Treating a business as such is not indicative of personal desires though. Signing early does usually carry the team friendly trade off. Wanting close to open market value will require closer to deadline type deal. Hearing Beane today I could see a deal reached in the coming weeks if Cook is will to come down slightly. Buffalo pays a little more, Cook takes a little less. Structured in a way that opens up operating cap for the season. Cook isnt a talkative guy. He showed up, no distractions ready to work. Opposite of what the insiders(agent mouth pieces) predicted. Leading the league in Tds. Best player on the field vs KC. Younger, healthier and less milage than the top backs are all reasons he will get paid.

The talent is just not there. All of the top players in college will go to the NFL. These spring football leagues just produce bad, boring football. Just look at how many of these leagues have failed over the years going back to the original USFL in the 80's. The only football that fans really care about is the NFL and college.

Beane is good at drafting after all -- A look at 2022

Interesting. Especially since Marcus West had been a Defensive Asst/Asst DL Coach under Washington for so long before getting the job outright last year. And now Nielsen is listed only as a Defensive Assistant as well. -
His name just SCREAMS “bust”. It’s one of those corny names that almost sounds fake.

Keon will be the Hollins role from last year. He's not good enough to be a 1 or a 2 but he can be a fantastic 4. Palmer and Moore are 1 and 2. And the radio guys were right when they said Beane didn't do enough at WR thus he added Moore.

Your gratitude is appreciated... -
What stops them is the potential added liability for things like CTE. If they entered a partnership with the UFL they become a possible target for lawsuits. And any profit from spring football is so low it's not with the risk.

I appreciate the questions truly, and I have thought a lot about it because sometimes the kids are simply going from one dump to another and the only way it truly gets fixed is make the parents be part of the situation. If you want to move your kid to another place you must be involved. The government is not real effective at determining what makes a good school, outside of test scores, and is poor at pushing through any system that works. Local control is all that I can see working with involved parents. I will point out that my concern is less about who is wasting the money, private or public schools, and more about the child not being given a decent chance. The online school you linked to I am not familiar with but FLVS is much more stable then what you linked to.

Ball bowling machine > puck bowling machine. And I remember when they were ten cents for a game. 😁

While its way too early to know anything today, the thing I love about this staff is that nothing is given. Everything is earned even with like high draft picks like Elam (who sat behind Benford despite the 1st round pick) or Bishop (who was a backup despite the high pick and expectations). So yeah I agree with you that if Keon struggles throughout camp and preseason to establish his right to and readiness to start now, then yeah, this is certainly a combo we could see a lot of regarding Palmer, Moore, and Shakir (assuming Moore can establish himself once the pads go on, easy to look good in shorts when you are fast). One thing I will add, is that this is not the time of camp where a player like Keon shines, but it is a time where a player like Moore shines. Fast guys always excel in shorts and physical guys not as much before pads go on. So people need to take it with a grain of salt right now when Moore does something in shorts and Keon isn't doing as much when things are less physical.

Agreed. My snarky comment was really a reflection on the fanbase going gaga over Wade's performance. -

Do we have that one? Heck, if we do I say let 'er rip. -
You're on medicaid? What has happened to your benefits?

The place I tended bar at had a bowling machine that used a puck like on shuffleboards instead of a ball and I'd play that damned thing most of the night if it was slow at the bar... I have no idea how many 300 games I racked up. The owner of the place left the key for the change box in the till and told me to just take out a bunch of quarters before my shift started so I actually never spent any of my own money playing it.

Worth noting we brought in Ryan Nielsen this year, and he seems to be the de facto DL coach from all the videos posted of OTAs.
