  1. Past hour
  2. Sometimes change is good, just for change sake. Shake things up a little bit. The organization has been the same since the 2017 season. Need some new ideas, new schemes, new concepts, look at some different type of players at WR and across the defense. How about Nick Saban? I don't know if he would want to go back to the NFL at his age, and give up all his commercials and ESPN College Game Day. But the guy is a winner. And he has a lot more fire than McDermott ever brings on the sidelines.
  3. The problem is the offense started taking penalties and turned the ball over all of which hurt our chances to win but as talked about already we had our chance still but failed to step up. I'm not overly concerned as it wasn't the norm we've seen the past two and a half years under Brady.
  4. I think if the Bills lose the turnover battle 2-1 that game is a Bills up 3 when the Pats have the ball on that final drive which is a much more favorable spot.
  5. McD has never been able to "stop" people. They rely on either the O makes a mistake and you get a turnover. They will give up a few first downs but at some point there will be penalty and will stall a drive. There will be a drop or other mistake that kills a drive. Very rarely have we seen them be aggressive and just own the offense. That is not McD style. Its the they can dop whatever they want but at some point are gonna mess up.
  6. I never said he was.
  7. And the other problem with depending entirely on long, 8+ play drives is that as we saw Sunday night you increase the chances for TO's and penalty's.
  8. I never thought I'd say it, but I miss Diggs. He just reminded us what it means to have a true elite receiver.
  9. Everyone gets a hot dog
  10. I know it started with the bills but it is the media that is pushing that narrative. No number 1 WR….got it. The bills want to run first, I know that is not sexy but they have been successful. What hurt them Sunday was turnovers and penalties not offensive personnel.
  11. This is IMO a strategic and not a tactical choice. Reading between the lines McD became increasingly frustrated with Daboll & Dorsey for not sticking with the run. Combine this with the need to protect his defense McD's game strategy appears to be run clock and keep the opposing O off the field and score. That's nice in theory but hard to pull off on a regular basis. And I'm not sure McD would be thrilled with a 2 play 70 yard TD drive taking 45 seconds. The problem with this strategy is that it's asking way to much of an offense that hasn't exactly been showered with the lions share of resources over the years. Back during the SB seasons the Bills would put their D in tough spots by scoring to quickly. But this always seemed like a good tradeoff as the high powered Kelly O put a lot of pressure on opponents. McD clearly does not want to go down this path.
  12. Knox and Kincaid are on the field to do different things. I guarantee you Knox is NOT running more routes than Kincaid, and he certainly isn't getting more targets.
  13. No disagreement about the 2nd part. But it's just so hard to sustain the offence they had last year. They barely turned the ball over and I think Josh Allen had the least amount of negative plays in nfl history last year for a QB. It's just an extremely tough formula to replicate, and the game against New England was a good reminder of that
  14. If you want to get mad about a play, get mad about the play two plays later. 2-9 from the NE 42 with 1:25 left. Bills come out in a cover 2 zone, and the Pats get a 19-yard completion to Boutte, who got into a space in the zone. That was ballgame. Looking at it again, it felt like they were conceding the FG after the play to Diggs. Big mistake. Well yeah. It’s clear that the Bills win the game without the turnovers and drive-killing pre-snap penalties in the first half. But they did misplay the end game situation.
  15. This seems like a reach to me. The Bills defense did force a longer field goal and the Bills defense shouldn't have been in that situation had the offense not turned the ball over 3 times.
  16. I think it can work too but I also think that against better defenses in the playoffs this team is going to need boundary WR's to make plays. I don't think trying to get someone in who defenses will respect more and who can be a good to guy when needed is a bad idea. But that's also easier said than done.
  17. Ah yes, my favorite conspiracy theory. Our HC, who is closing in on 100 wins and has the highest win % in team history, is secretly pushing coaches to play not to lose. He tried to neuter our offense, but is so incompetent that it's just made it historically good for multiple seasons and multiple OCs. If only we had a real HC.
  18. At least the guy got a game ball out of it..........If you met my wife, you'd see why i would have left her for a hot dog.
  19. I think that Keon Coleman and Josh Palmer CAN work on the outside. Palmer is a good route runner. Coleman has the size. We have other guys with enough speed to make safeties pay attention. But we have to be willing to attack, even if they aren't always the highest percentage play. Dorsey was too aggressive. But I think Brady has trended too far the other way. Eventually defenses catch on. Our offense has been gradually trending down as the season has progressed.
  20. Yep. Another exhibit in the sad disappearance of he "maverick Senator."
  21. I'd suggest with injuries heading into the playoffs always a very big factor, having as many options producing plays across the board is a good hedge. We all know Allen will Allen. as always, can this Defense get healthy/ stay healthy in January, and can they make a play or two to nudge this organization to the final game?
  22. Every PeeWee league knows in that situation, you take away the underneath yards, defend the sticks and 1st downs, take away the outside yards and anywhere near the boundaries where they can stop the clock and force them to throw long........if they get a TD out of it, well they've earned it. You have to force the O to keep the game in front of them, so i don't know what our D was seeing on the last drive.
  23. Id be good with Shakir/Kincaid getting 80% But 61% & 49% is just Fing stupid
