I was convinced that Caleb Williams was going to be the offensive rookie of the year after the Bills vs. Bears preseason game last year... I wouldn't put too much stock into the Bears O making a few plays out there. But our Defense also had warts last year, so, I don't know. Hairston being able to come in and take over the that #2 CB spot is likely going to be the story this year.

The specific concern is that McDermott himself has stated that MLB and safety are the two most difficult to learn positions in his defense and the two positions most crucial to success. In addition McDermott himself has expressed frustration with Bishop. Last year due to his training camp injury, Bishop got out of the gates slowly, took all season to catch up and only started 4 games. This year Bishop was given the starting job and proceeded to again get hurt in training camp. He has missed two weeks of work and McDermott said the other day that the team is unsure of what Bishop is and isn't capable of.

Buffalo would have to trade a big contract such as Olivers and get them to take on a contract like Curtis Samuel’s with more draft picks, and then do the equivalent of the NBA’s sign and trade so you extend him out so you only get with a 10M - 15M cap hit this season. it is absolutely do-able He basically got the value you’d hope for out of the 16th and 9th picks

Really? It seems like there's at least one team a year that is stuck playing "Wheel of dog****" with their kicker and it bites them.

The team plays hard and is successful enough that McDermott will never be fired, IMO.
