  1. Past hour
  2. Being an old guy, I don't care about Gunn, I care about Superman. The preview that I saw looked pretty good.
  3. It was readily apparent that it's woke trash from the preview I saw this weekend at the theater. Hard pass.
  4. DeSantis Suggests Alternative for Musk to Focus His Resources Instead of New Political Party By Mike Miller Elon Musk, declaring the two-party system in America is broken, wasted little time after President Donald Trump on Friday signed his formerly named "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" — a historic, $3.3 trillion spending bill — into law. Musk took to X on Saturday to announce his creation of the "America Party," which he said was a direct response to what he called America's "one-party system, not a democracy." The multibillionaire tech mogul made the announcement after he posted an Independence Day poll on X in which he asked voters if they wanted freedom from the "two-party (some would say uniparty) system." With over 1.2 million votes cast — 65.4 percent of respondents said "yes" — Musk posted Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is not only among those who question the wisdom of creating a third party; he also suggests what he believes is a better alternative for Musk to focus on if he remains engaged in the political arena: The problem is, when you do another party, especially if you're running on some of the issues that [Musk] talks about, that would end up — if he funds Senate candidates and House candidates in competitive races — that would likely end up meaning the Democrats would win all of the competitive Senate and House races, so ... I don't want to see that happen. DeSantis then suggested what he considers a better alternative for Musk: I think if you want to get involved and hold accountable, you know we do have a problem in the Republican Party with these D.C. congressmen — they always run saying there's out-of-control spending and they're gonna spend less, but they never do it. DeSantis said he believes Musk could have a “monumental impact” by championing two causes that the former DOGE overseer has continually said are important to him: a balanced budget amendment and term limits for members of Congress. “As it is now," DeSantis explained, "even if somehow a third party could elect some people that were so-called fiscal conservative, I don’t think it would even move the needle, even if they got elected. And we know that they wouldn’t get elected because it’s really one of two parties.” https://redstate.com/mike_miller/2025/07/07/desantis-suggests-a-better-place-for-musk-to-focus-his-resources-than-on-a-new-political-party-n2191347
  5. This is all true. Especially #17 Sending Tasker over the falls in a barrel to appease the Football Gods might work? Thanks OP
  6. Judge orders release of records pertaining to Freedom Convoy protester’s frozen bank accounts The RCMP and TD Bank must release records related to Evan Blackman’s bank accounts in a ruling that may expose government overreach during the 2022 protests. An Ontario judge ordered that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and TD Bank must produce records related to freezing the accounts of a Freedom Convoy protester. In a July 4 press release, the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) announced that bank records pertaining to the RCMP freezing Freedom Convoy protester Evan Blackman’s accounts are to be released, according to a ruling by the Ontario Court of Justice. “The freezing of Mr. Blackman’s bank accounts was an extreme overreach on the part of the police and the federal government,” lawyer Chris Fleury declared. “These records will hopefully reveal exactly how and why Mr. Blackman’s accounts frozen,” he continued. Blackman was arrested in 2022 during the Freedom Convoy that protested COVID mandates and vaccine passports. In October, his charges of mischief and obstructing police were dismissed due to lack of evidence. However, the crown has since appealed the dismissal, and Blackman will stand trial beginning on August 14. https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/judge-orders-release-of-records-pertaining-to-freedom-convoy-protesters-frozen-bank-accounts/
  7. I also am hoping that it is good. Plan to see it this weekend. Rminder though.
  8. I’ll be there too with my kids, all dressed in Allen jerseys 😃 have you figured out when his practice round is on Wednesday? We’re planning on getting there when it opens.
  9. Tbh, I wouldn’t be surprised if Allen spent the last few years of his career in SF or LA. I wouldn’t begrudge him for it. Of course, after he’s already brought a few Lombardis to Buffalo…
  10. I watched what you posted (thank you) but I don't agree with the conclusion (bolded above). It seems like maybe about 35-40 throws in the video? I saw maybe 5 poor throws. There were also some throwaways and some 50/50 balls that I don't consider bad throws. My impression is that the bigger issues on these throws are a lack of separation by the receivers and also, drops. I agree with this as far as the really deep throws (not just 20 yards downfield). The home run throws are one area where Josh still needs more work and I agree that a lot of it is footwork. That is the one and only area in which Jimbo is clearly superior to Josh. Jimbo threw a beautiful bomb. As far as Kincaid, I'm hopeful that he'll show that he's worth his draft position (he hasn't yet IMO). I'm more hopeful than I am confident.
