Where you took a wrong turn in this comparison is that the league yards per rush was 4.0 in 1975, 4.1 in 1976, 3.8 in 1977 etc.. and fluctuated in those ranges for many years thereafter. Nowadays that number is all the way up to 4.4 yards per carry. WAY easier to run the ball in the NFL today.

The Patriots, Broncos and Jaguars have made good use of their 3rd place and 2nd place schedules to rack up wins against bad teams (and won a few against good teams such as BIlls, Chiefs). With no power house in the other conferences, this year is going to be a wide open race. The Bills will be kicking for not being in the position to control that #1 seed and home field through the playoffs. Those bad losses against the Falcons and Dolphins leave a bad taste in the mouth on what they could have done now.

He's going to punt on 4th and short in the playoffs. This aggredsive coaching is very misleading in the regular season.

The Bills did not punt in the game against the Bengals this Sunday. in fact, the Bengals punted just once and the Bills punted zero times.

I have my issues with McD...BUT...I think if he had a better roster at his disposal he can coach them up. I think between the two, Beane has made more blunders that have set us back than McD has (13 seconds not withstanding).

I’ll restate what I believe would work. After the seasons. After the season… 1. Terry pulls in Beane privately and fires him. 2. McD is forced by Terry to do two things. A. McD, you run the defense, and Babich can be your assistant. Not up for a negotiation. B. Daboll is now our offensive coordinator, and you want to keep Brady as a position coach, fine, but that’s it. Daboll can find the creativity to make this work and he can use Cook effectively, but the next GM is damn well going to get WR’s. We already have the OL, TE’s, RB’s, amd most importantly the QB. We only need to fix one last thing on offense. I’m done with blowing everything we have on defense.

If I could get one injured guy back for the playoffs it would be Hoecht. The pass rush was legit with him on the field. I like how Oliver looked but his play isn’t consistent enough. Hoecht would be in my top 5 if healthy

If Stafford wins the NFC West it is his, and I think rightfully so. If We win the 1 seed and Rams are wild card it will be interesting. At this moment I would vote for Stafford but Josh can be Superman at times like no one else.

Josh Allen James Cook Christian Benford Joey Bosa Spencer Brown Id put Brown over Dawkins because Van Demark is solid at LT, bit of a liability at RT. Honorable mentions: Ed Oliver and Dalton Kincaid, but I think the best we can hope for them is 80% - probably similar for Spencer Brown too.
