MNF: Eagles vs. Chargers (no Bills stuff please)
Gregg replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
It has to suck for the Chargers to have no fans in LA. That stadium sounded like an Eagles home game. When all of this relocating was being done it should have been the Raiders and Rams in LA with the Chargers going to Vegas. -
Simple answer -- we were about to get a delay of game penalty, b/c players celebrating a MASSIVE play. McD was smart to burn the timeout, with how shaky Prater has been on PATs. We needed that 1 point to force Cincy to go for 2. It was the correct decision.

Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man the situation NE is in reminds me so much of us vs KC. We occasionally had the better record and thought we had the better team, oddsmakers always favored the chiefs though even on the road and we’d get mad and all defensive then they’d beat us haha -
If New England wins (Next Week), they officially win the East.

What's the Chiefs playoff record in the AFC conference over the last half decade? They are 13-1 since 2019. I dont want Mahomes/Reid/Spags in the playoffs at all. They know how to win games once they are there. -

Honestly I think the fumble that didn’t count for cook this weekend was the ‘bad’ one…the goal line fumble was a really nice punch out by the defender They might not even be in the playoffs without him so it’s kinda a double edged sword haha

IMO that would have made the Bengals path a bit easier... everyone can roll their eyes now but the Bengals are very much alive in that division because BAL and PIT have enough losses to make it viable. All the wins are concentrated in the AFC West and East and at the top of the South. Ravens are about done with a brutal closing schedule. IF Baltimore makes it it means they are playing at the top of their game going into the tournament and I would be wary of them. I'm not saying it's likely to happen, just that I have seen crazier things happen with teams getting in that nobody thought was possible. PIT could lose to the Dolphins and Lions and beat the Browns in this scenario. PLUS, week 18 all of the Ravens, Bengals and Steelers would be alive in the race and all would play in this scenario, because CIN could lose week 18 and make BAL/PIT for the title.
-
The Steelers are not losing to the Browns, and if the Ravens are out of it by week 18 Lamar won't be playing. And for Cincinnati to get in, they need an already-eliminated Ravens team to beat a Pittsburgh team that has everything to play for. Not likely. And the Ravens will beat Cincinnati this weekend anyway, so none of this will matter. The whole vibe around the Bengals right now is that it's all over. Hendrickson is getting season-ending surgery and Higgins will be in the concussion protocol for multiple weeks. IMO, the playoff teams in the AFC will be as they are now, with only seeding yet to be decided. The only thing perhaps to be decided is the AFC North between the Steelers and Ravens. But I think the Steelers will win that crap show.

It is the entire picture. That rant is off base, and even seems to imply that Tage Thompson was a high pick for the Sabres from a tear-down. The problem is the guy at top and his insecurities and general mode of the franchise. It is unserious. The owner and GM are in so far over their heads and so insecure, they cant even conduct coaching searches anymore. It has gone to a far darker place than the depths of the Bills drought under Ralph Wilson/Russ Brandon.
-
KC has serious OL injury issues and their offense isn't near the same/in a good place right now. This Sunday against Chargers is make or break for KC, but then they still need to beat Denver too. Possible I guess that they rattle off 4 wins in a row -- but they've lost 4 of their last 5, and Indy blew the game or that'd be 5 straight losses. I'd be surprised if they beat Denver, Chargers will be a toss-up

Barry Switzer adores you right now. I’m with you. That Tim Graham post about Ingram was telling. I have no doubt that McD is unhappy with Beane. -

Latest Tryout Candidates for the Bills

Time to dust off that Polk High #33 jersey -
It’s a lot more likely than when we came back against the dolphins to be honest. Just need the pats to lose to us and a dolphins team that’s playin better and we win out or we lose to Philly and NE loses to ravens on top of those other results I wouldn’t bet on it right now but if NE loses on Sunday things start to get uncomfortable for them
-
Forget the division and we never had a sniff of #1 seed after inexplicably losing to Atlanta and Miami. We can win from the #5 seed. Beating Pittsburgh in the WC round is doable. Then if we face NE or Jacksonville, we would be favored in the division round. Then I would like my chances with Denver or NE to get to the SB. The only team that would scare me would be the Texans if we had to play them in Houston.

Strap em up boys. Play no mistake football and win physical battles up front. December football time.

the buck stops with McDermott as it should. Your coordinators point is very well taken. Calls for firing all 3 have been rampant. so the jury is still out this season BuckleUP Bills fans we all have our opinions but have zero control. Just hopes and dreams of NFL glory And the QB we have that just might get us there. On his back as necessary as evidenced last week lol GO BILLS -
The Steelers got lucky. It was a close bang-bang play but I thought that play at the end was a TD for the Ravens. He took two steps in the endzone before the ball got knocked out. I am glad the Ravens lost but IMHO that was a TD at the end which would have probably given them the victory.