  11. Yes, let’s be the Bengals. Great idea.
  12. Agreed. Did you see the way they aligned their defensive front? Ends split super wide and racing to the pocket. Bills would've run Duo against that all day long.
  13. Today
  14. I'm not angry I just think they suck. A 12 year old would be like "I have Josh Allen...let's get some baller receivers!" And that to me would be smarter than their nonsense. I think they made a great call 8 years ago and that covers up a whole lot of bad calls. It's just a guy's opinion on the internet, it'll be okay sweetheart.
  15. Exactly my humor. 🤖
  16. Does that come with a homeless fella?
  17. Difference between Buffalo and Kansas City is so small in these games. Chris Jones pushed Dawkins back into Allen in the ‘23 Divisional and we don’t get the go-ahead TD.. instead miss a game-tying FG. Does Kelce catch that miracle pass Allen got off to Kincaid at the end of the AFC CG? Probably. We haven’t had a Jones or Kelce to ride with Allen. Not even Diggs was that in the Playoffs sadly. Even with the injury disparity we’ve had vs them when it matters, we’ve still had our chances. It’s just been evident that Allen has no game changers out there with him on either side of the ball. Mahomes has always had 2-3.. maybe that’s just Jones now, but I believe Kelce makes the play Kincaid didn’t. (And I know injuries and all that .. injuries can’t be the excuse every year) We need some of these high end investments to at least attempt to be game changers at some point.
  18. Now before you think I’m going to jump on the “this is Superwoke” train, I’m absolutely not. I’m cautiously optimistic. I want it to be good. The “Superwoke” kicked into high gear today in response to Gunn’s comments in Variety, which frankly I found benign and aren’t bothering me which is why I find the “backlash” this a bit much….for now. ”He explained that the superhero epic encompasses “the story of America,” and at a basic level, is about a man searching for a better life away from his original home. “I mean, ‘Superman’ is the story of America,” Gunn explained. “An immigrant that came from other places and populated the country, but for me it is mostly a story that says basic human kindness is a value and is something we have lost.” Backlash over those comments? Meh. Some red flags sure. Like more what he doesn’t say. But not enough to jump to conclusions. Especially the incorrect takes about MAGA, which makes this segment absolutely outlandish. Who put this freaking chyron together?? “To embrace pro immigrant themes” is not a problem! MAGA is not “anti immigrant” Fox News. What a stupid chyron to use. Illegal drug dealing flood the system free loading illegal immigration - absolutely. Anti that. Come here legally or seeking asylum because your planet exploded. Superman didn’t come to Earth for the EBT cards and Medicaid. So Gunn isn’t wrong. It is partially that story. It felt like he knew he was talking to a bunch of libs in a scrum and just threw them some fluff. Sure we on the right are correct to feel like we’re about to be shunned by yet another movie that’s supposed to be about an AMERICAN icon espousing American virtues. Hollywood by and large does not know how to do that anymore so skepticism is warranted. They can’t even say “truth, justice, and the American way.” The removal of that line from Superman Returns (2006) which I thought was spectacular, is its only flaw. If you’re going to post spoilers here make sure you note it. Reviews leaking this week with details included. Anyway here’s to hoping Gunn gets it right.
  19. Thank you - give them what they need to get the job done.
  20. Hey, quick question for you: do laws supersede the constitution or does the constitution supersede laws?
  21. This infected cultist gulps down the lies, repackages them as fact, and then melts down when all his ‘sources’ turn out to be fake.
  22. I just want first round draft picks (i know Coleman is second round, but put him in this group) to make an impact in big games. Last 4-5 years have been meh in terms of first round production.
  23. Why do middle class Americans vote for the Republican Party?
