provides in the aggregate. Good player for sure, great last year in fact, but there is some severe overrating going on with this guy. Or to put it another way the extra dollars on WR or Edge have the potential for a bigger talent upgrade than the seeming downgrade at RB Agree with you in the pass game - need to see it to believe it.

????? This could not be less relevant to what I said.

Bunch of snitches in this thread. I know who I'm not partying with!

Whatever happened to the turkey burgers at SJF? Can we talk about them?
