Both teams now have a player on watch for the opener… Shakir for us and Likely for the Ravens.
-
Time wise, this is very fortunate. I would expect him to be available for the opener though.
-
He’s been available to the entire league many times after we’ve cut him and nobody has wanted him.
-
What kind of person who for no good reason, refers to a player as a loser? Shavers was an undrafted free agent who's entering his 3rd NFL season. He's made $850,000 in his career. What is your definition of loser?

Fine by me. Less chance to suffer serious injury in preseason/camp. sucks that it’s another ankle sprain for him. His ankles are his lifeline on the field

Shakir to miss the next 5 weeks due to ankle

Ugh, ankles can be tricky. Well silver lining is he should be ready week 1, and he/Josh already have a great rapport. Palmer is missing time with a groin, hes more important to get reps IMO. -

Happy Birthday to Marv, the Centenarian! Thanks for all the memories! -
Glad it's not longer, looking forward to someone stepping up.
-
So right in time for the opener? Could be worse
-
Shakir being out for a little really gives opportunity to Jacobs and Moore
-
sucks
-
Opportunity for other guys to step up !

Yeah, depending on the severity of it, Week 1 could be a little cloudy. I'm guessing he makes it back, but he may not be 100%. If it's me, I'm not rushing it, though. Of course we want to win Week 1, but there is no stranger week in the NFL than Week 1. Anything can happen and anyone can beat anyone because of how unpredictable it is. I have said several time that no matter what the outcome is Week 1, it isn't going to sway my opinion of the season one way or another. Whether we win by 30 or lose by 30, even that won't change thing. It's just an odd week with so much volatility and unpredictability. So yeah, get him healthy and back to 100%. Even if he misses a couple weeks to start the season off, it's not worth rushing him back. Rather his absence affect a couple weeks of the season instead of the entire thing. While not ideal, obviously, I'm glad it happened now and not 3 weeks from now.

Yeah what a loser being on an NFL roster.
-
Lots of guys not practicing. Shakir being week to week sucks, but assuming he'll be fine for the regular season.
-
Season is basically over for Hairston with this injury and the missed practice time. McDermott won’t play him or trust him. Shakir should hopefully be fine. Don’t need to see losers like Shavers on the field.
-
Shakir with a high ankle sprain mildly puts Week 1 in jeopardy. Should be good to go by then, but off chance he could miss it.

My grandmother is 94 years old and still going strong. Has her own apartment. My last living grandparent left. I really hope she can continue to keep pushing on -

You're being charitable. I was thinking orange jumpsuited, picking up trash from the interstate shoulders. 🤨 -
How relevant/predictive is the # of INTs a QB throws in training camp?

Miami always looks awesome right up until the temperature drops below 65⁰.
