  2. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Incredible stuff.
  3. Our Defense was pretty meh, at best, last year. I’m as frustrated as anyone that, regardless of roster, they become made of glass in the playoffs and get smoked by whatever iteration of the Chiefs Offense we have to see in the Playoffs year to year … but I won’t try to glean too much off what they did to get by last year. That same defense managed to get us by the best team in our conference with the Offense playing ball control in the Divisional Round. Now this year, with the new coaches they brought in, likely infusion of a 1st Round CB and second year 2nd Round Safety and Ryan Nielsen working with a far more talented DL group, I expect to see a different caliber of Defense.. one that causes havoc and manages to get off the field without needing turnovers to do so, allowing them to play a bit differently.
  4. Yes, I am hoping with the defensive influx of talent, that a more aggressive mix it up approach will be used. More line stunts, more disguised blitzes. Etc. playing nickel D so much, does limit what you can do - with so many DBs on the field though.
  5. 1984-1985 was rough. How could you have any interest in Joe Dufek and Vince Ferragamo? All this while Kelly was in Houston. Those were the two darkest years in franchise history.
  6. I'll do my part... .....until it's deleted.
  7. August 9th was actually the day ol' Jer left his body. Interestingly enough, he was born on August 1st, leading Deadheads to call the period from August 1st to August 9th "The Days Between" (after a Grateful Dead song) and celebrate his life the entire week. But to be honest...most Deadheads celebrate his life just about every day by listening to his music. I don't know that I can think of a single person who has impacted my life in such a singular and positive way, or who adds to it on a day-to-day basis as much as Jerry Garcia. The Grateful Dead is the soundtrack of my life, and in their thirty years of recorded live music (just about every show they EVER played is available to listen to in its entirety for free online!), they left an infinite treasure hunt of amazing improvised music and living spirit. No two shows the same, no song ever played the same way twice. As Jerry himself once said about The Dead: "'We're like licorice. Not everybody likes licorice, but the people who like licorice really like licorice". Yeah. That. I'll be in Golden Gate Park on August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for three consecutive Dead and Company shows, celebrating 60 years of Grateful Dead. To answer your question, @Bad Things : The only place I see online to buy the Truckin Up to Buffalo CD is Ebay. They have it for about $30. You can buy the DVD on Amazon. I've listened to the show and watched the DVD. It's a good one! And since I'm here and have already typed too many words anyway...here's maybe my favorite picture of Jerry:
  8. You have every right to have frustration because we have seen this burn us before.
  9. Groot-9 Bosa-6 AJE-6 Solomon-2 Jackson-1.5 Total 24.5 I think ideally you want Groot at 10/11, Bosa to get 7-8 and Solomon or Jackson to have 3-4. I think Hoecht should also push 3-5.
  10. I never lost interest, There were years I sadly accepted that they sucked. Fan since their inception. Even their horrible years they were a constant source of discussion with my family. Many years of disappointment but never lost interest.
  11. I'll.have to re watch the game, because I just looked up the box score and they put up 28 in the second half. 7 in the third and 21 in the 4th Thanks I edited the halftime score in my OP. The audio between Goff and Johnson may have been at that point in the third then. Cause they showed the score right after that conversation if memory serves. I agree, they were the best team in the league at that point. We did win, and the results do say we played it right. Maybe it's a case of frustration, or arm chair coaching on my part. I get the idea, make them burn clock, hope our offense does the same and play it safe. If we look at the ravens game in the playoffs, that one got a lot closer than it should have as well. Maybe there is a happy medium here as the shell coverage has its place, but maybe a little more aggression could help us avoid any problematic comebacks. I think it's worth a discussion. Especially in the dog days of July
  12. Still waiting for Rousseau to become elite. He has it in him, 3 sacks in the season opener but now would be a great time to show it not only regular season but the playoffs as well.
  13. We were only up 21-14 at the half; the Bills didn't go up 35-14 til very late in the 3rd. The Lions didn't even score in the 2nd half until near the very end of the 3rd qrtr on a fluky tipped-ball 60+yrd TD on 3rd/20ish. From that point on they never got within one score of the Bills until the last play of the game because the Bills were forcing them to piece together 10-15 play drives for their points. They played it just right for a road win against what I think was the best team in the league at that point.
  14. Based on the timeline, it doesn't look like going to class was one of those distractions. πŸ˜…
  15. For many of the drought years I became disinterested by mid-season. I watched most, if not all, of the games, but there were definitely times late in the season when all hope was lost that I would run errands and just check in on the game via the radio in the car.

    Caramel

    Oh Henry agrees.
  17. Hmm, I'm not sure Epenesa will be on the team. We'll see.
  18. People died because of Noem’s incompetence. A sad day indeed.
  19. I have actually looked at Williamsville real estate in the last week just to get the pulse of things. I could do Williamsville much of the year and love it. I would only make brief winter visits. It’s not that any one day is so severe, it’s that, like summer in FL, it just lasts so damn long!
  20. I watched the first few episodes. I always enjoy these type of documentary/shows that go behind the scenes. Would like to hear everyone's thoughts on it or parts that stood out. The show follows Cousins, Goff and Burrow last year. Considering the stories of the Bengals, Lions and Falcons last year (and their QBs), I give it a 10/10 recommend you watch. I absolutely enjoyed it. I fell asleep for the last episode so I'll get to that tonight One that stood out for me, was what they showed during the Bills and Lions game last year. We were up 21-14 They show and give audio at the start of the third quarter and it's Ben Johnson and Goff talking.... It goes like this Johnson-so you know, we aren't running it the rest of the game. Goff-yeah I know and if they keep playing D like they did at the end of the half we are gonna smoke em Now, I think this goes into what has been spoke about on these boards. When we get a lead we just sit in a prevent type role and get smoked. It almost cost us in this game. The lions did whatever they wanted in the 2nd half and the game got a lot closer than it should have. Thankfully our offense didn't slow down either. . That said, we won. Should we continue with this strategy when we get up a few scores, or would you prefer more aggression when we have the other team one dimensional?
  21. ⬆️ I'm very pleased to announce that this is human trash.
  22. You forgot the cavity check. Arrested immediately & given a full cavity check. That'll teach 'em to be Sabres fans in public!
